I just started watching the show and I can honestly say it is very insightful and therapeutic for me as well. I can relate to some of these discussions.
The first couple: if it starts RAGGEDY it will end RAGGEDY. The grass ain't always greener on the other side. You reap what you sow. I feel bad for her because he doesn't sound like he loves her at all. Not to mention the fact that he used her for money from the gate.
She wasn’t so smart giving a man money over and over. You can’t buy love. Also he said it was more lust than love. I don’t know but I think she will regret her decision to cheat and leave her husband
It's time for this son to get his own place,She is literally abusing this young man , verbally & physically. He needs the guidance and conditional love he didn't get from his mom. She is bitter because of losses and bitterness is never a good thing while raising kids,you end up taking it out on them and the alcohol abuse makes it worse, he stood up because for the first time ,he found his voice . No child is going to grow up respecting an abusive parent. I wish I could be this young man's Godmother ,he just needs guidance. 💕
As a mother of 3, I'm going to say the mom needs some intense therapy. Some young man broke her heart, and she is still living in the past. She is broken and without help, she will be all alone, the angry cat lady 😣
At that point, I would have thanked Karamo for trying, and I would have told my mom I love you, but I give up trying. I am gone like you want me to be.
The problem is that there's too much estrogen (Jaquan) and too much testosterone (Gina) living in the household. Moreover, Jaquan's self-esteem is shattered and battered from living with a physically and verbally abusive parent. Nevertheless, Jaquan needs to bounce and get his own spot. He's too co-dependent and needs distance between himself and his abuser so that he can live his truth peacefully. Hopefully, Jaqaun received counseling post-show.

One thing I learned over the years is that Black parents absolutely don’t understand that your relationship with your children should change as they get older. 5 or 35 they want to treat you the same. My daughter 17 now and I changed the way I parent her not my love for her. Never called her out her name, spanked her once her entire 17 years. We are very close and respect each other. Hitting your child with a case or skillet because they got smart is crazy.
