absolute legends. I'd say that for me, King Diamond/Mercyful Fate is up there with Celtic Frost as my fave '80s metal. So influential, and King is a hell of a nice guy.
I finally got to see them last year. They played this. When it gets to that slow, heavy part not just hearing but feeling those notes rattling my bones was practically a religious experience. I felt pure joy and total bliss not wishing to be anywhere else on Earth for any reason in those moments.
Cool reaction, this is one of my favorite Metal albums of all time, great skills from everyone there & super solid compositions imho, you now need to listen to the whole album...Cheers from France 🤘
A Dangerous Meeting was originally called Death Kiss on the demo. If you like the guitar sound of Hank Shermann and Michael Denner you should check out some of their other projects. Force Of Evil - Back To Hell and Denner/Shermann - Satan's Tomb and Son Of Satan. Force Of Evil had bass player Hal Patino who used to play with both Mercyful Fate and King Diamond and drummer Bjarne T. Holm who also are in Mercyful Fate. Denner/Shermann had Snowy Shaw ex-King Diamond on drums. Also check out Mercyful Fate - The Uninvited Guest
I'm 11 years old sitting in my room, my mom is banging on the door, "Turn that devil music off" Can you imagine today, 11-year-olds are listening to Taylor Swift LOL!!
This is the song and album that made me a metal head. Still an absolute classic. I can remember the first time I heard it perfectly, where I was, what I was wearing, doing, like it was yesterday, 19 years ago, I was 14, and it changed my world. This album, this song in particular made me who I am.
Def E standard. Man I love this song and Mercyful Fate/King Diamond so much!! Great video, I love to see people younger than me enjoying this eternal classic metal 🤘🎸
King Diamond's style is not pretty... but it's... HAUNTING. It's like a little unsettling, can´t explain, but it fits so well the songs from Mercyful Fate. It's like a wailing spirit or something. Love it.
Little known fact When Mercyful Fate completed recording this album they loaned their gear to a young up and coming band to record their second album. The album was Ride the Lightning, and the band was Metallica. Their gear had been stolen at the end of the Kill’em All For One tour
Oh my youngsters. Just wait till you get into King's solo stuff. It's like Merciful Fate polished to a mirror finish. BTW, your friend isn't driving a Mustang. He's in a 78 Cadillac Hearse.
Most metal bands back then used E Minor key because of the heaviness. In Major E metal would've sounded like pop punk and that's just something that I'm glad never happened.
la musica lo esta poseyendo y la letra lo hipnotizo .....pobre hombre debio saber a lo q se metia very soon will lost his weigth soon will lost his mind

Death Kiss had completely different lyrics
Classic guitar duo. They had great chemistry and a unique tone in their style.
Love King hes INCREDIBLE
MF is pure occult. At least the two first albums.

Wow, I’ve been there. I saw them on the Abigail tour with trouble as the opening act. I was against the front rail 3 feet away from the bone cross.
Maybe the best show of my life at the Manatee County Civic Center in Florida on the West Coast
Give them hell

Never heard the phrase “that’s dope” used to describe King Diamond / Merciful Fate LOL
I was a metalhead back in the 80's a good buddy turned me on to King Diamond Mercyful fate and I became completely metal.
great album,i still have the cassette,🤘🤘🤘
you two might be too pure and wholesome to listen to Fate.
King Diomond was the opening act when I watched Metallica Master of Puppets just when Burton had died here in Sweden. It was great!
Loved Loved Loved this Album back in the 90's. Played the living shit out of it. Nice video guys.
My favorite MF song
Hank Shermann is the man behind all this imsanely awesome guitar work. He (and the band) are just on another level.
More King please! Can't go wrong with anything live!🤘
Awesome and timeless gen X approved

My #1 favorite album of all time. Timeless masterpiece \m/
I have 3 #1 favorite albums, 1st 2 Mercyful Fate albums and Bonded by Blood by Exodus!
King Diamond is my GOAT.
Back in the days where the word heavy always preceded the word metal - for good reason.
This song is awesome
Michael Denner and Hank Sherman greatest metal guitarists 🔥🔥
'91 mustang to play the '84 song!
:)
He just announced a North American tour🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤓
Sounds great on original pressed vinyl.

E(vil) standard to the core🤘🤘🤘
Went through all 80s, 90s, 2000s, etc. metal scene, if I were allowed to go to hell and bring ONE album it would be "Don't Break The Oath".
Melissa for me …

Thanks man! I think that is the consensus of the tuning and key. Before double drop C was a thing lol
@@TheWolfHunterZ btw, I really love your channel and your music! You guys rock! Love- An old metal head
Hopefully we got some youngins to spread knowledge of King!
This is tuned a half step above standard
🤘🤘🤘
Of course it's old school it's from 1984. Was my favorite album in 1984.
Metallica covered quite a few of their songs, and regulary brings him out to sing when they play them live.
droped d tune
la musica lo esta poseyendo y la letra lo hipnotizo .....pobre hombre debio saber a lo q se metia very soon will lost his weigth soon will lost his mind
