I’ve not been able to sleep tonight so I am binge watching Jen! This meal prep video is one of my favorites. My guy wants me to make the hash brown/sausage/egg bite/cottage cheese combo for breakfast tomorrow 😁 I know I’m a weirdo but watching you chop veggies and listening to your videos is so relaxing. Thank you for providing so many great videos to help me through this extremely long night ❤️
Your husband cracks me up! Now that you mention it, I don't remember having seedless watermelons as a kid either. I am the same with meals. We usually prep a breakfast casserole on Sunday that my husband and I eat for breakfast every morning. I can eat that every single day. But lunch and dinner? I need something different every day. My husband literally eats chili every day at work for lunch. "Cooking in the club"! That could be a new thing. :)
Yes !! I definitely remember the watermelon with the seeds ! As a matter of fact , I prefer the ones with the seeds ...... I think they taste WAY BETTER !! We only had to buy watermelon once in awhile during the summer due to the fact that we had a garden that had them ! But every other year in the summers we had them come out of the compost pile because of throwing the rind & seeds in there ! That was THE BEST watermelon I have ever had ..... And yes I grew up in the 80's as well ! Those were the best times !!
Wow jen another video, and it came just in time as I live in the uk and it is 3am and I was in so much pain so could not sleep. But after watching a 2nd video today I feel so much more relaxed now so thank so much for that Jen x
For kiwi 🥝. Wash whole fruit. Slice as you would a carrot then peel individual slices. Hardly no waste and peel comes off so easily. Really enjoy you’re meal prep videos!
My MIL got me the Dash waffle maker for Christmas a couple years ago before Keto was big and I just started using it a lot and it's great! I'll have to try hashbrown patties. I'm not keto or anything but I did try chaffles in the Dash and they were surprisingly good (but so were my carby blueberry waffles)! Loved getting a second video today! And LOL about the club music and the meme! I love it 😂
The farmers market in Algona and estherville IA were my favorite. $1.50 lb for tomatos. I use a filet knife for meat that my dad got in the mid 70s he sharpens it religiously. I used it to cut up a whole pork loin the other day that was on sale at hyvee for $1.48lb. So much easier to cut fat off and silver skin when its whole. Took about 12 mins. Totally worth it. I would love to see another video about trimming meat :)
My grandkids and I go every Saturday morning to the farmers market 😊 they love it. And after we get the food we need and they get spoiled by the kettle corn man lol. They play at they park in the same area. So a win win 👏
I cant stress enough how much i love your videos. I will soon go back to work after having my daughter and been dealing with anxiety. But watching ur prep and day in the life videos helps me out a lot with prepping...
Loved this video! So cool to see you make so many recipes from scratch! Cant wait to try all of these great recipes and meal ideas! It's so helpful seeing how you cut up your produce, definitely learning from each of your videos! 🧡
I bought a large OXO salad spinner for $5 at a garage sale and a smaller one at a thrift store for $2n( OXO as well !) I had already purchased a new one from Amazon so I gave it to my daughter for one of her Christmas gifts. She loves hers as well! Love all of your videos !
The marinara sauce looks awesome. Something else you can do with the tomato skins after you've gotten all the juice is to dehydrate them (I think you can do it in your air fryer), then powder them in your bullet blender, for tomato powder. It's great to thicken up sauces or to add more tomato flavor to things. I bet that watermelon tasted better with the seeds! I think the small ones that have been bred to be seedless don't taste as good. That was the perfect time to teach your kids to go spit watermelon seeds in the yard, too!
Yes I would love a canning video I'm interested in learning how for next year! Love watching your videos so much you have given me so much confidence in my kitchen thank you 💜😁
I canned tomatoes. I love canning! I did pasta sauce, stewed, salsa, pizza sauce, and tomato juice. Also did some dill pickle relish. I would love to see a canning video from you.
I really should watch your meal prep videos in the mornings. It is currently 9pm and now all I want to do is cook! LOL. You have truly inspired me with your videos, I cook more now than I ever have. Thank you again!
Have you ever frozen grapes for snacks? Put them in snack size bags or containers and freeze them. They are a great snack on a hot summer day or any time.
