❗❗Hello! For anyone who is watching this video, I've missed out a VERY important point as to why non toxic resin is actually still pretty toxic. And here's why:
Part A of your resin is actually resin itself,
Part B of your resin is actually a hardener.
Both parts CAN be non-toxic if a company decides to put in proper research when manufacturing them BUT as you mix Part A and Part B together thats when it will produce toxic chemicals into your surroundings. X hope this video helps you ❤

I'm still not sure it was the resin that caused your allergic reaction. Did you remain gloved the entire time you worked with it? Did you clean up all smears and spills? Did you leave any unfinished cured projects around or accidentally touch one of your opened bottles without gloves on? The thing about allergic reactions is they take place almost instantly after you've come in contact with them. It doesn't make since that you would have an allergic reaction months later.

Thanks to so many people online talking about the dangers of resin, I made sure to gradually buy all of the safety gear needed to start. I do all of my resin projects outside on my front porch (with a mask that filters harmful vapors as well as other safety gear) because I worry about my health and my cat's tiny lungs. Thank you for spreading the word and keeping everyone safe!

Lorraine: Hi Ayyriel Thank you so much for putting out this very honest video about epoxy resin. I'm grateful that I saw your video and others before I actually started to use it. Then the next day I returned this product to the store. It should be a video that scares people because only then will they realize that it's not a good idea at all to be using very dangerous toxins unless one absolutely has all the protective gear. Even then, I'm not so sure that I would use it after seeing the results of what has happened to people after using it. Thank you so much again for your very informative video!

I am a resin beginner and only plan to use it for a very specific project (casting flowers from my son's wedding). Before hearing all the warnings, I was considering possibly selling but the risks just seem too great. I have a propensity for skin allergies already, so using resin sounds like eventually it may not be a great idea for me in the long term. Thank you for all the useful information.

Most reputable crafters do actually say to do as they do, and wear a respirator & gloves and have proper ventilation. Some resin does not smell, and is listed as non-toxic but you should always treat it as toxic as our skin is absorbent. I suffer from psoriasis so I can appreciate what she is saying here - the itching is maddening.

I have done some resin work, and I have quite a few molds. I haven't done it more than once or twice since they changed my balcony door and I got my cat. I am on the seventh floor in a small efficiency apartment with a small balcony, and the new door has no screen. I can't risk my cat getting out on a seventh floor balcony, so I can't open the door without locking my cat in the bathroom or his cage. I can't lock him up for very long at any given time...so, I have not really been able to do anything. Also, nothing in this apartment is level. I have quite a few molds, and I want to get back into making things with the molds, but I am looking for substitutes for resin that will come out hard and not brittle or crumbling. I am thinking about cement or concrete as one option, but I can't figure out what is the best kind to use for molds. I want it as white as possible, and I want something that already has all the necessary components in it, to harden and hold it together. There may also be other options. I guess plaster of Paris might works, but it strikes me as being rather brittle and crumbly when it it dry. Maybe an additive like glue will help, though. I don't know which would be the right kind, though. Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.
