- In this video i install a black dashboard on my infiniti g20. If you are going to attempt to do this keep in mind that you will need a Tamper proof T50 star bit to remove the air bag. Also the plastics are very fragile and can easily break so take your time. After removing the bolts in the defroster, was it easy to pull the dash? Any tricks to remove?
John Parc it was kinda tricky to get it out just make sure all bolts are removed before you start pulling hard. You need to raise the dash upwards a little and then pull

I'm currently in the process of removing my dash from the same car and man is it frustrating. Especially the bolt at the top of the dashboard on the driver's side...
This would have been so helpful when I was replacing mine 😂 I almost made a video since I couldn’t find one on RUclips. Those T50 bolts are a pain without power tools. I also broke my defrost vents so I need new ones. Best part of this project was I got my replacement dash for $16 at the local part yard 😅

ERICSDIYGARAGE Yeah I couldn’t believe the price when they told me. I didn’t need the airbag though (those are like $50). It’s a good thing you bought that set because you’ll need the T50 to get the steering wheel off.
+xWR3KTx yeah I didn't get the airbag because of that, I didn't know that thanks for the input I need to get a back steering wheel or maybe I can make my own like Chris fix lol
ERICSDIYGARAGE you’ll also need a 17mm socket for the steering column nut 😎 I waited for a while and eventually found a really nice stock steering wheel at one of the yards for like $13. The ChrisFix method looks like a real pain in my opinion 🙁 I would just wait until a black steering wheel comes up. I’ll keep my eyes out for one for you 👍🏻

+DieselGuy Dave the knock sensor it's not to bad I think it's a 12mm that you need to remove it, if I ever get a chance I'll make one, idk how to remove the sunroof track I hear it's hard tho
