Winter is tough my man, but like you said you fishing not catching that’s so true, a bad day on the waters beat any day of work, however you keep your head on a swivel and don’t let them skunks bring you down better days will come tight lines.
Just ran across you videos. Really enjoy them. I'm in oyster creek, getting back into fishing again. I got a cheap kayak to try out to see if I like it. Normally I'm bank or boat. It's nice to see someone from this area fishing on youtube. Tight lines, maybe we'll see each other on the water.
Thanks for checking out the channel. Oyster Creek is a great spot to live for a fisherman, you're right there on the water! I've been out of the marsh for a while due to the north winds, but I wouldn't be surprised if we bump into each other out there. Freeport is like my second home.
I went Monday 5 mph winds... caught a 21 in Red and a 27 in Red on a yozuri suspending bait... by the boat launch heading out caught a 23 in beautiful trout with a soft plastic. Took a picture and let her swim away. Kept the 2 reds. Over by the moody gardens golf course spot
That’s nice! Monday I was out in the surfside area and we sadly found a ton of dead reds due to the low water/cold. I’ll have a video out on it soon! Thankfully I caught some fish Tuesday/ Wednesday so these next few vids will have some action!
Went to TCD today after the front moved thru, the water 54° the water was clean there but nothing all day and none of the Experience TCD peeps was catching anything. Hang tuff its going to turn on.
Yes I keep track of the water temp, and not necessarily as far as the trout question goes. The fish feed everyday, but with certain conditions it forces them to different spots in order. That spot is one with deep water where you can usually find trout when they’re trying to stay warm, just wasn’t our day.
Just a buzz word for the title, but truth be told it’s hard not to have disdain for this weather that keeps you off the water for weeks at a time. Tight Lines.
This is why I love the thumb nail !
Good stuff. January is only 1 month in the winter. It is the toughest month, but Oct-March is the magical, bug fish time on the Tx Gulf Coast.
Man January is for sure the toughest. Every year I have trouble. Thank God it’s February now 😂

Yessir! I’m just glad we had a full week of good weather!! Got some catches to show off here in these next few vids! Tight Lines.

@@RGCfishingg OH yeah no doubt about that.

The nice thing about weather is
Eventually it will change….
Eventually 😂😂 We had a solid week of reprieve from the weather, but man I was getting cabin fever last month!
I went Tuesday caught about5 small trout in Palacios tx, just nice to fish
Yea man, With all the crap weather it’s nice just to get out there!
The trout limit is changing in the spring after all, new limits will probably start in April
Rip! These freezes taking a toll on the fish.

That’s a shame, dike has been good for at least 1 drum these last couple trips. I guess the rain messed the mojo up.
@RGCfishingg Dig your channel lots of great insight RCG fishing keeping it real Love it bro!!
Do you keep track of the water temp? Have you found a minimum temp that trout stop biting? Thank you!