Even though I'm a empty nester, just my 19yr old at home yet living her own life, I like watching videos like this' the healthy eating & canning- be good to know the approx cost & how many tomatoes made how much?:Glass is best maybe next time use canning jars to freeze . works great.good video🇨🇦😊
I have the best memories from seeded watermelons as a child. My dad would get one and sit on the ac unit outside. He’d slice it open and we’d sit there, eat it and spit the seeds out on the grass. I thought as a kid, if I sealed the seeds, I’d grow a watermelon in my belly. 😂
i just filmed a video of homemade marinara! Still in editing. I picked several types of heirloom tomatoes last week and I made two small batches. I make all my sauce in the Instant Pot these days. Takes 10 minutes on Manual. I love my baggy holder too. I just used mine a few minutes ago to hold my leftovers from tonight. i also save all my jars. My husband thinks i am nuts. I have all sizes. From small to really large. I’ve been making refrigerator pickles for many years. I only do cucumbers but make sure to use kirby pickling cukes as the others get too mushy. I will try it with carrots. When I was a kid, watermelon always had seeds. There was no such thing as seedless. I do prefer seedless these days but the seeds don’t bother me. We have two local farmers markets - one in White Township on Sundays 10-2 and in Washington on Saturdays with the same hours. There are maybe 6-10 farm or vending booths in each one. Not a lot but I always get really great produce. I bought really tiny carrots last week and I got gorgeous arugula!
I am Keto to the death (lost 54 lbs in the last 3.5 months and no longer pre-diabetic and blood pressure coming under control). I just got my dash waffle maker and have making different kind of chaffles but it is not an every day food. More like a Sunday treat. I keep my foods mostly clean, mean, and simple.
Hahahaha...I, too, am so annoyed with "chaffle." Love the hash brown idea. I can easily eat the same thing for lunch daily (I skip breakfast) but hate eating the same thing every day for dinner. Ugh. I feel your pain.
Oh man everything looked great! Adam in the intro hilarious! I'll take a drink Adam! I used to love having an avacado half with cottage cheese and almond sprinkles with salt and pepper for breakfast. I've been freezing my tomato sauce & salsas this summer too. Just didn't feel like canning.
I make marinara sauce too! I call it spaghetti sauce. When I heat my tomatoes, I don’t see the need to put an X in them (although it is recommended). The peels still just slip right off. Then I just put them in a sink full of very cold water. I’ve never used ice. (I’m lazy!) 😳That works great. I did put the cooked sauce in canning jars and processed them so they would last forever. I canned mine in 2016 and they are still just as delicious as the day I made them. Our fruit stand closes the first of November. It’s nice they stay open so long but they are 100 miles from my home. I have to plan ahead when I go. We usually go 3 or 4 times throughout the season. I have a box of tomatoes and a box of peaches to use right now. I’m going to make some homemade ice cream with fresh peaches for my husbands birthday next week. 😋😁 As far as the hash brown waffles go - I would just make them in my large waffle iron and get 4 at once. 👍 Thanks for bringing us along for your meal prep. I enjoy it so much! 💜 Have a good week Jen!
Chaffle is the most obnoxious word. That breakfast looks so good! I love cottage cheese! One of my fave foods. Thank you for the meal ideas! My boy started solids a couple months ago so I’m always looking for new recipes and ideas!
Hi Jen. Love your videos! I eat low carb but thought I was the only one who can’t stand to hear the word “Chaffle”! I was in Iowa a few weeks ago taking my son back to college so I gave you a wave as I passed a Hy-Vee - though I was in Clinton and not near where you live😉
I think you do a great job with music choice - I meal prep every Sunday, as well, and I often have your meal prep videos playing in the background because I like the music you play. Ironically, this just posted yesterday and before I watched it I was already planning to make quinoa for this week's work lunches (I'm one of those weirdos who can eat the same thing every day for lunch). Thanks for keeping the great content coming!
