I just decluttered 68 things from my bathroom ! I didn't realize I had that many things taking up real estate in my drawers and cabinets. Thank you for this challenge.
I’ve been living minimal for 3 years and I would say bathroom clutter is usually my constant area that needs work. Here are some things I did along the way to help declutter. Any body lotion I purchased that I did not like, I put it in a mini refillable tube for my purse. Any face cream I did not like I did the same. Some body creams I just used up “before” I repurchased a new one. Yes, I have a body cream problem 🧴🙄🙈. Any face scrub I didn’t like I used on my feet or elbows. Any left over Vaseline or aquaphor I used on my feet with socks at night. So I slowly got rid of things. I have also committed to using up lipsticks & eyeshadows (within reasonable time) before I buy new ones. It’s lip gloss I have trouble tossing, but today I did…finally. 🎉 Carla, I can see during your journey you are using less as well. It becomes easier and easier to buy less & have less over time. I love this way of living 😊
I found 2 items to donate; 7 empty pill bottles, 1 unidentified liquid in a travel spray bottle, 10 lipsticks to toss; and 7 items for recycle bin, including 4 empty TP rolls LOL . . . so 27 items gone in my first babystep in tackling my bathroom! Thank you for this push, Carla. I will keep picking away at it today as my energy allows (chronic fatigue & pain person). God bless you! 🥰
The best advice I've heard for helping you let go of stuff is that you wasted the money when you purchased it- not when you let it go. It really helped me.
I legit thought I would have next to nothing to declutter. To my surprise I removed 26 items. Trash 12, recycle 6, donate 2 and 6 items for my nieces. Having a number (in this case 25) really helped me focus on getting things out of the bathroom. Thanks Carla!
I just came across these older videos…. I’m doing this challenge now, although my version is to pick one clutter area of the house and try to go top to bottom on it. And make decisions about what each drawer/baskets purpose is, so I have things like batteries and tools and “car stuff” that has only one location where those items live. At present almost all my drawers are a soup of items, and it’s random that my nightstand will have a screwdriver, tape measure, stapler or whatever in there…..and then I can never find those things when I need them…. So maybe I buy a second one. It makes me feel good to add organization and intent to my space, and knowing where to find (and put away) things.
I have two tiny, relatively pared down bathrooms, so I thought I wouldn’t have much. Don’t wear makeup, did a Declutter in summer. Well, it did take just 12 minutes, but I still hit 44 items!! Spent the rest of the time taking the actual trash cans out and I can’t believe it took only 15 minutes to make these rooms feel like new! 🎉
I went well pass 75...discard old makeup, curling irons, flat irons, etc! I Made space for things piling up on my counter. This made me so happy to see that trash bag!!!!
Wow, that was amazing! So many items you could remove from your bathroom. I don’t think I even have that many!? 😅 I’m pretty minimalistic, I have my routines and my products. I don’t do makeup other than mascara and one magic pen to cover some red spots. So I don’t buy anything like that and can’t pile on. Also I found it a very helpful tip to only buy a new item when I have to replace/renew an old one. I do the same with clothing and shoes. Helps you to stay organized and saves money, too! 😂
Hej sweet Carla, you can use your beloved perfume to fragrance/scent your home. For example put some drops of it on a cotton pad and put that in your closet. (Lay it, hang it or pinch it onto a clothes hanger.) Your clothes will smell nicely like it, but very decent/discreet. 😊
It really works.😊 No need of any other motivation, inspiration or watching any other video regarding this topic after following this. Any lazy person or person with any mindset can do this. Just change the state. Faking excitement, creating a good story for yourself that you deserve better and start the activity with Carla's simplest strategy of taking decision on every item whether to keep, donate or trash. Thank you Carla❤ lots of love to you. God bless you always 🙌🤗 I don't bother to comment on videos but today from inside something pushed me to so that anyone like me reading this comment will benefit.
Carla do you think you could now lose some of the storage in your bathroom? If you no longer needed the wooden stand, you'd have a bit more space... perhaps those nail bits and bobs would fit in the empty drawers of your acrylic makeup storage? Of course, you keep what you like and feel free to ignore me You're so smashing it!! 😍
Hi Carla It was fun decluttering with you today.I got ride of 10 items. This challenge gave me the push to tape and repaint the bathroom. Be well have a great day.
