Funny that the international story of AC3 is actually somewhat similar to AC7’s story. Fighting AI drones and proving that Humans can triumph over machines
I know I'm late but I have some AC lore. The japanesse version of AC3 is all a simulation, the pilot we use in AC3 in both versions is an AI by a proyect called D.O.E, the simulation in the japanesse version explain the AI can feel emotions, more as we saw with Alex "hehehe" in the DLC of AC7, and was completely different AI than the knew Z.O.E. The all thing starts in 1992, Belkan War, then "A World with no Boundaries" defeated and was putted in shadows now as Grey Men, 1998 was Usian Rebel War, in that time the belkan company Gründer Industries, made an AI with collaboration with OADF to make ADF-01 Falken, an improved version of ADFX-01 Morgan, but Falken used originally an AI called "Zone Of Endless"(or Z.O.E) used the Morgan flight data to make the AI. The time passed, Continental War(AC4), Circum-Pacific War(AC5), the war happened between Emmeria and Estovakia(AC6), and then the Lighthouse War starts(AC7), The last ADF variant (skipping Alder from ACI because is in real world instead Strangereal) was ADF-11F Raven, the prototype was ADFX-10 as we saw in escort mission, but was failed and then both Gründer and EASA used previous Aces of each war(Phoenix/Cipher-Pixy in 1992, Scarface in 1998, Mobius1 in 2005-2006, Razgriz Squadron in 2010, Garuda1/Talisman and Garuda2/Shamroc in 2015-2016) combined by our enemy Ace in their improved Stike Wyvern to make Huggin and Munnin, but then they failed by close, one pilot shot them down. Now in 2020, Aurelian-Leasath War(ACX) happened and then a clue about Newcom and General Resource are in the aircrafts, more precisively wit YR-99 Forneus, cataloged by the info as "next generation fighter", and what we see in AC3 is R-101 Delphinus, the start of R Numerals fighters, about General Resource is simple, they're Gründer Industries but changed everything to clean their name and make another plan, also Newcom not only was part of GR, was simply GR scientists took away and made Newcom, aproaching this, the japanesse version explain about how Ouroboros was made, the GR Ace pilot, Dision, was the first, then Upeo and some Newcom/GR fighters. Remembering this, D.O.E proyect was in research of fighter AIs, but was succeded in one, called Nemo, and was simulated to check AI's status, and was surprisingly, it can feel emotions and the advantage to take decisions by their own(conpletely different as we see in Last Hope mission in AC7, and skiping Schroeder bad referenced to Matrha, he said "Massa", but was simply reference to Yoko Martha, was a scientist that succeded in sublimation techniques as we see in AC3), and the last cutescene in AC3, us simple, the principal scientist, Simons, released Nemo and sent to Upeo as Peacekeper AI fighter, confirming Japanesse version is a simulation, and the US release, is the real one.
