Re the bones that went to London.
Did they end up in the British Museum? as much of the collection was evacuated before the blitz.
It could be possible some survived and have been misplaced/misfiled like so many other items have been.

I think the biggest clue here is that this body was cut into pieces then put back together. The myth of Osiris says that is what happened to him. I definitely think you are on to something here.

In Petrie's original account he even says this
'A noticeable feature was that the penis had been cut off and bandaged separately "
Osiris's penis being cut off is also an important feature of that myth.

It might have even been a fake penis made from plant matter. Petrie noted that the canopic viscera found in Mastaba were actually vegetable constructs designed to resemble organs so perhaps the penis was also a construct. There is no record of testing done on it before it was 'lost' so we may never know.

Some of this had a very non-Egyptian vibe to it, and I am reminded that I read somewhere long ago that Ausar and Auset (Osiris and Isis are the Greek versions) may not be entirely Egyptian names.
The fake eyeballs remind me of the plastered skulls found in PPNB sites across the Levant, most famously at Jericho. With this in mind, the presence of a possible vulture skull becomes particularly significant because Andjety was known as the 'Bull of Vultures'. This is significant because Catal Huyuk pre-dates Dynastic Egypt by several thousand years, and it is filled with representations of headless corpses undergoing excarnation by vulture on the walls of structures decorated with both real and sculpted bull skulls, as well as the occasional picture of a man with an erection.
Removing the head, before giving the body to vultures, ensures that it remains somewhat intact for later reconstruction. Now that I think about it, Osiris is never depicted as fully mummified -
only his lower body is mummified while his face is always there... and it's decidedly green.
All of the pieces seem to be there connecting Osiris-Andjety with Pre-Pottery Neolithic practices in the Levant thousands of years before anyone thought to unify Egypt... and that's not even taking the spread of agriculture into account (Osiris is not just associated with mummification but also with fertile fields and sprouting crops).

    I am thinking the summary
    1. Maybe Andjety was a real historical figure of a local ruler with some knowledge of irrigation, probably learnt from Mesopotamian, which is why he was able to drained the delta marshes and converting it to arable fields.
    2. Due to his merit or abilities of draining the marshes, Andjety was apotheosized or deified as national-patron god of his state after his death.
    3. Unfortunately, his city-state in Lower Egypt occupied by Upper Egypt force who considered Osiris as their patron god. As the result of being the ruled one, the importance of Andjety degenerated to local small god and being forgotten during the river of history.
Do u think this Andjety learnt the irrigation knowledge from Mesopotamians or assisted by irrigation experts from Mesopotamia?

Brilliant detective work here. I have a thought on the multiple pyramids by one Pharoh thesis. Perhaps he started his tomb elsewhere (Bent Pyramid?), then stumbled upon this Mastaba. Upon realizing who was buried there, Sneferu decided to build a new burial place for himself near this tomb of Osiris. Of course this supposes the Meidum Pyramid was for burial.

I don't buy that they were destroyed in the blitz. It is well documented that the British museum moved all of their collection deep underground before the bombing started so if it was moved there then it would be safe from bombings. The source under this video isn't clear where about in London it was moved to but since it was discovered by Petrie it was probably in his collection, which was also moved out of london....... So unless it was carelessly left behind (seems unlikely) or it was sold into a private collection (not really Petrie's style) I should think that it may still be in existence somewhere.

Matt, instead of saying "I believe that," you could lead with "the details seen on the ground indicate that." A hypothesis is not a belief, it is at best a proposal supported by facts and at its worse an assumption that can be believed by someone and unfortunatley by those who believe in the person expounding that assumption, and we all know where assumptions lead when what what the human brain can assume makes an ass out of you and me.
Your work is great and you do list many facts that can cause people to question the status quo assumptionsand the beliefs that they have led to, but please make it clear to your listeners that they can make up their own minds and form their own hypothesis based on the facts you have presented and linked togather to form your hypothesis.
Beliefs are the problem factor that has led to the current status quo's position in the comfort of its established society, and when assumptions are piled on top of assumptions, we end up with a pile of assholes who try to defend their position in the pile and continue to regurgitate a load of crap.
Keep up the good work Matt, and remember that the secret to an open mind is the ability to question current beliefs based on the basic facts that have been generally distorted, misinterpreted, mistranslated and misrepresented to keep a load of assholes safe and regularly employed in promoting constipation as an assumed benefit for their own and other human minds.

Isis wasn't gathered together for burial, he was gathered together for resurrection. After resurrection he was called Osiris. The wife couldn't find his penis, so she made him a gold penis before she resurrected him. If the grave robbers hadn't stolen all the gold, we would know if it was him or not because he would or wouldn't have a gold penis.
However Osiris was considered immortal, so it would be odd if his grave was right there. I don't think many Egyptians would believe Osiris was immortal if they could visit his tomb.

Your connecting of mastaba 17 with Osiris is good reasoning. But do we have proof Osiris was just a mythical figure? The legend of Osiris has him killed by Set, and his body parts strewn over Egypt and collected together by Isis who then 'resuscitates' him. The curious fact that the mummy was made of body parts carefully bound and joined together to simulate a human shape would suggest perhaps it was Osiris - and the 'legend' was based on truth. Why otherwise would the body be preserved in such a manner? I don't completely buy the story of the remains being 'lost in the blitz.' The British museum moved the most of their stuff out to secure storage places during the war. I do not think they would have lightly discarded ancient bones that might have been damaged when the building was hit by incendiaries. Suppose the remnants, if there are any, are hidden away in a box somewhere in a store room? Wouldn't that be a find!!

