Haha too far off on the mental gymnastics to make episode 12 fit in that I was spit balling. "You have to look at it like, since this is a different planet, a different Earth with a different John Diggle, a different Clark Kent, [a] different Lois Lane, [and] all characters on our show, there was a different Oliver Queen who was a hero, [he] was Green Arrow, and met an unfortunate end. There were others, but nobody was Superman. Nobody had powers. Superman was the first powered hero to show up and change the game 20 years ago." Sam's wording definitely made me think that he meant there were no other heroes at all on this Earth but he was meaning no POWERED heroes on this Earth. So, Oliver was a Green Arrow and something happened that Superman apparently couldn't handle and it required Green Arrow, Diggle, and some unnamed powered people to help (Team Arrow maybe). Oliver still died to something and was influential enough for his opinion on Superman's character and importance as a hero to be highly regarded even to people like Sam. It's quite the stretch but it makes me really curious what kind of life this world's Oliver had. The only reason the sun didn't kill superman like I predicted is because Tal used some of batman's spray on plot armor on supes off screen ok? 😤 Another great reaction btw.
@@mayareads708 all the earths, but only the paragons and those martian manhunter and cisco gave memories back to remember it. So that's why people thought this S&L had to be the ones involved during crisis.
I'm glad this series decided to use John Henry Irons/Steel and continued to use him and his daughter and I'm interested to see how they tie him with Bruno Mannheim next season. Here's hoping both him and Nat finally add the logo to their suits since they're part of the family now.
During more than half of the episode, I had chills ; and tears as the story was progressing... Above everything 'Superman & Lois' is or has (in terms of qualities or flaws), what's very clear and truly matters in the end is that this show really has a lot of heart to it. The writers have been really good at making you highly invested, by giving a lot of layers and emotional background to each and everyone of all the main characters (Kal, Lois, Jordan, Jonathan, Sam, Tal, Lana, Kyle, Sarah, John Henry, Natalie), so the series feels deeply moving when the story goes through intense moments like those in this episode. A powerful episode for many many reasons, because it resonates in-deep and on so many levels... Reminding you how life and how our planet, are very fragile things that are to be cherished and taken care of. This episode could work very well as a series' ending. But the various cliffhangers were very satisfying too ! Up until now, it's been a really really good series (highly underappreciated, based on the relatively small popularity it has, in proportion to its overall quality ; if it had been released in the same era as 'Smallville', they would have had a similar impact). I hope they'll continue to please us with this heartgrabbing quality they're so good at infusing into most episodes.
Clark did say that his powers were coming back to him slowly and since he is a alien in DNA it is plausible that Clark might not at the time have his super abilities but still be able to breathe in outer space. And again Jordan's powers are increasing this season still needs work on his landing, LOL but for me when Jordan does not doubt himself he is a force to reckon with Jordan, SLAMMED a powered up Ally Allston before she could kill his uncle Tal Rho.
Man when superman started rewinding time like christopher reeve, I got chills, then when he hit the ground I lost it!! It looked like a damn comic cover, A damn painting!!
LOL! I do love when Clark said throw him into the sun, Tal Rho, and his sons looked at him like he was nuts! Seeing Superman fully powered like that was a visual treat. And look at Tal Rho getting his flirt on with Bizarro Lana. And we finally have confirmation that this show is NOT connected to the Arrowverse and is indeed it's own separate universe similar to Stargirl & now canceled Naomi.
I think the writers had intended to have arrowverse crossover but since its all but canceled they had to make a decision and separate superman and lois. they said this would open a can of worms since diggle mentioned others and the crisis crossover where superman found out he now had twin boys.
If you stick to "in universe", not "what the writers might have intended", then it makes sense and is logically consistent, or at least can be. The Superman we saw at the end of Crisis may not be the same Superman we have in S&L. That Superman *was* on earth prime, with Supergirl, Flash, team arrow, etc. This Superman, had many differences from that Superman, even from the first episode, the most obvious being the costume & heat vision. The stuff with Diggle in season 1 is more difficult, but could be This earths Diggle, and implies there was a team Arrow on this earth as well...
