Small correction. Portability ki not before 30 days of renewal time. It is minimum 45 days before renewal time you have to apply. I suggest you apply before 60 days.

Sir my suggestion is don't buy health policies from online or else police bazar.better to buy from local insurance agents.they will help us at the time of claim verification.i have experienced this 2 times.Agents will reject the claims when they verify its online policy.if its from agents they will give positive feedback to the insurance company.

Star health insurance is not the good one please port to good one and don't get cheated by Star health insurance..It's my and many people personal experience..

Like for medicals its around 10-14% ... Education around 10% .. including lifestyle inflation also apart from CPI inflation for retirement corpus.

Important points noted:
1) Policy ni lapse avvanivva vaddhu.
2) Even if you are a govt employee, go for a top up plan.
3) Minimum coverage requirement nowadays in Tier 1 city is 10 lakhs. 25 lakhs for a metro city.
4) PAN INDIA policy is good.
