former bridal consultant here! a lot of girls needed second or third appointments before they made their choice! i usually recommended my brides for their first appointment to try different styles to see what they like on them first. it is COMMON that you go in thinking you’ll get one thing and then get something completely different. also, especially for someone like you that wears nice dresses more frequently, try to see how the dress makes you feel. in the beginning when you said you feel like a princess, a lot of times you might feel beautiful but you don’t feel like a bride. i think for a lot of girls that “when you know you know” feeling is the feeling of “this dress makes me feel like i’m a bride”
THIS IS LITERALLY THE BEST ADVICE WOW
this is INCREDIBLE advice for any brides to be!
To go off of this (as a current bridal stylist) if there’s a dress in your head that you compare all the others too, that’s usually a good sign too! My biggest thing is the second it gets overwhelming and no longer fun, take a breather and regroup! This should be fun!
This is some of the best advice I’ve ever seen for dress shopping!! Everyone should try on different styles I totally agree but it honestly takes someone else forcing me to put the dress in hand and try it since I don’t gravitate to multiple styles all the time.
@@lyndseymarie6207 yeah thats so true! Just picked my dress like that. Went back to that dress in my mind all the time🫶🏻🥰
When remi said "your boobs look great", the gasp and genuine happiness Lauren had on her face
LOL IT IS A RARE BOOB COMPLIMENT THAT I SHALL CHERISH FOREVER
Awe we love the friend support. Hyping you up and being honest 💕
no cuz im actually emo watching it back with their support 😭
I love every video Maggie is in. Her warmth and kindness beams from her smile. I love the Lauremy/Zaggie friendship!!
❤
Omd the jessica rabbit dress is GIVING! The bead stripe detail really compliments your figure! I tried on about 5 dresses until I knew what FIT I wanted. I was open to everything like A line, princess, puffy, but I realised that I wanted to emphasise my waist and my shoulders so I went for a fitted mermaid style dress.
May we all be lucky enough to have such a supportive friend group!
I truly wish this for everyone!!!! I am SO lucky and grateful to have such incredibly supportive friends
Why am I getting emotional? It’s just so nice to see because me and millions of other people have been such big fans of you for so long and to see big moments like that happen in your life it’s just so nice to see!
STOP ill cry 😭
@@laurDIYvlogs oh my gosh, Lauren!! (we have the same name so it’s funny to type it out) You’re gonna make ME cry! I am so happy for you and hope you guys have a happy and healthy marriage!
I went to 2 different stores - 6 from the 1st store and 8 from the 2nd store. Ended up picking my dress from the 2nd store and I KNEW when I put it on (the veil sealed the deal). Also, I walked in thinking I knew what I want and walked away with the COMPLETE opposite style/design so keep your mind open. You just never know. Best of luck!! Whatever you pick, it’ll be gorgeous :)
Lauren and Maggie together is such a vibe!!
I tried 15-20 dresses before minding my dress. I feel like eventually it starts to feel repetitive & you’ll realize towards the end of your search, there is a certain style/fit you’re more drawn too.
I'm not gonna lie, my eyes started watering the moment you stepped out in that first dress!!! So excited for you and your future!!! You're BEAUTIFUL!!!
Hi! 2024 bride here ✨ (got engaged a few weeks after you and Jeremy!) but at my first dress appt (wanted to just try out styles not really looking to find THE ONE) I ended finding the dress of my absolute dreams! It was the second dress I tried on and in total tried on about 6-7! The dress I chose is the OPPOSITE of what I thought I wanted! As stressful as it is, once you know you really do know! The second time I tried on the dress (to try with a veil) i started crying in the dressing room before i could even see it all together 😅 Go with your heart and what makes you feel absolutely beautiful 💖
Love your support team! I got my dress custom made by a theater costume designer (as recommended by a friend) and was blown away by how awesome the process was, it made it so special for me. Only had my best friend and sister at early fittings but no one saw the actual finished product until it was on my body the day of the wedding. The reactions (and photos) from my bridesmaids and Mom was everything! I actually designed my entire dress to fit around an antique Belgian linen veil that has been worn by 4 generations of my Mom's side of the family, very intricate and delicate. We actually went to Brugge in Belgium as part of our honeymoon to see if we could find the original makers, and we DID! The owners of the store begged to buy it back but it is safely in storage for my sister. Best wishes from South Africa ❤
Omg as a wedding photographer, the last beaded dress would photograph STUNNINGLY! It looked like it was made for you, my gosh! I hope you find something you’re obsessed with that makes you feel like a pretty bride ❤️ xoxo
I went to 2 different bridal shops. I found my dress at the second shop 30 minutes into my 2 hour appointment. When I put a veil on with the dress, it brought me to tears. That’s when I knew 😊
That second dress was so flattering on you, but like you said it was very simple. My favorite was the 6th dress (the off the shoulder with the beading you didn't love), it was also very flattering on you. Whatever you pick will be gorgeous!
