@@dhodgkins1981 Pretty sure Emergency vehicles (only when responding to an emergency and with lights and siren) are allowed to disregard all traffic lights, as long as the intersection is clear.
As an EMT or paramedic you are not allowed to stop even if the patient seems like they are already dead and they are not breathing you are not allowed to stop secondly why didn't they shocked her to get her heart going. I mentioned this because this is even taught to hear to kids who are learning first aid. And I don't think this is like 10 years old.
15:13 you can see that 81 would have had the red light and 66 definitely had the green. The side shot of 81 getting t-boned shows a red light for a fraction of a second from 66s street... and when 81 stops moving shows a green light for their street and direction of travel.
In the Let it Burn clip those paramedics wouldnt have stopped cpr and had a cry over it, its not their call to make, they should have continued the cpr until the hospital. People can be revived from being on worked on for 30 mins to even an hour, giving up like that and having a cry guanteened that womens death. Also where the hell is the Paramedics defib? We had a basic portable defib at work that we were trained on in cpr training, no way a well equiped ambulance wouldnt have one, Idk maybe they don't in the USA that just seem really dumb to me, they cost like $1500 for AED portable one.
I don't think it was a shockable rhythm, since the patient went completely flatline. However the bad CPR that she gave up on way too soon did indeed guarantee her death

@@Zinix999 Not to mention the gloves the paramedics have on in the first clip, they even have them on when driving the car and as they remove the seatbelt and step out and open the door in the back to take the gurney out. I am pretty sure the steering wheel, the seatbelt and for sure the back door that every living human could have touched would not be sterile. So the gloves would be pretty much useless after that to protect the patient from infection.
the CPR is going to nothing for the blood loss from GSW, you cant pump blood if its on the guerney. also you dont shock a flatline, you need epinephrine, which boosts bloodflow when she has a bleeding GSW. TL:DR too much potential blood loss.
Why would you open the backdoors of the ambulance on someone giving birth. Like arn't you meant to give her some privacy and decency? Like she closed the doors, and then opened them again...
Also one of the first things they teach you is if you have to cross the line in order to get your ambulance cuz there's traffic in what have you you have to cross the line or go on the sidewalk to get to your patient as fast as possible to the hospital you do that however is at any point you see that you might have an accident cuz people are crazy on the road you had better make sure you're on your side of the road just in case. What happened in this case is both both both fire trucks were heading at the same time using the same road and as will usually happen one was going very fast and one had already slowed down to some degree and one hit the other I don't think they were expecting another fire truck taking the same route as them I have to ask this question don't they have somebody who keeps track of what route each truck is taking.

And also, plz if you do finally post PD, post smth new, from old, rare episodes we don't see often because all One Chicago channels have this tendency to post the same clips, from the same episodes over and over again! yet you have so many episodes, and so many great action scenes to choose from, especially from PD!

Because a defib shock doesn't restart a heartbeat.... it actually stops it so it can restart itself hopefully in the right rythm

Cpr in shoes hurts my brain. Literally no force on the compressions ever and they always get saved on a first shock.
If they use the actual amount of force that it is suposed to be used in CPR, they would kill the actor. Every show has to pretend that way.
