@@MxllyRK I haven't gone and looked for myself yet, and I doubt its true but they gave us extinction velos and owls maybe they'll include drakes, but since the already included reapers they might have saved drakes so theres still a reason to buy abberation

Another conspiracy theory: In one of his videos, Syntac said he hopes there's going to be a hidden ocean in the water under the tek trenches. Maybe Wildcard got inspiration from that.

The R-Direwolves don't remind me of Hyenas at all. Rather, their pattern reminds me of the African Painted Dogs.

I think that is what the r variant is based off of.
I'm so glad we have a biome variant of the allo that doesn't have lava. Like I think the lava one is cool, but it's not as fun to mutate cause the lava isn't a color region. Really looking forward to mutating these guys!

To me, the Aberrant versions still are the best ones, especially the Spino. I remember playing it the first time through the dark without gamma enhancements and the glow in the dark Dinos would either scare you to death or enchant you.
Still. These are just beautiful. My fave is the R-Dilos.
Yes! The other thing that's so awesome about the aberrant ones is when you're on Ab, everything is either a dino new to the map or aberrant. I always loved that. It's just so... immersive, I guess?

I like that the brontosaurus has an R variant. The first one looked muddy.
The first R Direwolf is STUNNING. Reminds me of a Painted Wolf (aka African Wild Dog, Painted Dog, etc) which is one of my all time favorite species.
With the gasbags. If you look at the OG gasbag face, you can see someone fucked up on the texture on the UV since there's a line that runs down the entire center of every single one. It's more noticeable when it has a bright-colored base. Really glad they ended up fixing that in gen 2

I think the should’ve added like a glow to their stripes it would’ve made Rockwell’s biome look so much cooler and would’ve blended in with the glow trees at night . it would’ve made their design on par with the x variants

that second wolf looks almost exactly like mine! the white red n black one, just the white is more of a yellow ish? like a tan yellow
and the inside of the spots are like a pumpkin orange
Those giga variants are also on eden side, ran into one top left of the map.
Quetzals actually do have a really good use. If you put a platform on it you can use it as Dino recovery for new players that happened to jump off their Birds and aren't able to get them down. Also helps to prevent The Disappearing glitch when dinos are stranded in the air and you whistle for them and they disappear

I think genesis is my new favorite map, it looks like they made the hunting section of bass pro into a map and said fk it let's make it huge

It’s the raptor not the parasaur coz they have all the variants and it’s on the front cover in multiple occasions annnnddd it’s used in the animated series as well as the parasaur but it is used in the “ark movie”

They should've added seasons to the biomes too, during the different seasons, different dinos would appear out of hibernation, and the Rockwell Garden could change seasons like Aberration has different levels, somehow, just a thought I had
Reapers have always been my fav of the large dinos, so excited to have new colors and patterns to go for. i can't wait for a holiday set to come

Looks like a lot of the garden creatures are really based off tropical fish, especially Discus since the dilos and brontos look like they have Discus patterns pasted onto them lol

The R Equus resembles an extinct zebra, the quagga. The R Direwolf definitely resembles the African Wild Dog aka African Painted dog. The R Snow Owl, to me, looks more like barn owl. Thylas remind me a lot more of a leopard, seeing as how some leopard hunt from the trees and thyla pounce from them along side the new pattern.
As for my favorite variant….it’s hard to pick. I love the new direwolf and thyla.
Imagine painting those dinosaurs and creatures that’s going to be a pain all of the detail
I wish the thyla had more of a opossum pattern it would be more accurate but the closest thing i can think of to the thyla would be the tasmainian tiger
HOLY FRACK, Syntac the carnaflora drop element shards and a heck tone!!!!
The crystals on the asteroids give shards and whole element I got 16 element with 1 Tek punch

If you have freinds who play ark with you give each one a tek pistols and dominate but if your playing solo tek bow

I think the R stands for rockwell, as in thwy were changed because rockwell took control of the ship

Oof, normally I don't even think about the 5% damage buff on the creature variants, but on a giga I think that's going to be much more noticeable, that is scary
5% of a base 450 isn't a lot. It's like 23 or something
Megatherium is one of my favorite creatures in ark
They're ability is nice
If you get an Exo Mek And take it to space you can pretty much just walk around in space ever so slowly and if you go to the Eden biome and go where the giant waterfall in the center of the tech trench there’s a underwater tunnel on the other side and it leads to a giant underground ocean
I don't like how the new pattern on the spindles really drowns out the sculpting on the back
Near the big mountains of the starter biome you can find R Gigas 👍👍