They named him the man of tomorrow I think we are headed towards Lobo and Darkseid this show is amazing... couple of things of note one the lois at the end is not their lois .... notice how she goes to question Allie and she fully understood bizzaro Allie, then remember how the lois of bizzaro world was glued to Jordan's hip notice after everything at the end of the episode who she was glued to, it was subtle but it's there !
I am so happy that Crissy knows the truth now. It's good for her to be aware of the secret because know anything that happens in the town she'll know it is safe. I also liked that she was literally the only person in the entire arrowverse to have a reasonable reaction to finding out that someone she knows is a superhero. she didn't get mad or tell Lois to get away, she just was super (no pun intended) exited that her BFF's husband was the world's best hero. It will be interesting to see how Crissy deals with having to edit stories that she writes that deal with superman leaving out any info that only people who truly know would know given her dedication to the truth.
As someone who has seen only Superman and Lois and no other Arrowverse shows, I am fine with it being disconnected but I would be just as angry as other fans if I had seen other shows. I loved the finale and looking forward to more!
Absolutely loved this finale, I knew Tal would factor into Superman getting his powers back, supercharged Superman might be the most badass moment of Superman ever put to screen, Chrissy staring at Clark was hilarious, I liked the callback of Superman making a new fortress on the water… about the reveal… I don’t care, I actually like Superman being the only hero on this earth, it reminds me of the older comic films that were solo before everything became a “shared universe” love the show, can’t wait for season 3
I wonder if they plan on giving Jon tactical telekinesis. If I recall correctly, there was one version of Superboy who was super intelligent and could manipulate technology first. He eventually developed Superman’s full power set, reduced weaknesses and micro vision. But, the very first power was tactical telekinesis. 🤔
I also wonder when Jonathan finally meets his computer-generated grandmother what tech surprises, she will enlighten Jonathan into? I hope season 3 explores that with the Jonathan character?
Can you imagine Tal coming back to this world, knowing Lana was his wife…especially how their relationship was in season 1, and how much she hated him. 😂
When I found out about this show not being part of Arrowverse my heart broke. Like really, I had tears in my eyes. I'm with Arrowverse since first episode of Arrow.... And if not for Arrowverse - this show probably wouldn't exist.... But writers are doing shit of this. Like I know, most of Arrowverse shows ended, so it's hard to keep it all together, but still it's heartbreaking for me
He didn't have his powers, but he's still an alien. Maybe Kryptonians can just naturally breath in space. (that's the way I tried to reason it, anyway).
Or maybe a Little of his powers had already returned...not much, but enough that he could survive for a while in space. There's still a problem of he and Tal Talking in space. Physically that's not possible, at least not in the usual way, since there's no air. Of course scifi writers have been ignoring that for decades; how much fun would Star Trek or Star wars be if all of those space battles had no sound whatsoever? Some of the comics have beings that can live in space generally use some form of telepathy for communication in space. But we see Tal & Clark's lips moving.
Thank you, for being a little calmer about the disconnection. Everybody that I have seen is so mad. DC did this, I honestly don’t want to blame Todd for all of this. Supergirl did use a lot of Superman villains like Lex. So maybe Superman and Lois can use some of those characters now and remake them. I do think that WarnerBros Discovery, are ending the Arrowverse after Flash is done. And they might not want to end Superman and Lois because it is hit for them on HBO max and it’s doing really well.
It's doing So well in fact that Discovery isn't going to put Superman & on San Diego Comic Con because Zaslev the cheapskate wants to save money by any means necessary.
@@elijahabraham569 again if it is that successful then why not have the cast & Showrunner on Comic Con ? I won't argue with the fact it's doing absolutely well on HBOmax head of HBO & HBOmax Casey Boyles himself said that. But if that's true then so is the fact Batwoman also did well on HBOmax Boyles himself said that. If fact the working relationship between HBOmax & Berlanti is going so well in fact according to TVline HBOmax offered to give Legends & Batwoman one more season to wrap up their respective stories but Discovery stopped that from happening. Discovery also cut out according to recent test screenings of the Flash movie tease for Grant Gustin appearance in the future. Discovery is doing what AT&T thought was stupid & has almost killed the Arrowverse. My main point is that even taking Arrowverse out of the equation Zaslev isn't allowing marketing for DC'S Superpets movie, Black Adam & Shazam 2 to take place on Comic Con even though they are not next year but rather 2 months away. This guy is a cheapskate & I don't trust the future of DC under his supervision.
