My 2nd round of potatoes was sown beginning of July, and there’s another blue variety called Huckleberry Gold that’s blue/purple outside and golden potato inside. I’m excited to harvest that for Thanksgiving! 💜
@@SoxInTheGarden oh my! I can wait, but can't wait to see them 🤣 you know what I'm saying. So you do use potato slips for those right? Where do you get them?

And let them grow a bout a month longer. CONGRATULATIONS on your 1st potato harvest. For storage you want to let them air dry in the sun for a couple of days a little more spread out so they are not touching each other & turn them over for a day or two longer for the second side. Store single layer like in those trays for winter with next years harvest. These I'm sure you will eat up soon.
Thank you so much, Carlotta! 🥰🌱❤️ Omgosh, you have a really pretty name, by the way. 💕 Thank you for taking the time to watch my harvest, it was so much fun! 🥰💕
Just a “wee” bit, Ms Ali! 🤣❤️🤣 How long must I cure them before I can brush off the dirt and put them in a mesh bag for storage? It’s been a couple weeks. Your wisdom is appreciated!
First time seeing your video i absolutely loved it i never seen anyone so excited over potatoes just want to say thank you for making me smile i cant wait in the next few weeks to harvest mine here in Ireland so thanks again and God bless you and your family
Thank youuu! 🥰🌱❤️ After many years of watching others harvesting theirs, I was beyond excited to get to harvest my own! It was SUPER FUN. ☺️✨ And having my husband share that experience with me made it all the more special, so it’s a memory we’ll cherish together for years to come. I hope your harvest is an amazing and abundant one as well! Blessings to you and yours in beautiful Ireland, hugs! 💕
Good job! FYI I've never gotten any potatoes lower then 6 inches, you can save yourself a lot of work by rolling your grow bags down, a lot less soil. A very nice harvest! Thanks for filming!
Yassss Sox!! Love it! I grow Charlotte's every year and they are beautifully soft and a lovely texture. I'm planning on digging mine up tomorrow. Those diddly little ones, chop in half and roast in the oven with olive oil, herbs and some garlic powder. They're beautiful! Great harvest Sox!! So nice to see someone get so much enjoyment. The red potatoes will go a little darker, not always green. So please go careful! 💚😊🌱
Thank you so much for the tips and the recipe tidbit! I’m so glad to hear that about the Charlotte’s because I was hoping they wouldn’t be like a plain Russet type variety. 🥰🌱❤️ Good to know about the greening on darker varieties as well, but all the more reason why I mulch the top with a very thick layer. 😁 Cannot WAIT to see how I fare with the second sowing I did of Huckleberry Gold, Rose Gold, and Sarpo Mira in a few months! I sowed them at the beginning of July in the hopes of getting Christmas potatoes. 😂❤️
Nice potato harvest! I planted Yukon Gold, and Purple potatoes. Several in grow bags, and several in mineral buckets. I found, I had a larger amount of potatoes using the bags compared to the mineral buckets. Now, I'm waiting to harvest my sweet potatoes. I harvest in approximentaly 2 more weeks. The count down begins! I planted them in a large garden bed for the 1st time. Usually I use tires with straw to cover them. Exxellent video!
Thanks so much! 😍🌱❤️ My second bunch are in a couple bags like the ones I used in the video, but I did some Sarpo Mira and Huckleberry Gold in the half barrel sized containers, so the next harvest will be November or so. Ooh, do you have a channel? I’d love to watch your sweet potato harvest so I can live vicariously through you, since I planted some rather late and prob won’t get any. 😂😂😂
@passionatelyintriguedarts Are they still more green than mine were? My first two bags kinda died back, but the last two could’ve probably gone longer for a few larger potatoes.
I was so excited for you.. I can’t believe I watched ur video 6am lol I find myself watching potato harvest so That’s fascinating and go to my help tomorrow..❤

I've been gardening 45 years and I still get like this everytime I dig potatoes!
It’s so much fun! 🥰🌱❤️
@@SoxInTheGarden yessss keep on growing kiddo!
Great first harvest. I could feel your excitement. Much luck to you in the future.
Thank you so much, Beryl! ❤️
Your excitement is fabulous! Great harvest!
Thank you! 🥰🌱❤️ It was so much fun!
A little excited we’re you 😂😂. Fabulous job and nothing better than fresh from the garden. Happy gardening 👩🌾, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
Just a “wee” bit, Ms Ali! 🤣❤️🤣 How long must I cure them before I can brush off the dirt and put them in a mesh bag for storage? It’s been a couple weeks. Your wisdom is appreciated!
@@SoxInTheGarden I do mine after about a week of dry weather but longer is ok too. You just want the skin to dry and firm before storing 👍
@myrustygarden Okay, thanks for that info. I’ll bag them up when I get home from work! ❤️
awesome maam so happy to see u in ure first succesfull harvest great work.
Thank you so much! ❤️
Sweetest cutest potato reveal ever😊
Thank you so much! 🥰🌱❤️
Great Job, I love potato harvest days, tfs
Thanks, CiCi! I was SO happy! 💕🥰
Thank you so much for watching, and for that tip! 🥰🌱❤️
Cannot WAIT to see how I fare with the second sowing I did of Huckleberry Gold, Rose Gold, and Sarpo Mira in a few months! I sowed them at the beginning of July in the hopes of getting Christmas potatoes. 😂❤️
That is an awesome harvest! Thanks for sharing! 💕
Thank youuu! ❤️❤️❤️
Brb.. i gotta go and water my potato bags. Lol. Many grand blessings everyone
I happy for you,it is experience for you to harvest.
Yes, it was so fun!!! ❤️ Thank you!
Well done Sox happy potato harvest.
Thank you, Ms Bouje!!! 🥰🌱❤️
I had my first potato harvest this year as well. It was fun reliving it and watching you dig for buried treasure 🙂
Wasn’t it so much fun! ❤️❤️❤️
Hello madam ..I'm happy to meet you here in yt world..wow very nice plants.. blessings
Thank you, Jen! 💕
Wishing you both even more harvests to come. Regards from the U.K.
Thank you so much! 🥰🌱❤️
Hello Sox in the Garden👋🏽how are you? I was so excited for you! What a great 1st potato harvest, congratulations 🩷
Thank youuu, PIA!!! ❤️❤️❤️
@@SoxInTheGarden you are welcome! I'm nervous about harvesting my potatoes and sweet potatoes. My stems haven't died yet
@passionatelyintriguedarts Are they still more green than mine were? My first two bags kinda died back, but the last two could’ve probably gone longer for a few larger potatoes.
Congrats great potato harvest....you did GREAT!!!!
Thank youuu! It was so much fun! 🥰🥰🥰