I love how much love was in the room during the appointment ugh 🥹 loved the new intro too btw
watching this back made me more emotional than actually being there
@@laurDIYvlogs as it should 🫶🏽 i’m so happy you’ll be able to revisit this moment for the rest of your life. this one is gold
I am a plus size Oct 2023 Bride, I tried on 6 dresses in my first appointment. That 6th dress was it, the dress made me so happy and like a vey sexy bride. I hope you truly enjoy your dress shopping journey
Hey! I’m a current bridal consultant and I think you should definitely try a sheath dress with an overskirt for your two looks! Also, with bridal, you’ll very rarely go for what you think you wanted.
I basically went into wedding dress shopping wanting the same style as you and ended up with more volume ballgown style instead of A-line. I fell in love with two dresses online and it was the second choice I went with. I probably only tried on about 10-15 dresses but I feel like a lot of them were immediately no. I would probably suggest trying on a medium amount of dresses (slightly more than I did) but not a million. Good luck and congrats 💜✨
Remi and Mia getting ALLL the shots. Friends supporting Friends
Absolutely love how supportive Mia and Remi have been with your wedding journey it definitely shows how great of a bond you girls have! Those who can’t be supportive of you when good things are happening in your life shouldn’t be apart of moments like this😭 loved every single one on you! You’re going to be such a beautiful bride 🥹
I had 3 separate bridal appointments before I found my dress. I tried on at least 10 dresses from each shop because I wanted to LOVE my dress and I do. Don’t get discouraged! You’ll find your one 💞
As someone who has been watching a long time and watches all of you and your friends I appreciated the vibe of this video! I felt like I was genuinely one of the girls just hanging out watching you try on dresses! Found myself smiling and so happy for you the whole time! Can’t wait to watch this entire process! Congrats again!
You look absolutely gorgeous in all of them! I've been waiting for the wedding dress tryouts. I looooove all the wedding vlogs. Thank you for including us in your life!
I just started balling my eyes out seeing Lauren in the dresses out of happiness omg so exciting!
laur, i’ve been watching you and your videos since i was 13, it’s been 7 years now and seeing you getting married, esp the moment you put that veil on i started sobbing thinking how i’ve grown up with you and that both you and i are soooo far away from where we started and how much we’ve grown over the years! you’ve literally been an older sister to me fr and it feels surreal as if my elder sister’s getting married!!!! i’m so so so so happy for you, i love youuu😭🥺❤️❤️❤️
i’ve been watching Lauren for so many years and watching her trying on wedding dresses is so surreal! SHE GETTING MARRIED!! OMGGG!! ❤❤❤
I tried on about 7, but ended up picking the very first one I tried on. I guess I'm was a low-maintenance bride.
I think so many people get fixated on the one perfect dress, but there are probably a hundred dresses out there that would look gorgeous for your wedding day. Just pick out 5 more and retry on the ones you fell in love with this time and then make your final decision. Good luck I love that you are sharing all this wedding content.
i've never seen anyone prepare for a wedding firsthand, and i've grown up watching you, so thank you for bringing us along on your journey!
you're so freaking pretty Lauren! Literally that sleek and simple, yet modern gown that you tried a veil with, I low-key started crying. You're going to be a beautiful bride!