I live a quite minimalist life myself, one because I like it that way and it helps with my ADHD, and two because I live quite small; clutter is verrrrry visible. I thought I didnt have clutter in my bathroom + medicine/hair drawers in my bedroom, but yet I managed to find 27 things to discard of/empty! Isn't it amazing what weird little knickknacks we keep around???
Day one ✅ 33 items decluttered. I also found a few products that are almost empty. I left these next to the sink to be used up within the next few days.
I’m so glad you posted this. I was about to sit down, relax and watch RUclips and I saw your video and decided to declutter my bathroom while I watched! Decluttering is going to be a huge priority for me in the new year. I decluttered my bathroom several months ago, so I didn’t think I would find much, but I ended up filling a large plastic bag (larger than a grocery bag, but smaller than a tall kitchen bag)! I’ll definitely be following along on this series! Thanks for the motivation!
I hope all of our decluttering debris get disposed of properly. Clean out the remaining product and recycle the packaging, as much as your municipality allows. Return medications to pharmacies for disposal, dont flush them. Diverting stuff from landfills helps them not fill up as fast.
Awesome decluttering! Quick tip- I keep Sharpies when I throw away medication so that I can black out personal information. I also do this with my Amazon packages and boxes. Blessings!
I decluttered my bathroom back in October and I got rid of 15 items. Might not seem like a lot but over the past 2 years I've realized I had too many things that I didn't use. So now most things I get rid of are old medication/expired things and empty packages! It's a great feeling 😌
Watching you reminded me of my massive bathroom declutter before moving into my small condo three years ago. I only have a small medicine chest in the bathroom and one small shelf in the linen closet. Now, I only keep the items I use on a daily basis.
This was awesome! I decluttered two items 😂 In my defense, I moved a few weeks ago and before the move, I decluttered lots of bathroom items back then. I’m pretty happy with the state of my bathroom! It’s pretty minimal.
You did a great job but so did I! I don't have 25 items in my entire bathroom! (It's very small, and I have about a dozen items on a windowsill and maybe half a dozen by the sink. That's everything! None of it needs to be decluttered because I've not long moved here so things haven't had time to accumulate. Phew! I got a pass on this first task then! But it was worth watching to see your decision-making process - that's always what helps me on videos about decluttering. Thanks, Carla!
PS. When you say you can't handle wearing perfume, our skin changes as we get older (although I'm not at all sure you are old enough for that to be happening yet) so perfumes that worked for us at one time no longer do. I don't know if that's your issue with the perfume you love. What I've started doing is spraying a little perfume on my clothes instead of on my skin (because I was concerned about the change in my skin and also because I was concerned about perfume chemicals being absorbed into the body and bloodstream potentially). Maybe that's worth thinking about? I know they say that after a year a perfume will be "off" anyway, but when I've spent a lot of money on a gorgeous fragrance, I don't want to give it up either! So I compromise, LOL! Hope there's something there to help.
I’ve been trying to use up items, recycle the container where possible, and then be mindful about what I purchase. Takes time, but I’m making progress.
A few years ago, I completely streamlined my skin and bath care routines and products and gave up my habit of buying the latest and greatest thing. I've been good about maintaining it, so when I watched this last night I thought, there is no way I am going to find 25 things to declutter. This morning, I took five minutes while getting ready and much to my surprise was able to toss 10 items. Thanks for the motivation!
