First of all thanx a lot for your appreciation. To make things easy .. i will give a thumb rule. The "fuel screw" in the YBR's carb works like - If rotated clockwise - makes mixture lean(more air & less fuel)
If rotated anti clockwise - makes mixture rich(more fuel & less air)
so if your fuel screw has 3 anti-clock rotations from the extreme leanest position , and u turn it even more anti-clock wise to 4 rotations will rich the mixture..hence u might get less mileage and more fuel consumption.

remove the 2 cap like things from the left hand engine covers ...one is the crank shaft accessing screw(big in the centre) and the small at the top left is to find the notch on fly wheel. Put a wrench in the crank shaft and rotatae it slowly till the notch on the flywheel inside matches with the notch on the small hole(after cap removed). Thats the TDC.

+Rukmangadhar Reddy Sounds to me like a bad tire or may be a bent chassis/ swing arm.
Try changing the tires if they are old.

i am currently having yahmah ybr G and for me it is very good from all 125 competitors, Apart from few issues which i am facing right now..
the biggest of all is that my YBR G is start missing around 90 to 100kmh..
..Missing issue is pretty odd it starts in 3rd gear at top acceleration and 4rth gear around 100 kmh..
but when i shifted to 5th gear its stop missing but speed max at 105 kmh..
i can't seem to figure out the problem, from where i live very few mechanic around for YBR..
what should i do, what seems to b the problem?

My ss 125 starts in one kick,but rpm slowly down in few sec and engine off , ,i tuned 2, 2.5 turns, but in 3 turns the the rpm will stable and the problem is solved, but the plug shows the rich mixture, reply plez.
Don't make it too rich. Keep it lean. It's carburettor engine it's supposed to behave like that in cold engine condition.

Hi there, I have a gladiator of 2012 and its mileage is good by 55 kmpl in a small city and 60+ in highways...... i enjoyed its performance.. but nowadays i am observing that bike pickup is dropped. I don't know the reason, is it because of Engine oil or something else is there, i have not cleaned the curborator since its purchase....... is this the cause for pickup drop.... please advise the solution..
Sir, i am also having a ss 125 , i thought that ur problem should be the first one is dust in carburator, second thing is engine oil, what is the oil u have to use, use 20w40 motul or gulf pride 20w40, or valvoline 20w/40, 3rd one is best, finally spark plug, check and clean.do the all above activities and say ur opinion.

i have a problem with my gladiator model:2009,after driving in traffic ,accelarator is not coming to idle.it is staying at (3000-4000)rpm .it is coming to idle position if i drive the bike without giving accelerator for 2 minutes then it is coming to idle.during this if i use the clutch to apply the front brake rpm is increasing to 7000. plssss suggest me wat to do.i hope u will
Looks like a faulty accelarator cable. And i think they cost like sumthing under 500rs.

There are few possibilities.
1. Accelerator cable is jammed.
2. Accelerator cable free play is not properly adjusted.
3. The mixture of the carburetor is too lean.
Start with replacing the accelerator cable .
the most important culprit in this case is the dying carb. If you adjust the air/fuel idle knob or clean the carb or change the throttle cable or air hose pipe and not working, its time to change the carburetor. Such non lowering rpm/throttle is dangerous during applying the brakes in trafiic. I strobgly suggest you to change the UCAL carb which costs around 3800inr. late reply though.
Check the accelator cable, is it ok , check the airfule screw, i thought that should be in lean point, do it, and say ur opinion.
Bhai mere pass bhi Yamaha Gladiator hai... 2008 model.. kuch mahino ke Baad hi bettary khaarab ho jata hai... Abhi toh start hi nahi hota.. 2 saal se ghar par pare hai... Kuch solutions hai aap ke pass?
Rewind kar lo 18 awg copper coil se. Fz ka 4 pin RR unit use kro. Kaam ho jayega.
What is Throttle position sensor?? why it is used in this bike ? next to fuel screw

Meri SS ka engine 1500 rpm per rehta h but jaise hi usko thodi der drive karlo then uska rpm automaticaly 4000 rpm tak badh jaata h ....as welll as bike missing b karti h what needs to be done now.
Check the airfule mixture, mostly it should be in leanest point.

my ss 125 is making detonation sound while clossing the throttle, so shall i tuned my carb as factory setting (2full turns) i make 21/2, 3, 3/.5, but sound is not stopped. 2 full turns is correct? reply plz
