This was awesome to watch. Thank you. I used to build my own, and for my friends, speaker boxes. Over 35 years ago. This has inspired me to build again!
Ideally, the placement of tweeters is at the widest extreme possible. This helps separate the two channels to create a wide stereo field. This is why old boom boxes always have them on the outside edge.

Yes you are correct but in the end it's not wide enough anyway to matter really. It should really have the compartments divided and the airspace calculated too, but it's a boom box not an audiophile device. Solid end result! Odd method to how you got there though. All that nice work with layout and soldering, only to mount all the components with tape and silicone. SO MUCH SILICONE. For anyone considering a build similar to this, you can make it a lot easier on yourself by cutting the speaker holes before cabinet assembly and by using a commonly available 12v DC adapter instead of the battery/BMS setup. Which means minimal soldering if any at all. Then you can spend the money you saved on a more powerful class D amp board, because those all-in-one android headunits don't put out much power at all.

LOL. Nothing wrong with 8ohms. My sennheiser headphones are 300 ohms for a reason. The trade off with lowering ohms is quality (generally speaking). And you will not hear stereo because the tweeters are 12 inches apart instead of 6. Stereo is overrated anyway.
@@urwholefamilydied 4-ohms are more efficient, thus longer battery life. Your headphones are working in milliwatts so you don't blow out your eardrums. And why would you invest in a premium headphone manufacturer if you weren't looking to hear the work put in by the audio recording engineer?
You have that backwards, while you can get more power out of an audio circuit with lower impedance speakers, it's more efficient and far less taxing on the audio circuit to use higher impedance speakers.
@@urwholefamilydied who cares about headphones impedance?? Talking about lowering the impedance, it is not lowering the quality. There are thousands of dolars hi-end systems on 2 ohm each cabinet..
@@keepingdistance4404 the efficiency doesn't come from impedance and, if they were 4 ohms the amplifier would have a lower efficiency and draw more current, so less battery life

Very nice. I had thought about making one of these myself but I was going to use a pc power supply. I like your idea much better. Great job, excellent build quality!
Using a tablet? That's cringe dude. Also if you are doing that then just get a iPod dock. You build something like this to make a cool portable boombox for car stereos.
ME : Going to home depot feeling excited getting the wood and all the equipment needed for this project. Then got home and starting to cut the wood and start making the housing. NEXT DAY... ME : going to bestbuy.
I started the video thinking, I could build this. Once the wiring came into play...I thought damn...I could build this but I can’t wire all that shit! 🤣
That happened to me yesterday with my old laptop screen converted to a portable TV project. Everything was fine until I secured the cables with hot glue which melted through some cheap wire shielding and fused two wires. Took me half an hour to find where it happened plus more time to replace those two wires. All is well again.
When there is a damper in it, the bass bass is better, and for the front side, it is made a bit round, more beautiful and good for sure,No contact, all made slightly rounded front side
Buen trabajo. Thank you very much

@@keepingdistance4404 the efficiency doesn't come from impedance and, if they were 4 ohms the amplifier would have a lower efficiency and draw more current, so less battery life
Incredible build mate but the choice of genre at the end was incredible. blow some METAL and Dubstep through it. Awesome work though!!
That's really cool and I'm gonna watch this so hard, knowing that I'll never make this
St3ve_frog Tuhiri haha me too!
Which is so sad.
Exactly 🤣🤣🤣
Its nice one bro, because way back 2 decades I've also assemble a simple radio for our project in school. But now I lost my skills in the same field...hehe
Very nice. I had thought about making one of these myself but I was going to use a pc power supply. I like your idea much better. Great job, excellent build quality!
thanks

Honestly this is a great idea and well designed. Gonna subscribe now.
Me (before video starts): I'm about to build a bluetooth boombox. 😁💪🏽💯
Me (1 min into this video): I'm about to buy a bluetooth boombox. 😬😬😬
Kyle Hayden too funny Kyle
Me: still searching to buy a homemamde boombox :)))
im still gonna build one but way easier
thats pretty cool, never thought about getting a double din head unit for a potable setup before.
Way cool
Oi Bom dia
@just me still need an amplifier :)
Mantap Bang
Don't go to best buy and buy any of their audio garbage lol
I'm blown away on your skills to build this awesomeness 👌
that was the cleanest build ive seen im following you now
Awesome boombox, groovy selection tracks.
this is fantastic....i know what I'm doing while I'm stuck in the house due to covid-19

I'm not gonna do this 😂😂.. But it's cool watching you building this 🔥💥👌
Going to have to attempt putting one of these together. Love the setup. Simple and clean as well, nice work!!
thanks

Working as an auto mechanic this would be great to have in the shop.

I started the video thinking, I could build this.
Once the wiring came into play...I thought damn...I could build this but I can’t wire all that shit! 🤣
Yeah. Same here, my 100% enthusiasm to build a box deteriorated to only 5% when wirings came in. 😁😂
@Mr. Poopybutthole i'll try it, one of these days. Thanks.
Yes you can
Dummy people away from this! But it is simple!

I just remembered my project when it doesn't played at the end of gluing everything..😂😂
So Sorry for that . U deserve Not this
Rudra 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That happened to me yesterday with my old laptop screen converted to a portable TV project. Everything was fine until I secured the cables with hot glue which melted through some cheap wire shielding and fused two wires. Took me half an hour to find where it happened plus more time to replace those two wires. All is well again.
That’s just how boss he is with electronics, he never makes mistakes.... 😏
When there is a damper in it, the bass bass is better, and for the front side, it is made a bit round, more beautiful and good for sure,No contact, all made slightly rounded front side
Buen trabajo. Thank you very much

Greetings: I have done many a projects such as this since the 80s. I can build with more versatility, quality and durability than what is offered 2 consumers. I commend a fair job done here. Thumbs up.