Well even if it didn’t go great, it is still awesome you get to do this now! You always look stunning! 💜
I absolutely must know the designer for the see through bottom dress with the vines running down it! Definitely my favorite by far. Also I’ve been watching since the beginning and seeing you in a wedding dress makes me want to literally start crying. So pretty!
I adore the one with the pretty detail that you wanted more volume with (which I agree with) but honestly they all looked amazing in you and whatever you choose is going to look incredible!
The dresses with lots of volume look spectacular on you!!! Also the last one had AMAZING details - dress for ceremony and one for reception possibly??
Aahhhh the new intro 🥰🤩🤩🤩 wedding content yesssss
I love you sm sending you all the good wedding vibes ❤❤❤
So beautiful I love this for you!! Thank you for sharing your process with us I’m honored and excited to see what WEDDING dress you pick❤❤❤
This video is SO fun!! Soooo fun to watch the process and excited to watch more! I LOVED the longer clips, it felt like we were along with you. Also love listening to you go back through them and talk about each at home! Cannot wait for more videos!!! P.S. you looked gorgeous in all, and will look amazing in any dress you choose, and I personally loooove the last one! You looked so snatched and gorgeous!
The way I gasped when you tried on the last dress. It looked like it was made for you! Of course whatever dress you pick you will look stunning 😍
The lines enhance your natural curves 🥰 def my fave of the bunch!
I got married in 2018, and found my dress immediately at my first appointment. I tried on many different styles. I thought I wanted something more princess vibes, no lace. I purchased a more mermaid style full lace dress 😅 I think I tried 10-15 dresses. The dresses were all so beautiful, but as soon as I saw myself in the one I picked, I immediately felt like a bride 👰🏼 ❤ it’s a different feeling than just feeling beautiful in the dress. You can picture yourself at your venue in the dress, walking to your groom in that dress. It’s a magical feeling 🥹
I just went dress shopping this week. I loved the third dress I tried on. I wasn't too sure it was the one, continued to try on another 20-ish dress to only think about the one I tried on at the beginning of the day. When it's your dress, every dress after that you compare to it.
I absolutely loved the second dress which was the simpler one. I think it would be awesome to keep that kind of cut and material with a little more detail and design elements which is what you love. I think it’ll be great :)
The last one was also gorgeous. Most important thing is to enjoy the process and trust that it’s all gonna work out in time :)
I tried 6 dresses at one store and 7 at the next, and the very last dress I tried on I knew was the one before it was even fully on! And it was exactly what I’d always said I wanted since I was a teenager. You’ve got this, it takes time!
i LOVED the second one on you + the veil!! & the one with the cute off the shoulder sleeve things that made you look like a princess.
I tried on about 20 before I found my dress! I completely understand the overwhelming feeling you are describing. I can only imagine it being amplified when you’re in LA with so many options to choose from. I ended up choosing something I did not think I would ever like, but I love it! Also think about how you might want your hair on your actual wedding day and try wearing it similarly on your next appointment so you can envision you in the dress on your special day better! Best of luck Lauren!
You looked stunning in all of the dresses ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I completely agree with your opinion. Plus, you look beautiful in every dress. The flowery ones with the leaf and all that would also be my idea of a good dress, but the dandelion poofs and your favorite are my favorites too.
caught me crying with this one 😭❤️ you looked so stunning with the dresses Lauren! 💕
Have watched you for over a decade and this is the moment I've waited for, so excited for you ❤
So happy for you! Anything wedding related is STRESSFUL
Loving the wedding content !!! ❤
I tried on like 10 dresses before I picked mine. I did look at tons of magazines though to get an idea of what shape I liked to help me narrow it but also I thought how would I feel about the dress in like 25 years because I didn’t want it to feel dated
The last dress is absolutely breathtaking! It's looks unreal and you look unreal! You look like a celestial nymph! I do think the last one is the best one, but at the end of the day it's your choice and decision! I'm sure whatever you pick will be absolutely gorgeous! But the last one..... ❤🥺😍😩🥳👼🤌🏻👼👼👼👼👼👼👼👼👼
The off the shoulder one and the last one are my favs on you! Literally look so incredible in both of them. But totally get what u said with the beading and stuff on the off the shoulder. The last one was the top of the video for me!