Hi Carla 😊 I love your videos. I struggle with depression and anxiety and sometimes it’s hard to get me to start something. I started watching got motivated and started decluttering my bathroom and medicines. I look forward to your videos. You break things down so I don’t get overwhelmed. Very calming to watch and listen to. Thank you ❤ Jennifer
Hey Carla - found 4 things in my bathroom to be donated and then decided to go through my OTC and supplements that I keep in a kitchen cabinet - 5 things for the trash! Removed 3 tchotchke type things from the half bath and made it look so much cleaner. 12 things gone - that was easy! Yay! you’re the best, Carla. Thanks for the inspo!❤️
I found 20 items to declutter, and one hair product to donate to my daughter.(oh and filled half my trash can additionally) This felt really good, thanks so much Carla🤗💜
You'd be proud of me I got rid of expired medicine and lip glosses I don't wear. The 6 month limit is awesome to remember because it's so true. If you haven't used it, chances are you won't. Thanks for the motivation. 😍
Hey there Carla. This was fun to watch AND DO! I cleaned out a lot in my small beauty care/medicine/ hair care rolling bin I keep in my closet. I got rid of at least 25 items...i think. At least it felt like it. Lol. Actually I just counted and it was 23 items. Not bad.
Day 1 declutter done. I don't keep alot of items in the bathroom but I did go through my bathroom and my boys bathroom. I also added the medicine cabinet, under the sink, and the storage for my hair and body toiletries. My makeup is it's own area so that's another day.
Decluttered 14 items, I'm pretty good at keeping the bathroom organized. Decided to challenge myself to 30 days of decluttering on my own Dec 1st and have been attacking cupboards and closets. Looking forward to learning some new tricks 😄
Yaaaay 😍 just what I needed. We stored so much senseless and old stuff at our bathroom. I trashed a lot more than 25 pieces 🙈 and will give some never used stuff to my friends.
@@TheCarlaProject I bet the kids around me will love some colorful stuff, too 🥰❤️ if the stuff is still ok, it’s fine to give it away. Awww, thank you, the little doggo is my princess, her name is Vida 🥰
THE AQIAFOR LUCERIN, is greeat to do deep moistiurizing on your hands or feet. slather it on and put white socks on and enjoy the benefits. I use socks on my hands too and do it while I sleep becasue I dont' have white gloves.
I hope you are doing well! I just did a bathroom de-clutter, which also included a shoe size bin of hair stuff in my closet. I'm glad that I found your channel and appreciate all of the amazing videos of yours that help motivate me to get rid of old and unused things (that I can donate or throw away). I don't want things to rot in my closet so this is a good way to watch creators like you who are more meaningful in ways of whether to keep things or not. It's good to get perspective and be realistic on things, but also keep things that serve a purpose or that are meaningful.
Yes!! It’s not doing anyone any good if it’s not being used. Get that stuff out and circulating in the world or at least into the bin (trash or recycle) lots of love!!💖
I decluttered 52 items today. I am goi g to go through my linen closet and I know I know I will have a lot more to declutter in there. Thanks for the challenge! Love your channel, I am always happy to see a new post from you.
Love it! I’m ruthless when it comes to bathroom clutter, too 😂. I’ve minimized the amount of makeup I use as well as skincare products. I use olive oil to deep condition my hair a few times a week, to remove eye makeup and moisturize my skin. Feels freeing to only bring in products I will use regularly. Saves money!!!! 🎉🙌🏽
Funny story, I spent like an hour the day before your upload doing a declutter & deep clean of my bathroom.. mostly expired medicine and empty boxes for some reason lol. Definitely a good idea to toss products/ items when you realize they don't work for you instead of letting them die in your cabinet 😩
If something is expensive, people will often buy it, even if open as long as it isn’t expired. I like to offer my decluttered makeup and skincare items to friends or on a buy nothing group. Sometimes people want it to test new products and others like to upcycle it, like make eyeshadow/blush powders into nail polish or watercolor paint.
Yes agree!! The the only thing is for this challenge. I want to keep things simple to encourage people to follow through and finish. Posting in buy nothing and coordinating for someone to pick up. It’s just beyond the band with a lot of us have this month. I put it in a free box by the trash and it’s gone! But overall absolutely love buy nothing groups!!
Yes! I’m just getting started on these vids. Thank you 🙏 this is so helpful decluttering room by room with a friend! I hope this is at least an annual event!
I was inspired by one of your past declutter videos a few months ago - declutter 50 things. And inspired again! I can absolutely relate to the struggle to let expensive items go. Thanks for the great content.
