The crazy thing about Karrigan, is that he can truly make CS a career. After IGL he’ll easily be able to move to coach, and after that, a legend on the desk.
Karrigan is an example of a professional cyber athlete and the crown jewel of Counter Strike. A Mastermind of the game and a cool down to earth guy who just loves the game. Thanks for this amazing interview, great work.
It's not only the amazing names Thorin has been bringing in lately for interviews that's been great, but the sheer FRENQUENCY! It's honestly shocking, remembering how in past years, while he'd have some banger guests, they almost never came in such numbers in such a short period of time. For most people, they would probably have a full career interviewing all the players and figures Thorin interviews in a yearly quarter. I have no doubt this is the esports journalism GOAT. No one can fuck with this guy.
Thorin, thank you so much. Can’t wait to listen to this interview in full! Edit: wow that little insight about your name being engraved onto the stairs at kato is so damn cool! No wonder we saw how much it meant to karrigan when he won. Thanks again thorin!!!
The way of Thooorin: talk shit about everyone who isnt there. When ppl are live with him he is being nice and respectful. If I was in the studio right now he would probably agree and like this comment. LMAO
Yet another banger. I was waiting for this (or hoping for it to come after the hint in a previous video). Great insight, and I cannot wait for the others.
In this interview, you clearly see what can happen when you talk in your second language. Even for such a person as karrigan who has talked fluently in English for years and even he creates gems like "game in the gun" (6:58). And now let's imagine you are playing a quarterfinal or semifinal on stage, and you are trying to give specific information to your teammates. For some teams switching to international will never work, for all others, it will never be easy.
This is why team building and gelling together is important, so u can understand what one means form half a sentence. When u have that cohesion and understanding, sentences put together wrong wont be a problem.
Imo JKS held his own in both positions not many players can do that especially when not practicing with the team.. mad props too him and jks could definitely fit perfectly in faze
Really sad how trophy centric legacy narratives are, most igls would give their left arm to match Karrigan's "failures" on the early FaZe: Grand finals in three prestige events {Kato17, Boston'18, Kato'18} A handful of rounds from winning the first Grand Slam {at either Oakland'17 or Kato'18} Lifted an S-tier trophy with 8 different players {Kioshima, Allu, NiKo, Rain, Guardian, Olofmeister, Xizt, Cromen} All while pioneering a brand of international cs that couldn't even be imitated until just recently.
I remember when FaZe announced their team and it was an international roster we were all thinking ‘wtf are they doing’ and no everyone is going for an international roster. Mad how the game has changed so much. I wish we could see what level 2014 fnatic would be at if they played in Today’s sphere. They’d probably just be in FPL
is thorin santa claus or what cause since when the f*ck did christmas arrive so soon? 10/10 and i haven't even gotten 10 minutes into the interview, let alone there's 2 more parts.
The somewhat unrelated what if, is how Gambit would have gone without the Online period hyping them up (Heroic too) and piling on that pressure once they came back on LAN Plus building the bad habit of having a coach influence too much in Tier 1
This man always drops these absolute bangers with no warning
Karrigan is the gift that keeps on giving 33 and still doing the damn thing! Hope they can lift the trophy in Cologne this year!
Thorin's output lately is his recreation of Kobe's 40 point streak
He’s been dropping bombs on the daily for a decade
this is going to be a classic

Insane run of Interviews for a CS fan

I never want this current Faze lineup to change at all, i love all 5 of them.

Interesting that twistzz and rain could have been in MOUZ. But I guess financial sides of the deal fell through