@@elijahabraham569 I give it about 2 more seasons before the announcement of the new Superman movie Zaslev is pursuing derails Superman & Lois. Again Zaslev looks up to Alan Horn AKA the guy who both before & after Superman returns literally F**KED with the production of Smallville.
I personally could have used more explanation into when the Bizarro citizens blipped back to their home world. Did everything just blip back to where they should have been pre-merger? If so, when? Was it when John Henry and Natalie closed the portal? Was it when Superman separated Ally and Bizarro Ally? Or was it when Superman apparently knocked the Bizarro planet to its proper place in the universe or into its proper dimension? And how did that work? We saw that he increased his speed by circling Bizarro world to build up his kinetic energy. But when he struck the planet, it looked like he destroyed it. Did it knock it into a different dimension? Or just more it away from Earth? Did Bizarro Lana and Jon-El also blip back? Remember, they were in DOD custody when the planets started merging. And how did Tal end up on Bizarro world? Did he fly there before the two planets were separated? Too many questions.
I have some of those same questions, and others that bother me more. In the end it probably doesn' tmatter much if all the people bliped back to their original earth when either they closed the portal or Superman separated the earths. Using that same logic, It's likely Bizarro Lana & Jon-El are still in DoD custody, as they didn't "blip" over, but crossed over using the portal. Everyone that "blipped" over likely returned to their original earth (probably when Superman separated them). Again, easiest answer is Tal decided he wanted to live on Bizzaro earth, so, while the two were still close, he flew to Bizzaro earth.
Maybe not the most pumping with excitement every minute finale but I did enjoy it. I felt like all the Superman scenes were solid and so were the visuals for the vast majority of the episode. Some people are very upset that it’s not connected to the flash and other shows that *were* on the CW but are now *canceled*. I’m very excited for season 3! I have a feeling that Johnathan will be getting to dive more into his Kryptonian heritage despite not having powers. I hope to see more development with him and his brother. I also want to see more of metropolis and time spent there. I hope season 3 picks up close to where we left off because I can’t wait to see that fortress! Also Clark said it was a new beginning. Maybe we’ll get a new Superman Suit? Despite some of the soap opera like scenes, I try to remind myself that it’s a Drama after all and it’s nowhere near as soap opera like when you compare it to the flash, Supergirl, Batwoman or any of the other shows. I just want this show to improve and thrive. It has a lot of potential! 💫
This episode had so many visually stunning sequences and great character emotional beats. I like how we have some small hints at season 3 stories but like season 1 this is a self contained story. Intergang likely an ongoing story as that also links back to the comments made by Lois earlier in the season that someone big was funding the X-K operation, looks like as Chrissie knows the secret we'll have some reporter Clark again, also there was something slightly off with Lois questioning Ally that made me wonder if something happened with her & Bizarro Lois when the worlds reset, Jon starting to learn about Kryptonian tech and the family fortress. I've said it before but the casting of Tyler and Bitsie has worked perfectly, I've loved the development of John Henry & Natalie. I think if this show is going to spin off any characters it should be them but I'd hate to lose them from here, I also think this show will be the one to set up Diggle's 'Justice U' spin off and maybe send Tag off with him. Setting this show as another universe and not earth prime makes so much sense and opens up possibilities whereas being on earth prime closes down so many stories. The show can now avoid the constant "where's x, y, z hero' when anything occurs, when realistically with the status of the AV shows and actors being done with it we know they're not going to show up, so I'm happy to see this show do it's own thing.