If the drawing at 7.20 is correct, then it seems to me that the unusual dimensions of the internal box? are worth investigating, as well as who was placed within it. Given the precision with which the stone was cut, and if this is truly one of if not the oldest box of this kind, then the sheer size and scale of the walls of the box, the ill-fitting lid, and the strange angle end and cut out section at the other end has to relate to something worth exploring. Are there any other photographs or drawings that confirm these dimensions, and has any work been done on this cut out shape to explore it further? If we don't have the contents, then we still have the box, and where the box appears to be this unusual, and if the scheme at 7.20 is correct, then it has to follow a pattern that was related to something, and perhaps a something of great importance given the efforts made to construct the inner box in this way.

Although not being a learned professional in the subject, I believe that the dating of per-dynastic Egypt leaves much to be desired. History in general when it comes to pre-writing is, in my opinion, much foreshortened. From before the Younger Dryas to the written history is much richer and much more developed than we know. The cataclysms of the Younger Dryas and the following centuries, erased a great deal of very important history we may never be able to recover.

The flooded structure called the Oserion doesn't have to be a tomb, I mean until we get the water out if we ever do we're not really going to know. I've heard some people speculate it might actually be a cistern. We don't have any reason to believe that it's a tomb.

Based on the mummies reported physical remains curly hair etc could the possible location of the land of punt aka home of their gods in Ethiopia further back the hypothesis that this was a tomb for one of their "gods", which would of probably just been one of the earliest and most influential rulers. The nile does run directly to this location so the connection would be plausible.

I don't think any of the megalithic constructions were tombs. Functional is how they appear to me, but I suspect that later (probably much later) civilisations inherited them and used them as tombs for themselves.

Maybe when these "sarcophagi" were in use they created vibrations to create some form of power which over time turned the stone into those "chips". Maybe the newer power stations were renovated to contain the vibration which created heat which required water-cooling as they became more powerful.

You say that the skull was sent away and was damaged but there where other bone fragments? I wonder if they are still in Egypt in some museum archive somewhere. What about the staffs? Are they still there? They are most likely wood and you could date that fairly accurately. Secondly, can 3D modelling recreate that skull? The photos look actually quite detailed and accurate (I am certain there are probably some with measurements as well), you could do that forensic reconstruction if you had enough details - it looks plausible but that's not my field of expertise.

I read this in the legends of the Old Testament... it’s long but interesting:
Therefore the reigning Pharaoh and his council assembled to consult what should be done; and this was decided:-"The cities Pithom and Rameses (Tanis and Heliopolis) are not strong enough to withstand a foe, therefore they must be strengthened." And a royal decree went forth over all the land of Egypt and Goshen, commanding all the inhabitants, both Egyptians and Hebrews, to build. Pharaoh himself set the example by taking trowel and basket in hand, and putting a brick mould on his neck. Whoever saw this hastened to do likewise, and all who were reluctant were stimulated by the overseers with these words, "See how the king works. Will you not imitate his activity?"
When Pithom and Rameses were walled, the Israelites were employed to strengthen with forts all the other cities of Egypt, then to build storehouses and pyramids, to dig canals for the Nile, and to rear dykes against the overflow. They were also employed to dig and plough the fields, to garden and prune the fruit-trees, and to exercise trades. They were engaged from early dawn till late at night, and because the way from their homes was often far, they were forced to sleep in the open air, upon the bare ground.[3]
As the life of the Israelites became embittered to them, they called the king Merer, "the embitterer," instead of Melol, "the grinder," though that was appropriate enough, one would have supposed.[4]

what needs to be done: first find the orientation of the pyramid and mastaba to the north pole. once you know the orientation check the orientation with Mario Buildreps research. this will give you the time frame the structures were created. then you start from there you hypothesis. i would guess you are looking at an age of 50-100 thousand years are more. i'll see if i can find the orientation to north pole and help with this. so far i agree this structure much older. there is far more to this structure than are shown. these structures are connected to others.

To all of you looking for an articulate and science based explanation of the internal structure of the pyramids : please consider taking the time to consult the youtube channel @thelandofchem. I've been following a lot of the channels on this topic and so far no one even comes close to that guy. His take on the entire complex is not only solid and grounded, it brings together even the most peculiar architectural structures in a way that makes perfect sense.

so you believe: 1 andjeti the man is buried in the tomb some time before 1st dynasty. 2 tomb location is unknown to everyone after that and andjeti has god status. 3 hundreds or maybe even a thousand years later sneferu finds a tomb, breaks it open somehow, and (given that there is no writing) opens the sarcophagus and finds andjetis body and the bird and crooks (or if they are later additions something else to identify him as andjeti) and realizes he has found andjetis tomb, seals it back up. 4 builds a mastaba ontop and tries to smooth out the step pyramid next to it?
i mean, maybe.too bad that bone is dust in the wind now. so sad.

The striking thing about the skull is how Northern European it looks, Scandinavian really. We need to tread carefully with the Establishment's findings and falsehoods concerning many issues.

Despite the dark curly hair, this skull doesn't look Sub-Saharan-African. Not even East African (Nubian) because they (Somalians, Ethiopians) have a very distinctive forehead and head shape. This male individual could be mainly of Mediterranian and/or North African/Near Eastern origin.
And if it really is the deified Andjety it is even more unlikely that he is of African origin because he was buried in lower Egypt and worshipped in the delta, which is much further away from Nubia than Upper Egypt.
