If I may, I’d like to give you the heads up on your lights in with the goats. I’ve had goats pull down the cords and chew on them. Maybe attach the cords to the ceiling.

So sorry for your loss. I just lost my Buff Brahma hen, Luna Lou a couple of days ago. They always remain in our hearts. I hate losing animals but at least they had a great life while they were here.
So sorry to hear about your bunny! We actually lost our two young bunny bucks a week ago to some loose neighborhood dogs. It's never easy.

Oh my. I’m so sorry!!! I breed to show bunnies. English lops. Was just at PaSRBA convention successfully. I’m from Canada. Anyways my star was at home with a litter of babies when I was away. If anything happened to her I would be heartbroken. My heart goes out to you greatly. They steal your heart those buns. It is a sad situation. I feel bad for your loss. 🙏
So sorry about your bunny ! I have had rabbits and had a couple things happen that we're preventable had I known...lost one bunny because it ate too much cabbage...I learned don't give cabbage . The second thing I lost one to was it was in it's cage eating grass on the ground and I was in the garden on the other side of the yard my dog went over to the cage and started barking right beside the cage I ran over to stop her and the bunny was laying flat...yes it had a Bad fright and had a heart attack. Learned not to put them in the sun either even with a house it can get too hot and Bam!! So those are my experiences and things happen that we sometimes can't help
I sure learned a lot though. Love your lights in the goat barn so pretty 💜😍😊

Sorry for your loss ! know what you mean about kind of getting used to loss on homestead / farm life. The first time we lost a chicken I ugly cried for just days. And now we have around 50 chickens and 5 alpacas and then a few inside pets and, the loss of a chicken is sad but no longer like, TRAGIC.

I'm so sorry for your loss guys it's really not easy losing an animal on the homestead I totally can relate. My dad also raise rabbits. But moving forward is the best thing to do I felt really sad when I lost one of my piglets. Oh congrats on the baby chicks so adorable 😊

I’m so sorry about your bunny...my daughter kept rabbits for a time and we suffered some losses as well...it’s harder for pets, but inevitable in the end. That’s still the biggest birthing box I’ve ever seen!🥰
I just lost a silkie hen I have had for years. I went out to feed the chickens and found her dead. She was in with an injured hen as a companion and she was just laying there dead. It hurts but it is part of farm life. I understand! Jen, you will love those Blue Bells, they grow up looking beautiful! Some of mine have muffs but the hens are simply beautiful colors. I got 2 yellow like yours that grew up white, I ended up with a surprise rooster and he is gorgeous!

Oh no! 😢 I'm so sorry. Loss is such a hard thing but it's great that you've raised your kids to understand it happens. Hopefully you have some babies in a month! We had some babies 2 weeks ago and are planning for some more in about a week. Baby chicks! Super cute! Great tip on keeping them separate

I just ordered some Prairie Bluebell eggers from Hoovers! Can't wait to get them. It will be fun to watch yours grow. Mine don't arrive until Valentines day. I'm sorry to hear about your mama bunny. We got two rabbits a couple years ago. The people we got them from didn't know the sex. Needless to say, now we have 7 rabbits. All the males have been neutered. :) We don't need anymore rabbits because we also don't use them for meat.
I loved when VW Family Farm said you need Grace and Grit for homesteading. So true! Grace to love your animals and Grit to do what you have to when the time comes.

It is sad when you loose a pet. Just this weekend my daughter and her children lost their 9 month old juliana pig. Hope was given to Savannah and her girls because the breeders vet had recommend that she be put down . Hope was blind and so very tiny but we loved her so much. Savannah called me and told me that she was having seizures which she had done so before and that she was taking her to the vet on Monday., but shortly she called and said that she had passed. I could hear the girls crying. My husband and I went over and in the middle of the night we took Hope to a friends house and buried her so the grandbabies would not have to deal with it. I wish they understood like your young ones but Hope lived inside with them and Jade the oldest spoon fed her so she was like a baby to them. Sorry that you lost your Mother rabbit and babies.

Hoover Hatchery is here, in Iowa, and all of my girls...and my roo, lol...have come from them. They and Murray McMurray Hatchery are within a couple of hours of me! Both great hatcheries! I have a Prairie Bluebell Egger and love her!! Blessings to you and your family and your Homestead!!
Sorry to see this sad update. You can feel good knowing you did everything you could have done to prevent it, and that she was well taken care of during her time on earth.

We had a scary moment with one of our rabbits this past weekend. It ended well and she's fine, but it's hard to see them suffer. Sorry for your loss...and congratulations on your growth.

Aw I'm sorry! We had triplet goats once. One was smaller and boy we nursed her for about 10 days to 2 weeks and came out on morning and she had died. It is hard. Part of the life cycle. Still difficult and hurts. Aw they are so cute!!
I normally order many breeds of chicks at one time. I separate them by color, it works out for me.

So sorry for your loss. This is the first video of yours I've even seen, which is just heartbreaking. I had to deliver a breech kitten once for a first-time mom, just eternally grateful that I was right there - the cat was in the house - and realized the problem. My goats and milk cow NEVER give birth with me there, it drives me nuts just because of the possibility of problems. God be with you.

Y'all it happens, I have had rabbits a long ol' time and sometimes that just happens. Rabbits are fantastic creatures but theres not a heck of a lot you can do once those problems present themselves. Being a high stress creature if she even made it to the vet she could have just as easily passed from the added stress. I can count in one hand in 30+ years how many I've even able save save in a labor problem.

So sorry about your bunnies. It is hard sometimes. My fifteen year old bulldog Pie had a small stroke Sunday, it caused some balance issues but she isn’t in any distress or pain. I am thankful for that. She’s already showing improvement so we are hopeful. As always you guys are in my prayers. If you have a minute please throw up a quick prayer for my Pie. Look up vestibular disease in dogs. Signs are a lot like a stroke. They do recover slowly. Saying prayers for Pie.

I have witnessed a momma goat trying to birth a breach baby and it’s horrible, fortunately everything FINALLY was worked out safely.. sorry for your pet bunny.