It's uncanny. I'm not even upset about Superman & Lois being on a different Earth other than Earth-Prime. I mean it, I actually like it and makes sense in regards to the different Morgan Edge's (actor-wise) we've had and the different Lucy's (personality wise) we've had and I think it makes the Superman & Lois story better. But the whole Diggle situation still bothers me. I'll accept Todd's explanation but it makes my head hurt to think how the Diggle I saw two weeks ago on The Flash is NOW a different Diggle from the Diggle we saw last night and last season. UGGH...whatever. We basically have 3 different CW Superhero shows on 3 Different Earths again. It does suck to see The Arrowverse kinda going out like this, because I've been rocking with CW since the Smallville days. But I will say that when SmallvilIe was ending, I wasn't looking forward to Arrow because Justin Hartley was my Green Arrow and that was it! I thought it was a futile attempt to keep superhero shows going and yet it birthed this beautiful TV universe we have/had now for 10 years. I have the same kinda love for Superman & Lois, S1 & 2 that I had for The Flash & Arrow's first two seasons and maybe this is the start of something new. If it has to pull away from Earth-Prime to maintain that greatness it's had these first two seasons, Cool! But maybe, just maybe, we'll see some of those other heroes Diggle mentioned last season, down the line, and like you said, build it's on League of Superheroes up. We just know it won't be any POWERED heroes. HAH!
It's because of Zaslev & Discovery that Superman & Lois isn't set within Arrowverse. Todd Helbing thought that the show should stay seperate from Arrowverse from the beginning but Berlanti, WBTV & DC keep the references in the show for the time being. Then the merger happened Zaslev promised to cut costs down by 3 billion by any means necessary. Batwoman & Legends got cancelled despite the best efforts by Berlanti, DC & WBTV to give the shows the chance at wrapping up their stories with one more season. At that moment Berlanti understanding that the time for the Arrowverse is propubly coming to an end decided that Superman & Lois as a new show with more season potential can be set within the Arrow multiverse & thus gave Helbing the permission while they were shooting the final 4 episodes to make it seperate from Earth-Prime. Otherwise even the tie in comic Earth Prime from the shows writers all indicated that they wanted crossovers but with Cheapskate Zaslev running things I don't think he will let that happen.
The problem I have with General Lane saying that This Earth Only Has Superman is,in Season 1 Episode 12,Diggle said that 'Oliver,All of Them would have-"and General Lane Agreed,Acknowledging the Existence of Other Hero's,Yet We Only Have Superman,Other than That,Superb Show,Love it,Can't Wait for Season 3,Live Long and Prosper Everyone
Just something i was wondering about, in the first season first episode, they stated the Jordan had emotional issue, emotional outbursts, will they ever bring that up again?
He was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder. I doubt that it’s been erased, speaking as someone with a personality disorder - mental health issues can be managed with the help of things like a change of environment or circumstance. Since that scene in the first episode, we’ve seen Jordan move across the country from a bustling LITERAL Metropolis to a moderately-sized farming/mining town. Along with that, his dad is now around a lot more (remember in the first episode, Clark had been missing family therapy sessions due to assignments and superheroing), he’s got a relationship to focus on (until it ended, that void may have been filled by the distraction of developing powers) and whatnot. This is not to say that he can’t have an anxiety flare-up in upcoming storylines - hell it could even have a psychosomatic effect on his kryptonian abilities 🤔
I did a short reaction to this ep too and mentioned the whole breathing in space and how he can even be there w no powers. The whole thing has become a cluster fuck. It is a shame to see what the arrowverse has become and the things they've done to cover plot holes. Anyways, great review/reaction.
I don't have much problem with Clark surviving in space (that's better than "breathing in space" which neither of them can do, as there's no air). A powered Superman for sure, and maybe all Kryptonians, can survive in space without breathing for some length of time. Maybe that means he had gotten back some small fraction of his powers, maybe not. I actually have a lot more problem with Clark & Tal *Talking* in space. There's no way to do that in the usual way, as there's no air to carry the sounds. But I hope you're wrong about S&L. So far (up to this episode) it hasn't been Too bad. Not compared to the rest of the CW certainly. I enjoyed the Flash at first, but the complete lack of consistency and totally Wrong science made it hard to watch. It's too late now, but I'd go back in time and tell them Hire a Science advisor, and Listen to his advice.
