I love peaches. I used to work on a farm with peach trees. The ones at the top of the tree were too big to sell in stores. They were the size of a grapefruit due to rain and sun exposure. They were also the juiciest peaches.

That brought back many memories from when i was a kid. My grate grandmother used to make jelly, jam, and preserve on her farm in Black River Fall's wisconsin peaches, apples, concord grapes, and cherry's. By the she also grew up in Ukraine she never talked much about it she died when i 12 that would have been about 1989.

The golden evening light is lovely, and you look extra pretty in it. Your skills are seriously impressive ... from the tree to the end product. Until this video, if I had to make peach jam, I would pick some peaches, rinse them, and then be very puzzled as to what to do next.

Hi Luba, I once made a jam from peaches and elderberry juice. (You gotta test the taste for the ratio.) Method: I do peel and blend the peaches. Then I'm adding elderberry juice and 1:3 gelling sugar, to add as few sugar to the mixture as possible. I only heat it up enough to allow the sugar to do it's job. This way I don't harm the vitamins too much. A very fruity result. I use this method for other jam recipes, too. But I'm surely gonna try lemons and oranges, too. Just like you did here.
Another recipe would be pears and blue plums in a 50:50 ratio. When the mixture is cooking, add cinnamon powder to taste. A friend of mine hated plums, when she was a kid. This recipe converted her: she INHALED that stuff! Her mom tricked her kids, back tehn, when they where sceptic about a recipe: "That's a recipe that Frank sent me!" Always worked. Haha!

Peaches look fantastic. I have peach and fig trees. I take the peaches and figs, puree them, add some tomato paste, worcester sauce, garlic and onion powder and it makes the best BBQ sauce. I bet you that the peach jam would be perfect for that.

Beautiful peach tree you have. Interesting canning lids. Very different than here in the USA. I’m curious if that’s the entire process or do you also do a boiling water bath method to be sure lids seal
