    While researching for hardware to deploy my own LORA network in Dominican republic, found you here Christian... I'm following you since few years ago. Happy to see young dominican maker at this level. I'm an old Nerd still trying to learn a trick or two. Congrats

    I'm still confused. If we build a gateway, does it connect to other gateways to have longer range? I would just want a gateway and have a few devices to connect with.

      Gateways need to be connected to a LoRaWAN Network Server(LNS). They do not connect to one another directly (unless the network server is built-in on one of the gateways which is possible but not a common setup). If two gateways shares common LNS then it can expand the network coverage bigger as long as they are strategically deployed. You won't need to put two gateways close together unless there are dead spots that you want to cover that is not reached by the first gateway due to obstructions on signal.