I still think Todd Helbing explanation on Diggle's references in 1x12 are weak. Keep in mind that The Superman & Lois twitter page once made a tweet in which they called Natalie ''The New kid on Earth-Prime'' and from what I've heard tweets like these need to be approved by higher ups on the show. What's worse is that Todd knew before filming episode 1 that the show was going to be seperate but was ordered to keep his mouth shut.
Helbing was the runner of The Flash S4/5. I'm not surprised this happened. The deceptive fucker. I still love the show. And the disconnect kinda disconnected me from the AMAZING ending
I really enjoyed it. Though yeah I'm confused with Superman being the only superhero here so where the heck is Diggle coming from and he mentioned Oliver last season. I'm fine with it being another Earth cos that's why Kara and Barry and such don't get involved with a global event but this just raises more questions. Maybe that'll be addressed in season 3 if Diggle is more involved with Steel's story. The mention of Bruno Mannheim is interesting. Breathing in space? If Clark was truly powerless surely he would have burned up before they got anywhere near the sun so yeah maybe he'd recharged soooome minimal power. :P Loved the way the sun glows in the suit and symbol too. And that slow motion punch into the planet looked fantastic.
Todd Helbing :“We have to think about this as a separate Superman, a doppelganger of the one who was in the Arrowverse. I understand why everyone has been wanting the references, but it would have felt wrong.” As for Diggle: “This is also a new Diggle. David Ramsey had grown a beard and grew his hair out. He called me and said, ‘I’ve been growing my hair, I look different. Do you want me to shave and get a haircut?’ So not to add more confusion to it, but he’s a different Diggle.” but beardy Diggle was in the Flash too so... ugh... confused. :P
So the Clark Kent in Earth-prime comics is not this Clark... But i do hope both their stories remain the same on either earths...cz thats how even if Flash ends with season 9 they could still get Grant to play Flash cameo on S&L
I guess they can talk next to the sun because it is a giant ball of condensed superheated gas that they can survive breathing? It just shows how durable Kryptonians are!
What I got from this was on earth prime we also have a Superman and Lois with two kids (boys) and they’re totally separate. I feel like this was a dumb decision
I really don't get the big deal about whether this Superman & Lois is in the same universe as the other arrowverse shows. Why care? The many many differences from the beginning suggest that it was never part of the same earth as Flash, Supergirl, Arrow (I.E earth prime). Those of you saying this means there will never be a cross-over...why not? If it's still in the "DC Multiverse" (lol), then it's always possible someone (probably the Flash) will discover there are still other universes left, and he may accidentally (or on purpose) travel to another universe at some point. That aside; I really liked this episode. I did have some problems with the episode. Mostly some of the same things already pointed out, the most major being: How did he know he could overload Ali? How did he know he could split her by slamming them really hard? How did he know how to separate the earths? (For that matter, how Did he separate the earths? That was never actually explained). I hope this isn't the first sign of one problem on other CW shows; people doing stuff to fix things that seems random, and is never explained. Superman can separate two merging worlds by slamming into them really hard...don't question it... ugh. But I still loved the show. Visually it was great. There were some great "this is what Superman would do" moments. Especially risking his life to save the world because it's the only option left. It's not that he wants to casually throw his life away, its just he's run out of other options. He Does ask the others there if anyone else has a better idea. Still I love Omni's comment @12:37 "And that was when Superman destroyed the planet." LOL. (@11:30 "It's a dad, it's a Clark. No it's Superman". :) ). @7:29 Yep, you're not the only one that thought of the sun-dip thing. I figured it would either be that or maybe Tal or Jordan transferring their powers somehow. I figured Clark would be the one to fix it in the end. One other "Superman moment". A friend of mine was watching with me my 2nd time. After he splits the Ally's, my friend said "Why the hell did he catch them? Let'em go splat." Which of course I said "That's not what Superman does."
My life would be 1000× better if Bruno was brought into rebooted DCEU as the leader of Intergang and this connected to Black Adam in the future. Get rid of the failureverse and start anew
The John Diggle that they have is from the arrowverse but his constantly traveling from earth to earth to investigate or maybe his a different version of John Diggle. As for now we all know that this Superman is from another multiverse and it's not connected to the Arrowverse.
