The other point is if the grease gun has not been used for a while it may deprime itself.
I pulled the plunger back to lock position then unscrewed the canister, then let the plunger go until it pushed the grease to them rim of the grease cartridge. Then screwed the canister back on then it worked like a new one.

I know this video is a few years old but judging from the dry grease in the head, it looks like all the oil has separated from the grease and dripped out of the bottom of your gun over time. What’s left in the tube is no longer grease but just solids, that’s why it wouldn’t pump through the gun. Start with a fresh tube and store the gun in a position to prevent the oils from draining out of the gun when it’s not in use.

You need to take the hose off the head and try it if that doesn’t work you will need to take the head apart and clean it because if it has been sitting for a while it will get stuck

ive had problems with more than one gun, getting it primed, i came up with a couple tricks that really didnt help much, what i saw in your video and a couple others was filling the head with grease buy hand [ fingers ] that seams to be the magic, ill be trying that next time...
