Fr Kerry at OSU is an outstanding priest. St. John’s church is so amazing. I am fortunate my son attends there. It has been an absolute joy to celebrate Mass there. The students are so faithful and reverent there. It is absolutely an amazing place for Catholic students at OSU.
Agreed, except that the pace of transitions is way too fast for me. I had to pause and rewind often to take it all in. I know that you are following the TikTok crazy fast model, but it does not work here in YT-land. Please. Just. Slow. Down.
I am an OSU student, and I love our new student center. The church is beautiful and the space study spaces are large and still able to foster community. It's like a second home and so nice that it is right next to campus! Fr. Kerry is an amazing priest who loves the lord and serves his students well.
Fr Kerry led me through RCIA and I got confirmed! He also introduced me to a girl in the Hofftorium I will definitely marry and I want it to be in that church.
I like to say to older Catholics that the church is being rejuvenated and this video is confirmation of that. Many get the deer in the headlights look. Eucharistic Adoration! I have a close relationship with Ave Maria University where authentic Catholic Joy spills out of everyone.
Yall have got to do the OG, first-ever Newman Center, St. Paul’s Catholic Student Center at UW-Madison! I don’t know all the history, but its 2016 remodel looks very similar to USO’s new one and Duluth’s planned one - it might be the inspiration for both.
My favorite of these presented is the Frassati House with its humble nature. Sometimes God gets lost in the richness of perfectly painted walls and expensive furnishings.
Great video! We are so grateful to the benefactors of the OSU student center, as our daughter is a freshman this year and it serves as a second home for her. She can seamlessly move between studying, sharing a meal, and going to Mass or Bible study - daily. Such a blessing and reminds her that she belongs to a greater faith family. Of course having a pastor like Fr. Kerry who is so generous with his time, enthusiasm, humor, and investment in the spiritual well-being of the students… Truly priceless! FOCUS missionaries continuously lay out the welcome mat, and our bishop is extremely supportive as well! So very grateful. We also had amazing experiences at St Mary’s in College Station… that would also be a great campus to profile. Love seeing these vibrant Catholic campuses!
Wow! I find these small and humble gathering spaces so much more conducive to authentic spirituality than the grand centers which, though beautiful, mean a reliance on money and creature comfort and external beauty to gather as Church. And that's simply not how Church community should be formed. I think our young people especially have the right idea - Humble, simple, within your means, reliant on God to provide. The radiant joy and pride of those young adults showing you what they created from the fruits of their own hands, rather than the fruits of the wealthy, is quite beautiful.
Great video to watch. Many familiar faces and places - Colorado School of Mines (Frassati House) priest Fr. Ryan Mack (just ordained with my son), Fr. Kerry at OSU attended seminary here in Denver, and two of my children are Benedictine College grads. This video highlighted some amazing Catholic college programs/centers. Amazing evangelization happening around the country at these and other vibrant campuses. Praise the Lord.
Top notch video! Favorite Catholic center is the Falcons-Arena House (The FAH) at Duke (I’m biased) and we just got FOCUS missionaries this academic year 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I wish we had a chapel in our dorm. Thanks for this awesome video! If you’re gonna make more like this, maybe include the Catholic Center at Rutgers University in NJ.
I'm impressed! I've been a FOCUS missionary sponsor in Colorado for about nine years so far. Would love to work for Focus at their Genesee, CO HQ. Come visit Shrine of St Anne in Arvada, CO. The K of C Council here would welcome a presentation of your work.
Naval Academy doesn’t even need a student center 😤 We do have 2 Blessed Sacrament chapels, 1 inside the midshipman dorm, the largest in the country, maybe world?
Can’t help but wonder how Jesus would feel about all of this while so many face homelessness and hunger, not just in the US but in countries where the Catholic church has so much influence…cough…Philippines (where you can see literally homeless toddlers begging for money in Manila). Brothers and Sisters, this is why we are loosing so many.
Well you have these young adults praising God which is one of the commandments. (Love God and love your neighbor). “Leave her alone. It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial. You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.” Jesus message is a message of love, not a message of complaining or judging others because they aren’t doing enough. If you have opportunities to feed and teach the word to these poor families then that is wonderful. These young adults are planting seeds that may return 100 fold.
I have been a devout Roman Catholic since 1961, but I renounced my Roman Catholic faith in 2022. I read a book entitled "Altar of Secrets: Sex, Politics, and Money in the Philippine Catholic Church" by Aries C. Rufo that impacted me deeply. I am now a happy "born from above" Christian. Furthermore, the Roman Catholic church grossly, falsely, and deceitfully misinterpreted John 6:53. Let me qualify my word "deceitfully" it means total dependency on Roman Catholic priests who claimed that they are "alter Christus" or other Christ and that they alone possessed the "alleged power" to miraculously and substantially transformed ordinary bread into the actual body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ necessary for human salvation. Not even the holy angels can perform this self-claimed supernatural feat of theirs. It is these false ideas of transubstantiation of the eucharist (the summit of Roman Catholic sacramental life) and the supremacy of their priests over the Bible that Roman Catholic faithful are enslaved or imprisoned to the whims and caprices of unholy Roman Catholic priests that further perpetuated the latter pursuit of earthly powers for selfish ends. Most of the biblical citations of their catechism are grossly misinterpreted for their own interest. The biblical Jews (through the Septuagint - Greek version of the Bible) gave humanity the Bible not the Roman Catholic Church who acted as copycat. On the contrary, I firmly believed that the Lord's Supper is a memorial service (Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:24 ) in remembrance of Jesus' passion and death on the cross Period
It’s not “Roman Catholics” that teach that. It’s all traditional Christianity, including eastern orthodox, and Coptic. It wasn’t until a bunch of Germans came out 500 years ago and decided to change it because they worshipped science instead of God.
Our Catholic Center in Kennesaw GA is a house. Shout out to @CatholicOwls. #HOOTYHOO Father Bob Frederick is our Chaplain. He is a priest of the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
Would be super cool to make this a series and see a bunch the Catholic centers across the country!
I’d like to see more 💛
I love how humble Father Mike's college Parish is.

Indeed! We love to host folks. Come see and pray with us anytime.
Well, I may be a little bit biased but St. Mary's at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas is pretty dang awesome...

Omg I’ve met Father Kerry at a restaurant during SEEK in 2019. Amazing to see that they got a newer Newman center!
About time ya'll started making content!
Fr. Kerry's personality is as big as Benedictine College
