    Can I know why iron deficiency anaemia is categorised under blood loss instead of underproduction?

  • @lorisanchez5732
    @lorisanchez5732 2 года назад

    Acute blood loss is around 12:3 sometimes. So, it’s not around like the usual but people may hear it on the news

    Why is Reticulocyte index decreased in Acute blood loss? As you mentioned in your video 1:11
    Shouldn’t it be increased??

    • @MedicosisPerfectionalis
      @MedicosisPerfectionalis  5 лет назад +1

      In acute blood loss, the bone marrow doesn’t act that fast. So, reticulocyte index is < 2.5%

    What about blood loss from a lost pregnancy? I never fully recovered from it and blood test shows anemia. I had a blood transfusion during one of my major bleedouts, but still didn't fully heal. My periods are really painful and heavy. A tampon that should last up to 8hrs lasts me not even 20mins during the first few days of my period. And if I move the wrong way while say picking something up, I feel a pain and I start bleeding again.. I want nothing more than to finally heal from this and live again

      Join the club... I had menstruation that started on 1st august and it lasted until 8th november, with a lot of blood, tampons were not working, i had my husband to buy batches of cotton. On 8th november i was started feeling dizzy, I went to the gynecologist, she said it was a menstruation that didnt clear correctly, the body was still trying to push it out. She told me to take vitamins, iron supplements and something called Clorocalcin. I feel better since I take them but Im not healed yet. I still feel weak.Oh and she gave me Duphaston (which is progesteron hormone, for the body to be able to push out the menstruation and it worked, it finally stopped.)

    I always have this question in my mind that why do females have anemia during MC ? And the blood they lose from the uterus was already excess of their bodies and was formed only to supply the baby ...😶🤔
