Dude. I can’t believe I just learned probably some of the most anxiety relieving piece of baby advice from a RUclipsr I started watching in 2014-2015.
Now I know if I ever have a baby girl not to go into a full on panic attack and possibly cardiac arrest if there’s blood in the diaper.
Like this is no joke some of the best information out there that could literally save the lives of soon-to-be parents who might have underlying heart problems as I myself have.
Yeah, he said those things like "oh, whatever, it's just a thing" but it's exactly the kind of thing that you wouldn't likely find out while preparing to have a kid and would be incredibly important to know if it came up.

My wife and I are looking to start our own family soon, and I do have anxiety and heart problems so like.. I can only imagine what could have happened if we have a daughter and I didn’t know about this. It’s a potential serious medical emergency waiting to happen.

I'm having my first baby, a girl, with underlying heart problems in about 4 months. Definitely noted. NL is just like Alexandria's Library of knowledge and wisdom lol

If I'm cooking with ginger, I'm also cooking with garlic in the same dish, but if I'm cooking with garlic, I might not add ginger. In other words garlic is superior to ginger. By this logic onion is the superiorest of all. I pretty much don't cook anything without onion :D

It was a hell of a feeling when I discovered that I didn't need onion for some dishes. Going just garlic creates a purer flavour sometimes

The egg story was really funny as a german.
Here eggs are neither refrigerated, nor come in dozens.
You can usually buy them in cartons of 6, 10 or 18. You might also get some pallets with 30 eggs.
It was so amusing to see that one guy hatch a quail egg from a bunch of store bought eggs. I thought the video was a fake because I didn't know that stores in Europe don't refrigerate eggs! Some people in the US don't put eggs in the fridge either.

Also eggs last more than a week so I find it hard that even a single person can't eat 12 eggs within 3 weeks.. So many recipes need eggs and eggs are just dam good with breakfast.

This is literally what my wife and I did and it worked great, but we're weird because she's a super early riser and I love an excuse to go to bed in the early morning and wake up late in the morning.

This is what my wife and I are actively doing, and it has been a godsend for her sleep schedule.
@@farahali3032 fixed it. I actually meant i went to bed in the early morning. My wife slept 8pm-3am and I slept 3am-10am (plus or minus an hour)
To be fair, NL is right--the baby just slept that whole time and I could literally just chill and play video games on the TV, but we still much preferred that to using known-defective baby monitors for peace of mind.
Although thus reminds me, the first bit of advice I'd give me parents is that there's an organization in Sweden dedicated to safe sleep for infants that will send you a baby box for free. It makes taking shifts much less onerous when the kid can be wherever you are while they sleep.

@@dylanb2990 what NL was referring to in the video isn't a camera--it's a little sock with a heart monitor like a Fitbit in it designed to sound an alarm when it doesn't detect a heartbeat, specifically to guard against SIDS.
They're defective because they quite commonly sound alarms when the baby's fine, and even worse they often don't sound the alarm when the baby isn't fine.

Hi Northernlion, I have a rather specific and probably weird question for RUclips, but I don't know who to ask.
I started doing Vampire Survivors videos and the third one popped off like crazy (for my numbers, not for yours lol) and reached over 6k views. My usual videos got like 2-5 views, so that's a huge increase. When I upload Vampire Survivors videos, they get anywhere from 80-1000 views, but other games are down at 10 views and I feel like I should only go for the Vampire Survivors content until the initial "hype" the one pop off brought in ends, but then I don't know if I just go back to playing multiple games or keep playing the one most want to watch. I noticed a while ago certain videos on your channel performed very differently (e.g. SAP outperformed anything for a very long time), and now Vampire Survivors is also in that ballpark.
If you could give someone who doesn't do RUclips for a living (as in, has time locked up by having a different job) an advice, how would you proceed?
Two routes, follow the trends for growth or follow your heart and pray you get insanely lucky

If you're bored or disinterested or annoyed with a game, it comes through in commentary and keeps people from wanting to subscribe...
Also the RUclips Algorithm likes one or two topics a channel and promotes those the most..
Samuel streamer runs four channels of varied content for example.
Gopher runs two channels to keep edited and raw live footage separate.
Longer playlists get favored over time. But seriously the best thing you can do is always have fun. We watch because we need some fun and social. ❤

Based on your numbers you're not big enough to be what people want yet. You can keep at it until you become what people want, and then you can do whatever you like.