I tried on about 5 dresses and ended up picking the second one I tried on. I've always loved the boho vibe for a wedding dress and always wanted sleeves and the dress I chose they were able to add sleeves. Also, when they put the veil on, that's what did it. You looked so pretty in all of the dresses! ❤
I’m obsessed with the last dress!! It looks like a firework?! And YOU LOOK INSANE IN IT ❤
the way my jaw dropped on that last one though (the beaded all over). just STUNNING. 😍
I only ended up having one appointment for my ceremony dress and tried on about 5 dresses, and just felt myself itching to get back into the first dress I tried on which ended up being my wedding dress cause I burst into tears when they added the veil when I tried it on again at the end of my appointment. and then literally the exact same thing happened when shopping for my reception/2nd dress. and even crazier, both those appointments were on the same day. my wedding dress shopping experience was over and done with in one day for 2 dresses. 😂
You look stunning in every single one!! That last one is sooooo prettyyy! And the super simple one!😍🩵
the A line dress from the first 3 picks is STUNNING holy shit its so beautiful u look amazing lauren
this timing could not be better! i am also engaged but you are a couple steps ahead of me in the wedding planning so i'm getting lots of inspo from your wedding dress shopping experience! also i've been watching you since like middle school so it's kinda crazy that we're engaged at the same time, kinda love that 🤭 anyway, you look so so beautiful in every dress! can't wait to see what you pick!
The final dress looks INCREDIBLE on you. You look beautiful in all of them, but the silhouette on the last one is *chefs kiss*. I remember when I bought my dress, I went to 3-4 bridal consultations both with friends and with my mom. When I went with my friends I was SO conflicted because they hyped up tf up (as any friend should lol) but it was hard to focus and truly nail it down.
I just found my dress last weekend and I did SOOO much research before. I went into the fitting thinking about one specific dress and I was so scared to try it on in case it didn’t look right on me/how I envisioned it. I ended up picking the first one I tried on and nothing else compared (I also only tried on 5 dresses after that one). If I had a bigger budget for my dress, I could see myself trying on more in a similar style to the one I chose just to be sure. But the dress I found was in my price range and it’s all I could think about when trying on other dresses during the fitting and I just felt so comfortable in it. I could envision my fiancé seeing me in it and that sealed the deal. Wishing you so much luck! Also I didn’t have the “moment”. Like I didn’t cry or anything, it was mostly just the comfort and feeling of “this is my dress and I don’t want to take it off”. Wishing you so much luck! You’ll find the one and look AMAZING!! These all looked soooooo stunning on you!!!
I love the sheer airy tulle (?) skirts - especially for the practicality of movement, and they make any dress a little softer and romantic (they can also look sexy in pics when you're sitting and you can see your legs through the fabric if you shift some of the underskirt). If you try more simple/unembellished dresses, perhaps consider more ornate hair/veil/jewellery to accompany the look (for example, whether or not you'd wear a bracelet or large necklace on the day). Definetly try the "sit test" (can I sit and enjoy my food, or is this a standing only dress?) and how easy it is to hike up the skirt to use the washroom (these are good to think about prior to fittings as well); basically how you'll plan to move about in the gown(s) on your day. I have to say that - whether you have 1 or 2 looks, you looked absolutely spectacular in the last dress you tried on. You have a youthful face and everyday style, and this dress was elegant without being overly mature. You look womanly, confident, with a bit of an old hollywood flair. I personally did not find the detailing stripey since the lines go in more than one direction. I actually thought you looked like you were wrapped in starlight, and think it would look soft during the day, and sparkle in evening shots. Whatever you end up choosing, I hope you have a lovely experience and find a gown that makes you feel amazing ❤ Congrats to you and Jeremy
You look amazing in all of these dresses!! You are going to be an absolutely STUNNING bride!!
these most stunning dressess the last 3 dressess love
When I went dress shopping almost 2 years ago, I tried on at least 15 to 20 dresses within 2 different bridal shops. I choose my dress the first day I went shopping. I was open to trying on many different silhouettes which helped me to find the best one that fit my body type. Knowing what silhouettes look good on your body, the vision you have for your wedding or venue you choose can help you when picking your wedding dress. Sending you the best wedding dress vibes!!
