Excellent review! 👏🏼 I got me a Zigana PX9 Gen 3 Duty model a couple of months ago. It turned out to be one of the best handguns for the price. With a threaded 4.6" barrel, fiber optic front sight, optics ready cut, a flat face trigger, flared magwell, including one 18 rounds and one 20 rounds magazines, among other features. Reliable, accurate, with a smooth trigger pull, great ergonomics and an amazing price point. Highly recommended!
Wow! Even though this really hurt watching, THANK YOU so much for sacrificing the cosmetic condition of that particular piece! From what I saw, this brand and model passed with an Olympic gold medal. Extremely remarkable. Because of this video and many other videos on the quality and performance of Tisas, I have purchased several. Tisas Tanker in .45acp, Tank Commander in both .45acp and 9mm, Desperado (Chrome finish Tank Commander that comes with 9mm barrel and .38 Super Barrel.) and finally, the PX-9 Duty in Dark Earth and the other in Night Stalker grey. I am at a loss of understanding how these weapons can be just as high quality / A+ in the guns themselves, the case it comes in and all the accessories and even, for some, the mods. Knowing and experiencing what I now know and have experienced, I would pay equal to more for a PX-9 Duty than I would a Glock 19. The only thing that I can surmise that Tisas has done, is that instead of spending a ton of money on advertising in the conventional sense, they have chosen to take a monetary loss in the initial stages of the introduction and sale of their fine weapons into the market, placing it into the hands of experts and filmmakers everywhere. Inadvertently, they can't help but offer honest articles, discussion, blogs and videos, unbiased advertising while measuring the weapons up against other well-known pieces and their professional expectations, knowledge and experience. Hence, the Tisas products begins to sell themselves!!! If that is the case, or even in the ballpark, then, #1 I am extremely satisfied that I was able to purchase these at more than a bargain price, and #2, I have supported a Firearms Manufacturing Company that I would stand at attention in my US Military Dress Uniform and salute them while my nostrils flared with great pride!
I just bought this gun tonight.... I went in looking for the Canik TP9 Combat Elite and of course they were sold out, but the guy showed me this and after looking at it, it had absolutely everything the Combat Elite has, and it was $343 out the door compared to $750, plus after watching this im comfortable with it being as reliable as my Caniks are.. I figured for the price abd the action on it alone, it was worth taking a chance.. I appreciate the review and great job.
This gun is made in Europe and is used as a duty gun... so it's built to run 124 grain duty ammo, also NATO military ammo is 124 grain. It uses a stiffer spring so you'll more than likely get a stove pipe when it's dirty using 119 grain would be my guess. I have a Stribog and they like the heavier ammo for the same reason.
Thanks for the video, good selection of tests, paints a full picture. Actually, I have already ordered this gun from Classic Firearms, but this video gives me additional confidence that I made a good decision.
Holy crap. For a $300 gun, that thing seems pretty damn good! Saw one today at the gun shop and looked at it. It feels nice in the hand, great aesthetics and trigger actually really surprised me. I may need to pick one or two up to have as my hidden around the house guns.
@@andrewilliams2751 just got it yesterday yes you are right. I watched another video and dude claim it took Canik mags he was wrong. Now they did fit but wouldn't load the round 😒
If you were shooting the paper target on the 1st 5 shots, why was the cardboard next to it getting hit? It makes it look like you staged the accuracy of the groupings
Make the grip shorter to compete against the king, the G19, and it'll sell many more units, but since it's footprint is similar to a CZ P10F, or a SA XDM Elite, it won't sell a ton.
They now have a carry model 3.5 barrel 15 round magazine for 299 at Buds guns shop free shipping and I'd take this over a stock Glock 19 but not a Lone Wolf LTD19 or a Shadow Systems the new PX9 Duty Night Stalker model has a way better finish than a stock Glock and comes standard with a front night sight for around 350 so 200 dollars less than a new gen 5 Glock 19 and the trigger is better on the PX9 the short take up is extremely nice for a stock striker fired trigger
Man I cringed when you dropped it on the concrete twice I had to stop and take a breath lmao but I was impressed it still operated perfectly with the exception of the dings on the slide nice review

@@lenculpepper9150 im intrigued. Where are you getting these? I’ll place an order. They are literally MAP’s by Tisas at 289.99. If anyone is advertising under that price, they are likely to be sued by Tisas.
There is another review where they determined that the PX9 isn't happy with 115 grain ammo. Switching to at least 124 grain solved that issue completely...
Unfortunately, I have 1,400 rounds of 115 that I need to use up. I'll be switching to 124 or maybe even 135 after that. But I have to say, I've put a lot of 115 through it and haven't had a single issue.
It’s the recoil spring, tisas sells a reduced power recoil spring on their website for 115gr ammo. The tactical and night stalker come with them out the box
Entertaining video. To the average person this will never happen.. the people that would expect to do things like this in real life wouldn't be using one of these. But it's good to know it's a solid pistol better than solid especially for under $300.00 I'm tempted.
I purchased clear plastic sheets on Amazon and used them to trace the grip handle outline. Then I placed on the Granulate texture grip sheets from Talon. You can also find the talon grip sheets on Amazon. Remember to invert your tracing when cutting out the Talon grips. Good luck brotha!
Just Ordered the Tisas PX9 Tactical. PX9TTH All the same features as the Duty, RMR Cut, Flared Magwell, but the threaded barrel is 5.1in instead of 4.69 in. So rather than compared to a Glock 45, it would more like the Glock 17. How the hell can you beat $269.99 ??? Wait, I used a credit card and lost the cash discount so it was $278.09. Commnet to boost your algo !!!
Interesting I wonder if that's due to it being set up for a suppressor and defensive weight rounds/subsonic ammo (heavier ammo with less bang) since it's for a suppressor and all
@@heir__ yeah alotta 9mms do not like light weight ammo so I wouldn't count it against this pistol, you can probably change the recoil spring and use light ammo easily! 124grain and 147grain easy to find 😊 Very common to need a diff recoil spring when you're using diff weight ammo
Poor guy trick with these and caniks designed for 124gr + ammo, lock the slide to the rear and let it sit in the safe for 3 months, then keep it well oiled and run dry fire every day for a couple dozen reps. Seems to be the trick for inexpensive imports.
I wasn’t fan of it either. In the other video I threw it away 😂. I have a custom Kydex one made. Tisas says any Springfield XDM holsters of the same length slide should work. My holster maker didn’t have the gun and molded one using an XDM. Works great!
Bought one on 4/8 and had to send it back the same day to SDS imports for service. Slide wouldn't come off the side and striker wouldn't move forward, when trigger was pulled? True definition of a lemon. Won't keep a firearm that has such issues and will never trust it. They told me? Turn around would be around five weeks. When the Sig Sauer P320 and the Taurus Millennium failed the drop test the triggers didn't move when they discharged. The Taurus Millennium would fire just by shaking it, never mind dropping it. Why I'm reluctant to buy any Taurus G series pistol.
Glad it didn't fire when dropped. Was a concern of mine before watching video. Great review guys. What red/green dot optic would be a good option for this pistol?
It’s like super powdery dirt if that make sense. I’m some areas it has super fine rocky particles. In WA we had Mt. St. Helens blow in the 1980’s and covered the entire state in volcanic ash. We have deposits of it everywhere in central WA.
