@@ClassCreatives 2:23 where did u find these smaug hobbit behind the szenes clips, they look amazing and r really encouraging that movies like that r that "easy"...
Man always like your videos and the clips you provide on different characters being made like Spider-Man being sculpted for Spider-Man ps4 also I was just watching a uncharted 4 documentary and they were using zbrush on Nathan drakes model
I have tried using Zbrush a few times, and I always give up because I just can't get past the controls and UI, but that might just be because I have used blender for so long. To me using Zbrush feels like trying to run a marathon with weights around your angles. XD I personally struggle to find any reason to switch to Zbrush, when, as far as I'm aware, blender can do more or less everything Zbrush can, for free. But I'm sure there will be people ready to enlighten me if I write this here, so this is your chance to explain to me why I'm wrong. =3
lol I remember the first time I used Zbrush, I got out of there real fast. I eventually found a good tutorial to giude me. After 3 or 4 projects I was used to the the UI and now I make everything in Zbrush from characters to hard surface stuff. It's an amazing tool once you get a good idea of how it works. And it's insanely packed with features that make your sculpting experience fun and easier.
It has a really good optimisation and you can make rocks and characters relatively quickly if you know what you’re doing. it’s ZModeler is kinda slow in modeling. But you can do a lot more detailing than in blender.
I used to feel overwhelmed by Zbrush's UI and would often switch to Blender or 3DCoat for sculpting. However, after taking a course on Udemy, I learned the basics of Zbrush and was able to customize the UI to fit my workflow. Now, I find Zbrush much easier to use and can sculpt three times faster than I could in Blender.
I feel like it's not a fair comparison, though. I use both Blender and Zbrush, and they are just two very different beasts and I think of using them in different scenarios. Blender can produce any results Zbrush can, but if you know how to take advantage of Zbrush's full set of features, you can optimize and automize a lot of things that in Blender you would just have to sculpt or model manually (unless you're really good at geo nodes). Blender is acomplete 3D solution with most of the functionality you would expect from such software in one place. Zbrush is a specialized software, it focuses on one thing and one thing only and excels at it. It's a swiss army knife vs a hammer kind of dilemma if you ask me. Both are great, but they are tools that work better in conjunction instead of being a replacement for each other. Also, if you are a hobbyist Blender really is the way to go, if your work really demands the amount of technicality and specialization only Zbrush can provide, then it's well worth the money.
Definitely seeing some changes with the industry and pro artists using blender, however as you can see in this video AAA game studios and movie studios are still using ZBrush and the standard industry workflows for most of their character work. But there definitely are some good changes happening, it’s an interesting time and studios are always looking for what can make them big money, so you never know. But it takes a lot to change big studio pipelines, it won’t happen overnight.
@@ClassCreatives Thanks for responding, I think you hit the nail on the head, from what I've heard the mass adaptation/change it would require for people in industry to adopt blender is too much effort right now😅
How exactly? What if a child, teen, or someone doesn’t have a cpu to run zbrush…is it impossible to get the same quality on other software like Nomad sculpt?? No, so just from the title it’s a terrible video.
Indeed and they bare brought anything new to the table since then. Just useless repairs to things that weren't broken to begin with and lots and lots of instabilities.
@@rosumparat my last update was for the 2022 license I bought my perpetual license in 2017 for $750, there are a few peeps who have decent perpetual licenses like Marmoset Toolbag and 3D Coat, I also switched from photoshop to Affinity Photo
Blender can never reach Zbrush level because zbrush isn't "true" 3d but is actually 2.5d which helps it reach insane high poly counts and advanced remesh and other complex mesh processing.
@@James.Just.James. Agreed, I purchased 3dcoat a year ago because Zbrush was expensive. But it didn't click because the interface sometimes is confusing, but I still use it for retopology and texture painting. I tried Blender but I needed GoZ for CC4 so I finally purchased the 2023 perpetual license and It was worth it.
Thank you, Class Creatives
Been waiting for a video like dis
For sure! Took a lot of time and research for this one, so hopefully it’s helpful for everyone!

Visit the royal skyes channel. He shows how to mimic blender controls into zbrush

Learning Zbrush and 3ds at uni as its 'industry standard' but I'm seeing more industries using blender, whats your personal thoughts?

No big “industry” is using Blender, at the moment. If it does, its for small stuff. The pipeline is too advanced for Blender.

Maxon killed my love for zbrush, they killed all perpetual licenses and have not innovated at all after acquiring zbrush

It's been years yet they still haven't fixed the knife brush 🤦♂️
@@zedeon6299 seriously, maxon is doing the same as adobe, instead of innovating or fixing things they just buy competition out.
Simply because zbrush is the best when it comes to sculpting and making concepts.
Pixologic's biggest mistake was to sale themselves to Maxon.
And its always a painful frkn process thanks to the ridiculous UI/UX

B😂st before they knew about blender 😂
Blender is the future.
because the best artists in the world use zbrush? I'm guessing? before I watch the entire video, who knows maybe I'm right.
It has more and better features.
Wow what a genius. Great analysis. Maybe the point of the video is why they chose this over the other good applications?
because its easy to code its crack
let blender cook