Totally agree that trying too many is unhelpful. I went to three stores (tried maybe 10 dresses at each store) before I felt like it wasn't worth additional time or dress options. My dress ended up being one of the first dresses I tried on, similar in some ways to what I imagined I'd wear, but I didn't make the decision until I had completed all of my appointments. I felt comfortable making my decision after feeling like I tried pretty close to one of every silhouette, style, material, neckline, etc. Because at that point, I was able to confidently go with a dress that made me feel good about and like an elevated version of myself. I personally didn't think too much about the guests' reactions, but I understand that being a consideration! It's not worth second guessing what feels right and makes you happy because there could be something slightly better out there - it's just like choosing your life partner :) I'm sure you made the best decision for you (and you obviously look amazing in so many dresses, you can't go wrong)
LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE the 2nd one. it's so classy and it's so bridal on you!!
the cake topper one i would never expect to like but am fully obsessed with you look INSANELY good
I'm so late to this video but wow do you look like a beautiful bride! Your happiness shines through my screen and I cannot help but tell you how wonderful your energy is. It's so uplifting and radiating, oh my, I cannot wait until your wedding guests see you!!
the dress at 9:53 is literally STUNNING 😍 lauren pls consider that dress because it’s made for you!!!!
I feel you, I looked a dresses yesterday and I felt so overwhelmed and was like why there is so many options 😂
My cat Daisy gave me the biggest side eye when the puppers came on screen 😂
Lauren, I felt the exact same way as you!!! Everyone told me that I would know when I tried it on, but that is so not the case for a picky bride 😂
I wanted a corset A-line dress but hated every A-line dress I tried on untilllll I found THE one! I tried on probably 20-25 dresses at 5 different shops and was convinced I just wouldn’t love any wedding dress and would have to settle. I tried on every different style and shape and then when I tried on the dress that I ended up choosing, I knew I reallllly liked it but I didn’t have an emotional moment until I went home and looked at photos and videos. Then I couldn’t stop thinking about it. When I went back to try it on a second time, I had tears in my eyes and I’m still obsessed with it 6 months post wedding!!
I hope that makes you feel better! You’ll find the one, don’t worry!!
the second was is so simple but fits you so nice! might be my favorite tbh
I went to 3 stores and tried around 4-5 in each. I always knew the cut I wanted but tried some different anyway and ended-up with the initial style I had in mind as it just flattered me the most. But there is just something about your chosen dress that you just really know it is it… relax, you will find it! ❤
I tried on probably 5-10 dresses and found my dress in the first appointment. Before the appointment, I looked at a few online and tried one of them on during the appointment but I ultimately picked the one that combined all them elements I loved from the other dresses I looked at/tried on.
You'll find the dress! 💖
I ended up with the first dress I ever tried on. I tried on probably a total of 15 or so dresses. That beaded dress looks drop dead gorgeous on you!!!!
I was definitely like maggie! I tried some on and was so overwhelmed and picked one and then obsessed over photos later!
It was first & only for me!! I tried around 10 different dresses, all different styles to see what looks good on me. My chosen dress was 3rd one that I tried and after that, none of them were even close to that one, I felt really beautiful and comfortable in it 😍 I don't think it is necessarily "you'll know it" but you'll definitely start to imagine your self in it on my wedding day ✨ At least for me it was that way, but don't pressure yourself, you'll find it 🫶🏼
THE LAST ONE IS STUNNING AHHH!!
You're so prettyyy!!!
I had a covid wedding (pakistani wedding) so I needed a dress ASAP so I went to three bridal boutiques. Only tried on three per boutique and then decided on how heavy it was, how easy it was to walk in, how easy to take on and off. I took photos and videos of each dress. I look back on my dress in awe because it's just... perfect. It wasn't what I went in for and its completely right. (I wanted a two piece bridal dress which I quickly decided was too heavy to walk in).