Visualizing worlds merging is a tough one to pull off. My bigger criticism wasn't that Superman could One Punch Man the dimensions apart. It was that they ignored the rest of the universe. Is Bizarro world a pocket universe? I guess.
I don't think Lana and Kyle will go back together. Maybe something in the next season will bring Tal and Lana close. With Tal now knowing that they are together in the other earth he might try something.
Actually, i loved it! Yep, it was the and of the world and she made it clear that she loves him, but he broke her trust. Just because something tragic is happening doesn't mean the feeling of hurt goes away. Trust must be earn, he lied for years. It takes more than love yo make a marriage work.
@Mark Warner yeah, different people want different things from a relationship, specialy a marriage, in my case, i can't think about being in a marriage with someone i don't trust and that lied for years.
@Mark Warner i wouldn't want that. To me is not just cheating, is betraye. No coming back. Loving someone and liking and/or trusting then are different things. Children get unconditional love from parents, partners don't.
I loved this finale! I'm happy that Superman and Lois is not connected!! It's not that I dislike the actors or characters but the Arrowverse is so far in my rearview that I can't care. The Flash is one of my favorite heroes but I physically couldn't bring myself to continue after "The Trial of The Flash" - by that point I had already given up on all the other shows. If they find a cool way to incorporate more characters that would be wonderful but I'm not mad it isn't connected to the Arrowverse.
Amen. Whilst I definitely did not care for the treatment given to Supergirl *shudder* there was still no denying that Melissa was a PERFECT Kara (embodiment of the character, again, the writing SEVERELY let her down). With S&L not being connected, if they ever did want to bring Kara in, they could start with a completely clean slate. Suffice to say I have more faith in S&L writers than I ever did for the rest of the Arrowverse writers.
Would be cool if we got flashbacks of Superman from S&L fighting alongside green arrow and a few other heroes in different costumes but when they teamed up fighting Zod or some other big bad they got injured, died or even retired. Maybe Clark wasn’t always the sole hero and maybe he won’t be in the future.
Hey Omn1. Here’s an idea, call the Flash, or Supergirl, Black Lightning, Stargirl, the Legends, Batwoman. Unless you’re not in the same Earth😄. Make a long distance call, Pacemaker and his team are available. Good Finale, but now to wait till 2023😩.
This episode was too confusing and rushed for me to enjoy. One minute Ally is in the void, then she is just in Space, Tal mentions heroes, then Sam says there are none, Superman can survive and even talk in Space with no powers, and then somehow knew that punching the Earth would send the other Earth back to it's universe?! The visuals were cool tho, of course, but big case of style over substance. Agree with your thoughts on the season and glad you adressed the whole situation with the CW and the "HBO money" thing🙄🙄🙄
I was rather disappointed with this episode. I'm sure you've heard of the concept Chekhov's Gun. Well the riders left his whole freaking arsenal out! Where's the resolution of the XK storyline? Yeah they shut down one distribution center but that doesn't explain how it got in the hands of a villain in a completely different city. I'm surely Jonathan or Candice would have to testify. The DOD doesn't have the power to arrested in prison American citizens on American soil. ( Thanks to a Supreme Court act in the 1860s) And what about Candice being attracted enough to a female to actually kiss her? Okay, she said sorry to Jordan. We've not seen her reviewing the implications of that at any point in the story. Is she gay, or bi, or was this just a really weird blip in her life is a straight girl? We still live in a world where killing the gays is a thing. They need to resolve that. And this isn't a Disney movie. The damage done to Jonathan is not something that can be washed away by a hug, a nice truck, and the promise of a trip to the fortress, especially given how many promises Clark is made over the years that he hasn't kept! What about his promise to Jonathan made in the first season and then again in the second season to sit down and actually figure out something for Jonathan since Smallville is obviously not working? Are they just going to ignore that year after year? Then why bring it up at all?
I think disconnecting it is a mistake. Because it could’ve benefited from all that past cannon even if it was rarely call upon. So many potential cameos all of a sudden off the table. If they want to do a multiverse crossover I think that would help overall. I think this could severely hamper Superman & Lois as it did for shows like Naomi & Black Lightning.