Did you guys saw the dmg of the birds o.o 6 minutes and it has the highest dmg. Compared with garlic with 18 min. Those birds are insane o.o
Birds and cross are the highest dps, birds take a lot of xp to get going though.
Vandalier did some nutty damage at the end. It seems like its weaker than other upgrades at lvl 1 but since you can level it up it becomes the best. Makes sense for how much commitment you are putting into it.
I’ve only gotten the early stages of Vandalier but I expect it to be the strongest weapon at max level, also that it allows you to get a 9th weapon is pretty good. The problem is the heavy investment in it, basically 3x the other upgraded weapons
Edit: just got max level Vandalier in hyper library. 1.2m damage in 6:25 mins, 3k dps. In comparison, hellfire did 2.9m RNG in 13:12 mins, 3.6k dps
@@noxus7462 Vandalier is easily the strongest weapon in the game if you build around it. No other weapon scales as well with support nearly as much. With the right build, it will outdo every weapon with their respective optimum build
I think the levels it gets only increase area and cooldown - damage remains the same (except you hit more)

evolved garlic is fine the real shit is evolved axes and especially evolved bird. evolved bird is insane and by far the best weapon.
@@sophiekirkpatrick300 Well the evolved bird did almost as much DPS as all other weapons combined crazy. Soul Eater didn't even do much so it looks like you shouldn't take garlic ever. 753.5k damage vs 3.6 million damage with the evolved bird and that bird came very late in the run with just 6:36 minutes left.
Seems like evolved bird and evolved rune tracer are the highest DPS.

@@icanwatchthevideos runetracer doesnt evolve but it doesnt have to - its still insane damage (in the library at least im pretty sure its bad in the forest)

Taking attract orb over evolving the whip is the real bad take NL.
attract orb is actually one of the better pick ups.
The upgraded garlic is pretty underwhelming TBH. They might need to give it a damage upgrade in the next patch to be on par with the other upgraded weapons.
It gets another 1 point of damage, every time you steal a heart. But, you're right. It still sucks. It'll eventually scale up to being strong enough to one shot the enemies at the 18 minute mark. At around 29 minutes. Soooo, it's only useful for the knockback debuff to give you space.
theoretically there exists a balance state for the game where the build you want is this garlic + high damage, single target weapon, where rather than being the main damage source, the garlic is there to clear less desirable targets so your main dps is more reliable. I think iterating towards something like that would be more interesting than simply buffing everything to have similar damage numbers, but it depends on the developers' vision for the game.
Watched Free Guy about 2 weeks ago. Absolutely cringe from beginning to end. I was pretty surprised after hearing so many say it was really good. I laughed outloud a few times but man the cringe level was through the roof
Garlic is way more work than ginger wtf. You don't even have to peel the ginger if you don't feel like it.
What you do with ginger is to put it in the food processor with some oil and salt and put the result in an ice cube tray in the freezer. Do the same with garlic.
Now whenever you make a curry you just take out a ginger cube and a garlic cube and you have an awesome base.
Im a produce clerk at a grocery store. Taking apart bunches of bananas is absolutely fine, and breaking apart ginger is not a big deal. The exposed ends will get mold faster, but you can cut them off and the rest will be fine. There are way more annoying things you can do in the produce section than trying not to buy more than you need

I buy 30 eggs at once. They last a long time and I've never had a problem eating them before they go bad, we're also only two people eating this. To be fair I live in the countryside so I don't go shopping every day because it requires me to drive and I can get them fresh and cheap from a local farm.
there's some video somewhere you should watch about the american egg industry. We clean our eggs en masse, which removes some protective coating they have or something, which in turn makes us have to refrigerate them, and changes how long they last. I would assume canada does the same, just because it would make sense for them to import american eggs and use the mainland infrastructure, but I don't know. Pretty weird stuff.
In addition to the above reply, American eggs are paper thin. The agriculture industry in America treats livestock terribly, which shows in the decreased quality of livestock products. The chickens are fed bare minimum, so the shells are thin and brittle, and then they're also washed with harsh chemicals.

Yeah, "a dozen eggs" is absolutely the norm here. However, we wash the outer layer off the egg before sale which EU folks don't do, so our eggs last a good bit longer.

My beard is like wires. No electric shaver can handle it. Even disposable razors get trashed in no time. I use a safety razor instead.
Congratulations on your baby. Regarding the owlet sock we used it with both our kids… they are now 5 and 3. The owlet sock was amazing and when combined with the owlet baby monitor it was a real god send.
Pro tip: Kids are more durable then you first realize. As long as you love them and give a damn about them you will be fine 🙂

The defense of evolved garlic and book is insane. Combine it with evolved axe, and nothing can get close to you.
We started pottytraining when our kid was 13months, diaperfree when she was 15months.
First weeks is the most chill, the kid sleeps 70% of the time. You think its intense but you also realise it get more and more intense as the child get older. It starts to turn and get easier when the child is about 4-5 when they start to be able to do some stuff themselves.

Best advice, don't force it, you'll make your child scared of the potty. Bring a potty in the house at about 2 and explain what it's for.
Something I've learned is that my child got so upset when she had an accident that she wanted to go back to the nappy. She really hated being wet.
NL ginger is really good to freeze if you don’t use it all. Even cutting it finely frozen and just never thaw it works well

Who the hell buys eggs by a dozen? I buy them 64 at a time. Or rather I buy 128 at a time. Even if I only eat 1 egg per day on average, Eggs last eons. And if I need to bake something, for guests coming over, I have eggs handy. It's not like milk that expires after a fortnight.
