this dudes in a suit, of old age, and doesnt really dl much training anymore, yet still has one of the smoothest swings i have seen, and makes better contact than me
You can always work on your swing and fielding. The game is fun. The problem is that too many people ruin it after we turn 13. If we all changed out attitudes and just focused on making our own game as good as we could, for ourselves, without trying to grind anyone else into the ground, baseball would be healthier. We need to stop ruining baseball and normalize just playing ball, whoever you are.
Steven Pham a weak ground ball where you try to hit a pitch but miss hitting it on the sweet spot and instead end up tapping it on on he ground. Usually happens when you try to pull a low outside pitch
To add to what they said below, it would result in the bat “rolling over the ball”. Imagine the ball hitting the bottom half of the barrel and being driven into the ground, as opposed to a fly ball or liner
I was just in Texas this weekend and The Baseball Doctor showed me a great hitting drill to work on this! Guy is a genius!
“You think you miss going to the ballpark to watch a game? I miss THIS!” That is real love for baseball

It's basically when the wrist break too soon on a pitch usually resulting in a weak ground ball