The arrowverse reveal is not that bad for me. Supergirl started that way, it wasn't connected to the arrowverse at first and it was ok. Same as Black Lightning, so no big deal. My issue is with this finale and this season. Both were disappointing and uninteresting. The villain was trash, some stories with the Cushing family were trash. The finale was lackluster. This finale is a 6/10 for me. The whole season is 7.5/10. Season 1 was better, way better
This might make no sense but what if the reason Sam said what he said was he was mid-merging with his bizzaro self and was trying to comfort the boys and since Bizzaro was the only hero on their Earth
Well it would make sense that Superman and Lois takes place on a separate Earth away from the arrowverse earth prime regardless the Arrowverse will pretty much be finished possibly in the next few seasons with the last installment of The Flash TV show which I am fine with.Sadly all good things do come to an end with the Arrowverse one day.
I LOVE the fact that this, Superman is NOT the one from the Arrowverse. The Arrowverse Superman was as John Campea calls him, "Jobber Superman". A Superman who was just there to make Supergirl look tougher/better. Also Kara mentioned a few times that Clark Kent is her cousin, then at the end of her series she reveals her identity to the world. By doing this she basically outs Clark as Superman. If Supergirl tried any of her, "I'm more powerful than you, Superman" stuff with the Supes from Superman & Lois, he would just say, "That's enough of that young lady", turn her over his knee, and tan her behind. And rightfully so.
this has been my fear about CW shows! The writing for Taal was great in the first season. fleshed him out more. And with Ally I agree with you. lack luster villain. but other than that great season and everything else was sweet. I did have issues with clark never taking jonathan to the fortress ever they fixed that in the end so all good for next season
Haha too far off on the mental gymnastics to make episode 12 fit in that I was spit balling.

I'm glad this series decided to use John Henry Irons/Steel and continued to use him and his daughter and I'm interested to see how they tie him with Bruno Mannheim next season. Here's hoping both him and Nat finally add the logo to their suits since they're part of the family now.
At least now it makes sense why "Aunt Kara" was never mentioned at any point in time.
Which is a shame, apparently there were plans for her to be present at Martha Kent’s funeral in episode one.
Wow... Didn't know that.
LOL yeah. Jordan "Pretty sure??"
I think the writers had intended to have arrowverse crossover but since its all but canceled they had to make a decision and separate superman and lois. they said this would open a can of worms since diggle mentioned others and the crisis crossover where superman found out he now had twin boys.
Yeah, I cover all of that in the review actually haha
Lobo already appeared, actually.
How is she speaking correctly? Why the visit at the end? How would she know her partner needed to be let into the circle?
Bro watch arrow its the only show I would recommend u from the Arrowverse I know its 8 seasons long but its worth it.
It's a blessing imo. Each AV show lost my interest after 2 seasons if that long.
Basically, this isn't Earth-Prime. And this isn't Earth-Prime Diggle.
I also wonder when Jonathan finally meets his computer-generated grandmother what tech surprises, she will enlighten Jonathan into? I hope season 3 explores that with the Jonathan character?
Perhaps some means of getting to the Fortress on his own?
@@elliotblabla At end of season finale Clark/Superman said that the new fortress was for the whole family to use.
@@RaisedUP2 Exactly!
Can you imagine Tal coming back to this world, knowing Lana was his wife…especially how their relationship was in season 1, and how much she hated him. 😂
i was waiting for your reaction...yessss
@@kazinadbiralamadit6905 that honestly has nothing do what I just said. The show is successful, I heard it did really well on HBO max
@@kazinadbiralamadit6905 I don’t trust him either but separating the 2, does give more hope to me that this show can still continue
Perfect timing on the "F commercials" lol cause RUclips popped up a commercial right after you said it. 🤣
This season of the flash was good tho
It is connected
13:45 ok, I still cannot get over the fact that there’s a Superman Rubix
10:35 either that General Lane was completely unaware of the Arrowverse or that’s just lazy writing in the script
I agree thr pacing was better in S1 but I did actually like Ally as a villain and felt she was developed enough to understand her motivations.