That was great! My bathroom is pretty minimal. Maybe 25 items if we group in my roommates and the cleaning supplies. But I did reorganize looking for anything!
I have that same round pale green rug in my bathroom, from World Market? I know what you mean about hanging onto that $80 mask product. I got talked into buying some VERY expensive skin care products after a quick demo at a kiosk in a mall awhile ago. I still have it and will definitely use it until it's all gone. 🤑🤑🤑 After such buyer's remorse, I am very aggressive now in saying "NO THANK YOU!!" when I'm approached by any high-pressure sales people. Perfume: I am hanging on to an Avon perfume called "Elusive." I loved it so much, I stocked up on it in the 1970s. I then worked in a hospital for 20 years and we were prohibited from wearing any fragrances. Fast forward through COVID and now I'm retired. The perfume is still good! I just spray one squirt into the air and walk through it after my shower and before dressing, and I've received compliments So glad I hung onto it. Okay, enough procrastination. Heading into my bathroom to declutter now!
Yes Jody - i’m with you on the fragrances! But I never really got into them, ‘cause I can’t wear them at work (in the OR). Always so aware of patients’ sensitivities to fragrances, so I don’t wear them during office hours either.
Yeah, this drunk elephant facemask was on everyone’s must have list and I demoed it and it was amazing. I barely have the discipline to do my normal skin routine so to add a mask in once a week is asking a lot. But I will definitely use this! You totally understand!! Good call on saving your fave perfume!😍
I lost count but did at least 25!! And I literally went through it less than 2 months ago and decluttered a lot then too 🤯 I think skincare etc is hard as you can't often try before you buy and then friends etc rarely have the same skin type/ tastes as you...I hate wasting things but also no point holding onto them either!!! Xx
I just did a huge bathroom declutter getting ready for company at thanksgiving. So I really started this thinking I’d only have a couple of things to purge. Lemme tell ya… that was not the case. I didn’t count them but there were still many items that really didn’t need to be hanging around looking lonely in the shower, under the sink etc. and you inspired me to finally get rid of the microneedle thingy that I bought for no apparent reason in a weak moment a few years ago. It seriously looks like a medieval medical device. And it is now in the trash. ❤
I've been downsizing and decluttering for almost a year and thought FOR SURE I wouldn't have much. But sure enough, I found 15 items to trash/donate from my bathroom. Thanks for the nudge :)
I didn't really count, I was on such a roll with decluttering! 😂 I estimate that I got rid of around 35 things, and everything just fits better in my bathroom. Thank you for this challenge, Carla! 😁
Since i have recently moved to Norway there wasn’t much to declutter in my bathroom; however, I could clear it a bit and that’s satisfying! I am looking forward to the next challenge!!!
Great job!! I decluttered my bathroom a couple of weeks ago and was able to let go of a lot more than I thought. I didn’t count my items, but it was enough to feel like a win! I’m pretty minimalistic in my bathroom, so a few decluttered items go a long ways for me
Carla, you totally rock! You made me laugh 😂 so much as I recognized myself in so many of your videos. Keep that perfume and smile 😊 every time you look at it.
I forgot I signed up to the challenge but 15 minutes is such a short amount of time that it fit my schedule! I couldn't count how many items I got rid of because some of the things were moldy. I got rid of a lot I can promise you that. Now I have a small basket full of our bathroom stuff and that's it. That combines me my dog and my partner. Feeling very accomplished. Can't wait for the next one! Thanks!
I lost count of the number of items I decluttered, but somewhere around 50 as well as almost 15 that were moved to a more appropriate place. (Why I was keeping certain batteries in the bathroom idk because I always go to the battery bin when I need some) What is crazy os that I just reorganized my bathroom 3 weeks ago and though I had decluttered then. This time I made sure to touch every item like you do and was able to get rid of so much more
I am OBSESSED with your shower curtain, it's so beautiful! I definitely need a bathroom clearout, we only have one tiny cabinet of storage and it is stuffed full, so I end up barely using any of the things in there 💀
I grabbed 11 items, had to dig deep since I recently decluttered. I am not sure why I kept 2 face masks that were gifts from years back with pretty packaging , now brittle and useless lol. Thanks for the challenge!
