Ps, I got the Carl Martin Compressor limiter a few days ago, it REALLY gets things closer to the sessions tone than my old Dynacomp, has a bit of the dbx vibe , very different.

So good! Gotta love emgs. I have them up close to the strings , at least the slvs. How do you set the heights?
About 3mm from the underside of the strings.. EMGs get a bad rep but to my mind they do something passives can't and are equally valid.