I'm gonna try the marinara sauce! I'm cooking chicken parmesan tomorrow too. I love your videos. Your voice is calming and relaxing to me lol I always watch your videos when kids go to bed
Jen you hit it out of the park again, thanks! Yes to the canning video and some more "cooking it in the club" ones , HA!! I've canned pickles but never made refrigerator ones, thanks for the recipe. Blessings ~Sidney
Hi Jen! I would enjoy seeing canning video! Also, I love beets but my hubs, who eats almost anything, refuses to eat beets. He says they taste like dirt!!! You are not alone!!
You asked about the music in the video and so gave me an opportunity to mention my pet peeve. This is by no means directed only to you or any specific YT creator, but rather it seems to be an issue on all. And, I think that I am more sensitive to it than most. The issue I have is not with any particular music, but with the volume. It always seems that the music volume is louder than the voice volume. I watch a lot of YT sitting outside and enjoying nature. Out of respect for my neighbors, I try to keep the volume just loud enough for me to hear, but hopefully not loud enough to intrude on their peaceful enjoyment of nature. So, I am always constantly having to adjust the volume when videos switch between voice and music because the music is louder. I would prefer no music for that reason. But, again, for anyone watching inside it probably isn't too noticeable. Finally, I want to say that I greatly appreciate your effort, and all YT creators' efforts, and only mention this to be constructive and not negative. Thank you for giving me the opportunity. 🙂
My coworkers always ask me how I eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch everyday, but I am so chill about food, it does not bother me. I just do not care, I get my food for the week done Sunday afternoon and it just makes my week a no brainer. A lot of people cannot eat the same thing and I get it, I am just not that organized to make several different meals.
💯 on beets tasting like dirt. I grow them every year and want to like them but just can’t do it. I love canning, so that’s a yes for me! I just got home from Vegas and totally thought “this music is making me feel like I’m back in Vegas at the clubs” 😂
I would love to see a canning video 💕
These videos have a lot of work put into them. I really enjoy watching them!
Paula Dobson thank you so much!!!
“We’re gonna call this video ‘cooking in the club’” 😂
You are amazing , what a wonderful homemaker you are , I know your family must feel very lucky to have you in their lives !
I loved Adam’s commentary. “I’m the family mixologist.” 💜
Those purple carrot recipes look Amazing! I’m going to try to recreate them. 🥕 thanks for the vid!
I’ve not been able to sleep tonight so I am binge watching Jen! This meal prep video is one of my favorites. Your hubby is like mine! Cute and cheeky comments in the kitchen about how badass he is. HAHAHA. Love it!
Yes, Please ... I would love to learn to can my vegetables :) !!!!! :Love the quick pickle process. Thanks Jen!
For kiwi 🥝. Wash whole fruit. Slice as you would a carrot then peel individual slices. Hardly no waste and peel comes off so easily. Really enjoy you’re meal prep videos!
Yes! Please, for the canning video! I love your videos! 🙂🙂
Your videos are always so satisfying to watch!
I recommend to roast beets in the oven. With olive oil, salt, pepper and after finishing sprinkle some balsamic cream over them. It’s so delicious!🥰
Yes! Canning video would be awesome!
Yes a video on canning would be good!

I know this video is from a year ago but I like to go back and rewatch them. Seedless watermelon were not available til sometime in the 90s.
If you scrape out what remains in the rind you can put it through a mesh strainer and use the juice in margaritas.
Happy to hear your husbands voice joyfully mixing drinks .... Cheers!
Lol!!
At the club... loving it. Let's can away!
Everything looks soooo delish Jen! I'm gonna be making the black bean bowls & Cheesecake brownies real soon!
Thank you I really enjoyed your video ! Yummy! Thanks for all the tips

I love cottage cheese for lunch with sides black beans and chicken breast; sprinkle all with Tony’s seasonings.
Love the music...you have great videos!! Thanks for sharing all the prep ideas.
I would love a video on canning! You are so right...beets taste just like dirt. People keep telling me how sweet they are, but not to me.
My coworkers always ask me how I eat the same thing for breakfast and lunch everyday, but I am so chill about food, it does not bother me. I just do not care, I get my food for the week done Sunday afternoon and it just makes my week a no brainer. Black bean bowl looks amazing!
Omg please do more canning! 🤗
Love your videos❤️