I just decluttered 68 things from my bathroom ! I didn't realize I had that many things taking up real estate in my drawers and cabinets. Thank you for this challenge.
Damn girl you rock!! 68 items AMAZING!!!💖
Great job! So proud of you!
Wow!!!

Well done Jody bravo 👏🏾 feels good right!! All those little things add up quick!💖
Lol! I love those unidentified liquids in travel containers! 😆 my last one I thought it was lotion, but it was thick sunscreen!
I barely have 25 items in the bathroom so nothing to declutter but I love when you post often and fun videos like this! 💞
When I grow up, I want to be like you!
Love the simplicity! Inspired!!
My thought exactly, although I have more than 25 things since my kids still have bath toys.
Same..
I donate gently used items that I dont love to the neighborhood Little pantries.
I've heard that sunscreens are Especially appreciated.
The best advice I've heard for helping you let go of stuff is that you wasted the money when you purchased it- not when you let it go. It really helped me.
Honestly addicted to your channel, so glad the algo recommended you!

That small room and you got rid of that much. You were brutal and I am completely here for it. Congratulations, great job 😊
thank you!😍❤️
I love saying ‘brutal’ but that’s how one has to be when decluttering or asking for advice on this and that. 😀
Whoa! This process is so revealing to me! I’m not at all living up to what I say I want for myself. Time to declutter and curate my life.
It is sooooo satisfying to hear those items clunk into the bin. 🎉
First pass through the bathroom: 25 items I will do a second pass when the cat goes back to sleep; she was very interested in the decluttering.
😸
So cute!😍
Day one ✅
33 items decluttered. I also found a few products that are almost empty. I left these next to the sink to be used up within the next few days.

I did a bathroom declutter a while ago with my mom. I got rid of so many stuff I could even get rid of an extra cabinet which means more space!
That's wonderful!
Amazing such a great feeling!!

Wowwww, you did great!
I haven't washed my makeup brushes in a long time. I just keep buying more. Maybe it's time to wash them all then declutter a bunch
you know what time it is! 😍
I just want to chime in that if they’re in good condition, you can donate the ones you declutter to Project Beauty Share😀
Hi Carla! I decluttered 33 items from the bathroom today. This is going to be fun!!
YES!! Success!!!

Oh my gosh you found things Susan wow!! Nice refresh 😍🥰
Wow! You got rid of so much more than 25 items. Cant wait for tomorrow❤
I love this new series. This is gonna relieve lots of people’s minds! Brings a feeling of freedom.
I love the thought of anything in the bathroom should be used up in 6 months! I will have to report back after I go declutter.
Great!!! I will do this today! BTW Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack takes empty and cleaned beauty bottles/make up things for recycling =)
Yep, need to really clean my bathroom, including the decluttering. Always hard. Thanks for the walk-through of your method.
I found 20 items to declutter, and one hair product to donate to my daughter.(oh and filled half my trash can additionally) This felt really good, thanks so much Carla🤗💜

Yay Carly!! Yes six months for bathroom is very accurate!!💖💖
Decluttered 25 items from my bathroom. Feels good to start. Thanks!
Not bad.
WOW, Glad to see your progress which motivates me to continue to keep it simple and real easy.
thanks so much ❤️❤️
For small burns I open up an aloe Vera leaf & put a little on it, & it really works!
totally!
The best you can get
Day 1 declutter done. I don't keep alot of items in the bathroom but I did go through my bathroom and my boys bathroom. I also added the medicine cabinet, under the sink, and the storage for my hair and body toiletries. My makeup is it's own area so that's another day.
You glow gurl! I love your decision process: I don't like how it smells, trash it.
I am constantly decluttering my bathroom! I loved watching you do yours! I know you feel better after all that you decluttered.
Hey Carla! I had just done a bathroom declutter, but with your challenge, I found 17 more items! That was fun, thank you
It’s surprising right!! Well done!!
I'm already pretty minimal, however these challenges help to have a closer look. I managed to get rid of 2 things so I'm happy with that! Thank you!
