Just got myself a Arden blue astra and got to sorting the interior out to how I wanted it, literally just got some carbon fibre wrap d2livered for the 4 gloss silver trim, new head unit with 7" screen and just finished my led conversion and looks a hell of a lot better than the standard orange and the dials look awesome. Next step the outside needs a clean up here and there then of to the detailers then start looking at tuning etc.
Led conversion is a must in the vxr. It was not the easiest thing to do but was the biggest improvement over the old fashioned orange look, I have blue leds with blue dails and blue gauges in the heater console. To anyone taking off the diffuser to spray or screw the fins on the best way I found was to put your hand behind the bumper and press down on the clips while your carefully pulling the diffuser out bit by bit and take your time cause once they snap there's no going back 😡
@@darrenmicklewright2008 I done a diagram on the arden army club on Facebook on best way yo take rear bumper diffuser of. Start from centre and work your way out, I done my blue lights myself couple years back and they've been spot on since. Much better than standard. The fins I bought from ebay and the blue car that there advertised on is actually my car. I was on lock down so I took some pics and designed the diagram of fitment to help the guy out as the original were hand drawn
@@tilly0191 fair play! Iv not long finished my led conversion and ye it's defo time consuming, I did a few hours each day for about 4-5 days and got there in the end. Iv put a spliter on the front and have got the rear fins to put on in the next few days so il check your post first👍
@@darrenmicklewright2008 it's a old post, I stopped using Facebook a while ago so ya might not find it unless you were to scroll down for a long time lol. As long as you undo screws behind reg plate and grommet clips underneath ehere exhaust is and on either ends of bumper and then pull out starting from middle and working your way out left to right or vise verser you'll be fine. Get your hand in behind and push out as your pulling with your other hand. The smd conversion took me all in all a few days, its the trim removal that takes the time 😀 trying not to scuff things up, I originally bought a 7 inch screen but never quite got it to work properly so I put original back in.
You got a video on how to put the rear diffuser bk on ther must be right way . Eva starting on the right side or middle . I just carnt put this thing bk in to how it was
Hayden loving your videos man. As you have said previously if you do not attempt these things yourself then you do not learn. Just an idea, when the front grille goes back on to make it look really smart I would replace them rusty screws with some stainless steel screws and washers. Make it look banging I think. Keep up the mods man.