I went to the first store and bought the second dress I tried, but I had an idea on what I wanted.. and luckily the one I wanted was perfect for me! Excited to see what you go with! The last one was spectacular 🤍
THAT LAST BEADED DRESS WAS EVERYTHING. HER SILHOUETTE WAS THE SHINING THROUGH SO GUDDDD
So excited for all the wedding content videos. All the dresses looked beautiful on you. From watching this I think may prefer a mermaid style dress with lots of sparkles and maybe off the shoulder sleeves.
I did three different appointments and tried on like.... 30 dresses. I spent days on pinterest honing down what I liked/disliked between appointments to be able to try styles I maybe wouldnt have. You really will know either right away or because you keep thinking about it. ❤ much luck and peace on your search! Remember to have fun too! ❤
The new intro 🤩 also are you having 2 dresses ceremony & then reception? 💛
Also for my wedding dress I cried lol 😆 and it was hard at first bc I had to really ask myself between which 2 I wanted & once I was asked which one I started crying lol 😂😭 so I was like oh okay this is it haha
I am a bride to be! I did three appointments all in one day and probably tried on between 6-8 at each and I ended up choosing the second dress I tried of the whole day 😅 Also photos helped me a TON. I loved certain dresses in the store but when I looked at photos I hated them and was able to easily eliminate 😂 I wouldn’t say I had the “when I knew, I knew” feeling. I just kinda kept thinking about that dress in comparison to other dresses throughout the day and loved the photos of it afterwards and just took the leap and got it!
I got married in 2022, went to three different bridal shops, tried about 30 dresses and as an incredibly indecisive person I did know when I found the dress. The question that helped me make my choice was “can you see yourself getting married in this, walking down the aisle to your future husband?” I knew I had found my dress when that question made me tear up. Good luck! So excited to go on this journey with you!
I got married last year too! I went to only one store, tried on the first dress and that was the one I chose... Even though I tried on almost 30 others between three total appointments, "just to make sure"🤣🤣🤣
That last dress with the “line” beading looks STUNNINGGGGGGG😮❤
This video is bringing me to tears cause I’ve been watching you since 2011 and it feels like one of my besties is getting married and I’m EMOTIONAL
Just got married in March!! My dress was kind of how I imagined my style to be but way more classic than I thought I was going to go with. I actually ended up going with the first dress that I ended up trying on out of 5-7 I think (on my first appt that I was just going “to look for fun” 😂) always remember that if you have one that almost fits your vision but not quite, there are a ton of alterations that can be done to make it perfect for you!! Think belts, more floof, etc! The when you know you know feeling is for sure the dress that makes you feel like a bride more than just wearing another pretty dress!!
My Mom literally bought the first wedding dress she saw and tried on in the shop. It fit perfectly and that pattern followed with shoes and accessories. It was a wild ride xD
I tried on around 15-20 dresses before I found my dress! I originally went it wanting a off the shoulder dress. I ended up loving an A-line dress with lots of flower details and glitter. It kinda of looked like the dress you tried on with the pearls and flowers with the straps. I loved a full skirt the volume just made me feel like a bride!
Yay Lauren, I'm so happy for you! ❤ I went to a small bridal store with an appointment and I agree, it was tough to find THE dress at the first store. Luckily, the sales associate recommended I go to their other location because they have more selection there. I went the same afternoon, and found my dress. I tried about 15 dresses between two stores. I didn't say yes the same day. I gave myself a week to see if I could find another one that's better... Once you love your dress, everything else doesn't have that same feel. My wedding is 8 days away!
The last dress was absolutely stunning!!! I was blown away!!
Definitely my fave
I loved every part of this video but the subtle moose kiss is my #1 fav - I went to 3 stores and I think I decided at the second place that I liked one from the first place lol can’t wait to see what you pick!
I had one appointment and tried on 6 before I found my dress. My person was VERY good a pinpointing what little changes needed to happen between each dress to find the right one!