I love that quick decluttering 👍👍👍💚🤍❤️
Decluttered 14 items, I'm pretty good at keeping the bathroom organized. Decided to challenge myself to 30 days of decluttering on my own Dec 1st and have been attacking cupboards and closets. Looking forward to learning some new tricks 😄
Yaaaay 😍 just what I needed. We stored so much senseless and old stuff at our bathroom. I trashed a lot more than 25 pieces 🙈 and will give some never used stuff to my friends.
Yay! Great idea for friend regifts. My niece will
Love my used once fenty lipgloss. Who is that cutie in your photo!!😍😍😍
@@TheCarlaProject I bet the kids around me will love some colorful stuff, too 🥰❤️ if the stuff is still ok, it’s fine to give it away.
Awww, thank you, the little doggo is my princess, her name is Vida 🥰
I always get so excited when you upload, you've done a great job today! Loved every minute of the video!
Thanks love!!
I love the video, but also feel bad for the trash, so much waste.. do you recycle plastic containers??
Thanks Carla. Funny thing is I did this yesterday 😀. I will follow the rest the rest of the week. 👍🏽
I only had five things. My bathroom is easy for me to keep up with.
Love!!!
That was great! My bathroom is pretty minimal. Maybe 25 items if we group in my roommates and the cleaning supplies. But I did reorganize looking for anything!
love your minimalist vibes...always good to get reacquainted with your things with some organizing too ❤️
This was interesting! I did it 2 months ago in the bathroom, but I'll try again this week and see if I can reach 25 items.
If you need to get rid of prescription meds, most CVS stores have a locked bin where you can dump them.
Great to know thank you!
I went through all the samples and old make up that I shouldn't have because I rarely wear any ever. Tossed 57 things
GIRL, YESSSS!!! byeeeeee!!!
I'm heading up to the bathroom now to go through my toiletries!
Yes!! Lmk if you get 25 items out!
@@TheCarlaProject Just 4 😀 But it was in pretty good order to begin with... ks
Inspiring, Karla. Yiuve come such a long way, girl! 🎉 Brava!
I decluttered a huge bag of trash and recycling from 2 bathrooms. Thank you for the inspiration 💕
Xx
Very good motivation for me to do the same ! Thanks fellow LA girl.
Heyyyy LA girlie!!
Very motivating!! Doing this tonight
YAY!!
I decluttered my bathroom while watching this!! So helpful and thanks for the motivation!!
I didn't really count, I was on such a roll with decluttering! 😂 I estimate that I got rid of around 35 things, and everything just fits better in my bathroom. Thank you for this challenge, Carla! 😁
I got my bathroom done while watching you get yours done. I didn't have a lot but still feels better! Mine is already pretty minimal.
Yay us!!!
I’m pretty minimalistic in my bathroom, so a few decluttered items go a long ways for me
satisfying i bet!❤️
Carla, you totally rock! You made me laugh 😂 so much as I recognized myself in so many of your videos. Keep that perfume and smile 😊 every time you look at it.
hahah thank you!!❤️
Hi loved this you did fantastic ❤
I forgot I signed up to the challenge but 15 minutes is such a short amount of time that it fit my schedule! I couldn't count how many items I got rid of because some of the things were moldy. I got rid of a lot I can promise you that. Now I have a small basket full of our bathroom stuff and that's it. That combines me my dog and my partner. Feeling very accomplished. Can't wait for the next one! Thanks!
woohoo well done i love it!!
I definitely need a bathroom clearout, we only have one tiny cabinet of storage and it is stuffed full, so I end up barely using any of the things in there 💀
It’s from Anthropologie! Take the challenge girl 15 minutes 25 items you can do it!!
I grabbed 11 items, had to dig deep since I recently decluttered. I am not sure why I kept 2 face masks that were gifts from years back with pretty packaging , now brittle and useless lol. Thanks for the challenge!
28 Items 🥳
Party time woot woot 🥳🥳
Awesome job!! I need to do this! Thanks for being it up💜
YES! it's a quick thing with a big impact!❤️
I like the one nail polish color you have! So pretty! I only have about 5, but they’re mainly summer colors
sound lovely!!
