Something cool I noticed recently; you play as the Fans in order of how sympathetic they are You start out with Mark, who is the most laid-back Fan who often goes out and gets the team pizza Then there's Corey, who is quiet and reluctant but still has a somewhat cold element to her Then Tony, who explicitly states that he only wants to get into action and fights Finally there's Alex/Ash, who are clearly just evil sadists who want to cause as much carnage as possible
Also the way the son encounters them on the pills... Mark is just a bear in comparison with the two headed swan monster that was Alex and ash, but others have said the son saw them like this due to the ever increasing intensity of the trip. Could be both but I love how it's all connected.
Tony could probably just punch a hole into the glass, and because of the absolute sheer power of the punch, not set off any alarms. Edit: I JUST REALIZED WHAT THE END OF THE LEVEL MEANT..
When i beated this on normal, i was sad that Manny killed Tony in cold blood. But now, after 2 hours of torture, i beated it on hard mode, now im happy that the fans died
Same bro, I legit bought HM1 and 2 today, and I'm jus blitzing through, and before I realized it, I got to this mission, and holy FXCK, I synced it to the song playing. Best feeling I've ever had in a while. ❤
I don't normally like hard games (thanks carpal tunnel and getting old), but both Hotline games are an exception. I spent hours on end going through each level, carefully picking my way through. Glad I did, because they're two of the best games with some of the best music there ever was.
oh jesus that last part at mark's stage is so bullshit, they just threw a random melee mobster to ruin your combo if you tried to run down the corridor while shooting at your sides
It feels like something is off about this video and my play through of this level. In the video the enemies don’t immediately fire with perfect accuracy the second I’m in firing range, but on my attempt the second I enter line of sight the trigger gets pulled. Idk the game wants to promote aggression but then actively punishes it
Wait...in deathwish Son has a magnum when he kills them...but there is no Magnum in apocalypse, did Alex and Ash actually die or did they push son off the roof?
In the final leven the son had enough drugs in his blood to make an elephant kill a dinosaur and commit suicide so i assume he's just seeing an axe on his hands

especially the last part. never liked playing Alex&Ash. Alex path finds like an rpg companion, but it's a twitch-reflex precision top down shooter.

Once you play the level Apocalypse, the ending of this level means something different
