- I wanted to make a plug run on this day but was unable to find anyone on short notice to fish with me so I floated and looked for fish and threw spinners and plugs at them. I had 5 bites on this day but this was the first and the most fun. My Douglas XMATRIX Rod threw the spinners and fought the fish like a dream. Can’t say enough about these rods no matter what I do with them they perform flawlessly.

One thing I've never done is fish for salmon.
Just spent the whole weekend fishing. Hooked up over a hundred fish. It's the best fishing it has been for a few years. Caught my first coho also. I think salmon are about done but the steel head are just behind them

@@TheAwakeningAngler I wouldn’t say that, any opportunity to get out on the water is an opportunity worth taking. But seriously if you ever lack for company, I’m always happy to go fishing and even more so if it provides a chance to learn more about a body of water. Fishing from a Kayak on Oneida has left me with a lot of the lake unexplored.
Wish I lived closer. I'd go with you anytime you asked.. ???

How late can you fish before the run ends?
you will have salmon around for the rest of this month and into early November
Read the rules and regulations. the run can start or stop at anytime mother nature controls that.
