My longtime buddy just got me into Magic. I'm a little older than I guess your average player id assume but it's such a fun game. Building your deck is so fun and I've only just made my first one, Plains and Mountains deck. Will definitely build more but I think it's a great hobby to have
It’s one of two things. It’s the body’s way of dealing with being pumped full of adderall before the match gets going, or it’s a fidget to keep the hands busy, which helps the mind keep pace and keep up the sense of urgency.
I also think its part of gameplay, you don't want to give away you have some kind of counter by continuously looking at the same card. I also notice people new to the game also tend to order their cards in mana cost order (not deliberately our brains just prefer order) I totally believe its for the benefit of the game and not to deal with stress/adrenaline.
They could show some inset with hands, for some casuals like me. I havent played professionally since 2013 and cant catch up with all the cards. Okay they do a bit :D
The hand shuffling isn't even just dealing with stress. See how annoyed you all are? Some people do it a lot to put-off their opponent and distract/annoy them. It's an underhanded mind game imo.
at 4:32 couldn't javier just kill the cub with its ability on the stack? it was a 2/2 and huey only had two energy available, so that he could pump it only once more. the worst thing that could happen was huey wanting to waste a lightning to save it, because even if cast in response to the prowess trigger, still couldn't be able to both kill the soul scar mage and gain two energy to pump again, would only gain one. Also, huey had already used a lightning, and a cub growing that fast is very difficult to deal with for mono red. and even if he had the second one, is that exchange worth not even trying?
For all those concerned about the continues shuffling of the cards in their hand, it is a stress reliever mostly when a tournament as big as this is concerned.
I refuse to believe that Wizards of the coast cant afford a caster desk that's a little longer. like look how cramped together the casters are poor bastards...
"Who's hand on forehead game is better?" Fucking savage lol.
I have no clue wth is going on,but this looks awesome.
I remember watching this. So much nostalgia.
Wow this is just amazing magic play
i love mtg so much

Isaac Twardowski thanks appreciate it...pulled 2 carnage tyrant this week! Haha
lots of fun + very expensive = magic haha, good luck!
Bosilaify thank you! I have a couple decks now that I enjoy using vs my buddy
This was actually such a fun block to play
No card's ability description displayed?? So do you think new or returning players will understand what they are casting??
Komol Panyasophonlert Im a returning player after 6 years and I agree
Is there some medical condition that come with being a top level MTG player that forces you to flick your card endlessly?
People do it to help themselves focus, when you've been playing for the entire day you need to keep yourself occupied so you can keep thinking.

No need to bring autism into it.
Was gonna say the same thing. Call me stupid or something. No need to bring a whole group of people into it.
NinjaNeroRain hj
that hand shuffling is driving me crazy, i guess they're trying to deal with the stress or something but damn, its annoying

+Totally Not That Guy makes a lot of sense when you put it that way :D still drives me crazy but now i know there's some form of reason behind it
BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THIS GAME MAN THIS GAME!

Can some tell me what dices William Jensen is using
LSV, Paul AND Marshall. Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy? Caught in a land slide.

What colour decks are they using?
5:30 Marshall uses the royal 'we'
So did pro tour become world championship?

Temur energy vs ramunap red... the two best meta decks... who would have thought
If they weren't in the finals, they literally wouldn't be the best so...
Mtg y'all need to organize these videos I wanna see the draft but that shits a mess
Im confused... Ive watched the entire video and am only 60% sure that the Javier guy lost... And that's only because he put his cards away first
I refuse to believe that Wizards of the coast cant afford a caster desk that's a little longer.

Too much hand shuffling.
LSV isn't wearing his wedding ring anymore. :( Didn't he and his wife just have a baby a year ago?
I believe they got separated shortly afterwards. He's with Gaby Spartz now.
Nick Carriere what
I'm sorry I love magic but Jensen is driving me nuts with the absurdly fast card fidgiting
Why they shuffle so much their hand? Do they take powder or something (joke) or there’s something i don’t understand???
do it like in football or any other game. give a yellow card and if he continues to break the rules, ban him from tournament. it's not fair.
CHEEEOOOOOONN!!!
I guess the stress is high and they are forced to flick cards
Chicken McFlurry
Energy was a busted mechanic
lol twitch chat liked the youtubers onscreen last week so now they're everywhere.
wizards you are sooo predictable
Why break it up into 3? Just leave it intact.
more views more money
Sometimes youtube randomly changes heir algorithm, so it's an insurance policy against that I suppose.
JENSON FULLY CAUGHS IN HIS HADN THEN SHAKES HANDS!
