meowth has been more of an (i'm not sure if this is the best wording) explainer? translator? interpreter? he's been there to explain to the audience (and human) in the show) the logic and thought of pokemon. he's an interesting character to say the least, as you could even consider his own individuality to make him almost human, but that being said i find him more of a pokemon trying to portray himself as the bad guy, than a stand alone character. he uses his intelligent and humanity to purposely play a bad guy even if he's not good at it. i find james out shine him, but i find these two have as much class, and background story to make them likable, but considering they're portray shortly and even die... i can say they have a greater impact than the team rockets just because they're not overly used or portrayed.
the key to beat the game so easily is, get an Harpy, evolve her to a Fenia with an Arcanum Wings statue, Fenia has the most a.atk base but you know maker her evolve with the same recipe to grow a.atk mostly, just save the game before you cook and see which recipe does it, and load to doing it well after you know which one is the correct. She learns tons of fire movs, heals, revive etc and if you go to the coliseum and steal an item to the final fight, the demon Vroom you can obtain the Meteor Swam book, use it on the Fenia and boom, the most powerful pet and supportive one is by your side.
I had a level 54 Emil a level 53 marta and level 90+ monsters, yet I still had trouble. And I spent around and hour leveling them up in the colosseum before that because I only had them in the 40s.
Aww that ending was so sad! I absolutely HATED both of them but still I can't help but feeling bad for them. I wish that the people who made the tales of series can make like some sort of game where the main characters are Decus and Alice. I think it would be interesting to see their point of views and be a villain for once for a change lmao. Who agrees???
+Maya Amano Indeed. Thats why you can actually use Alice in the wii version. Because they left her playable profile in the game unused. However with some tricks you can access to it and actually play as Alice. It can be done too with Decus but it will oftenly crash the game (his profile is not complete). Also, one of the game artists confessed that he did 5 swimsuits that were never included in the game. He never said for which characters but people think that they were meant for Marta, Emil, Richter, Alice, and Decus, that along Tenebrae were meant to be playable. (is unknown if Alice and Decus were meant to be part of the main cast or just temporaly playable characters like Asch in ToA) At least we have Alice&Decus official novel and manga (and a lot of merchandaising and recurrent aparitions in 'Viva tales of Magazine' or movil games)... For being villains they got a pretty good deal :)

I'd say they had their own agendas if it meant being on the top, looking down on people who treated them badly since they were kids. Alice would surely do it to make it happen, with Decus following her straight to hell to help her realize her goals.

The artes are all listed on the banner at the top of the screen as they are being performed. Can't remember all the skills I had turned on, but I know I had Sky Combo 1 and 2, Sky Attack 1 and 2, Add Combo 1, Special, and Tenebrae for Emil.
The best way to win this battle is to take Alice out first. Once you get her health low enough, she will do nothing but try to heal herself and leaves herself wide open!
Have the skill "Special" equipped (Emil and Marta get it at level 30; the old cast get it after the Temple of Ice) and hold B after any arcane arte or high tier spell with a full unison gauge.
I hope they make another game. when i heard of a sequel to the first tales of symphonia i thought it was going to be a game centering around kratos, mithos, yuan, and martel. I liked this game however I found that some parts just seem to go too fast.

That would be too simple minded. In japan they tend to create more tridimensional characters and being a villain is not a reason to be hated. Just look at the comments here and you will see a lot of people who like her. (Alice's parent's were brutally murdered infront of her when she was 6 and she was abused in the orphanage for being a half-elf for example, this is explained with more detail in the game in optional events). However even if someone hates her, they shouldn't spread lies about the character. Some people might like what others hate (look at me for example, I like Alice) and they will annoy/hurt those people because they provably feel some sort of empathy for that character others hate. However if anyone still insist in spread their hate, at least they souldn't lie. There is a character is specially dislike in this game but I keep that for myself because I don't want nor I need to offend people who might like that character. It's called being polite and it's free.
@mangafreak soz i accidently marked your comment as spam, anyways, i beat this battle at lvl 45 with 1 monster at lvl 55 and one at lvl 50, when i beat the game my best monster was at lvl 76 i was lvl 51, and my other monster stayed at 50 (maxed) and i got to keep my monsters, because i used the grade thingy, pretty awesome

She just never reciprocate her feelings in him until after he was killed. If they really loved each other, that was all they needed. They didn't need power, they just needed each other. you have to make a pact with them or get a Harrpy(human ranch) or a Siren at this place in the vid then evolve to a Furi then equipe Arcanum Wings statue equipped at level 35 then when it does the whole its itching to evolve thing the Fenia should be there
yeah its only active after you perform it in the cutscene against richter and is no longer available after ratatosk is sealed by verius for the rest of the game.
For me this was the hardest fight in the whole game. Cleared this game few days ago and got killed by these multiple times. It's pretty sad that the stragegies you can give to AI in this game is way worse than it was in Tales of Symphonia, so it was pain in the arse to get Emil attack Alice while I was healing as Marta >_> Maybe I'll try to using lure skill next time...

I like this. No final pretenses of mercy or forgiveness or acceptance or understanding. Just executing a couple of monsters as they deserve.

It's an option under the shop menu. You'll need to collect all the necessary items required for the synthesis of the sword before you can create it.

The Echo Tracer is relatively weak ( 218 P. Attack vs the Demonic Torment's 384 P. Attack).