I literally said the same thing how is Clark breathing in space when they clearly said that he had human cells and obviously had no powers
HAH!
Not to mention the different costumes for Superman and the totally different Sam Lane. Gen Sam Lane in the Supergirl series was an a$$... :)
Him splitting the 2 worlds tops reeves reversing time to save louis
Bruno in the comics is a weapons dealer. There’s more to it, but spoilers. Would be interesting if that’s what season 3 will be
I did a short reaction to this ep too and mentioned the whole breathing in space and how he can even be there w no powers.
Bruno Manheim is the dude called "UGLY" in Young Justice
I still think Todd Helbing explanation on Diggle's references in 1x12 are weak. Keep in mind that The Superman & Lois twitter page once made a tweet in which they called Natalie ''The New kid on Earth-Prime'' and from what I've heard tweets like these need to be approved by higher ups on the show. What's worse is that Todd knew before filming episode 1 that the show was going to be seperate but was ordered to keep his mouth shut.
I from Hong Kong. I love this episode. Next season, they may face Kryptonians from John's world in the future. I hope they organize into a super team.
Loved the way the sun glows in the suit and symbol too.
Do you want me to shave and get a haircut?’ So not to add more confusion to it, but he’s a different Diggle.”
but beardy Diggle was in the Flash too so... ugh... confused. :P
bro not only when he was near the sun and talking with Tal I was like dude how he stand there like nothing like he was flying and onne was holding him
My only gripe is that John and Natalie didn’t get the capes or house of El symbol.
Now that’s a solar flare
So the Clark Kent in Earth-prime comics is not this Clark... But i do hope both their stories remain the same on either earths...cz thats how even if Flash ends with season 9 they could still get Grant to play Flash cameo on S&L
Bruno Mannheim is really big. Intergang had connections to Darkseid in the Comics
I guess they can talk next to the sun because it is a giant ball of condensed superheated gas that they can survive breathing? It just shows how durable Kryptonians are!
What I got from this was on earth prime we also have a Superman and Lois with two kids (boys) and they’re totally separate. I feel like this was a dumb decision
so a completely different John Diggle in this universe then explains alot
I wish we did get Bizarro in the final episode and that he wasn't dead so that he and Superman could work together to defeat Ally.
Wait so did crisis/ the antimatter wave destroy Nat home world or was it something else or actually something to do with superman and Tal?
Lana sent the fire department home during an emergency. she is a bad mayor.
I knew it from the 1st episode, this isn’t Earth Prime. Confirmed.
Well, in season 1 the plan was that they WERE on Earth Prime, this is confirmed to be a retcon of that plan.
@@Omn1Media Even in S1 they never referenced the Arrowverse.
@@12chapin They did and they sloppily retconned it.
Didn't Lois have the kids somewhere else because of the Kryptonian physiology? Maybe a time dilation?
Visualizing worlds merging is a tough one to pull off. My bigger criticism wasn't that Superman could One Punch Man the dimensions apart. It was that they ignored the rest of the universe. Is Bizarro world a pocket universe? I guess.
I'm calling it, next season 'Ugly' is getting his hands on a Red Lantern Ring. Highly doubt it will be Atrocitous though, be amazing if it happened.
@Mark Warner the love/ relationship between parents and children is different than marriage.
Imagine how well these writers would handle Martian Manhunter…
im confused how is it on a different earth , im really dissapointed with that
the most confusing thing is diggle
He level doctor then how did diggle's come to this earth 🌎🌎 if it's all about earth prime and superman how is he switch from on earth to next
A different Diggle than ours?
The showrunner has confirmed he's not our Diggle. He's the Diggle of that Earth.

So this Diggle just happen to know an Oliver Queen and worked with Superman...ok
Isn’t Stargirl Arrowverse?? Jay Garrick was in a few episodes.
Idgaf about the arrowverse so I'm all in. Best Superman moments from the last 20yrs.
( Thanks to a Supreme Court act in the 1860s)
And what about Candice being attracted enough to a female to actually kiss her?
Its not a plot hole, Diggle just had a similar bachground.
He references other heroes, and they said here that this earth only has Superman

Now maybe people can quit whining about the crappy CW shows.
