My view was intended to be a first impression, not a review I said as much in the video. Because the game will not connect to the servers for me I can not get any further than the tutorial.
Then why did I get the impression it was review off the title and the thumb nail ? I watch your video all the way to the end its defiantly a review video based on your limited playtime.
Your video worked just as well, even if we considered it a a review. Watching it I was like: "oh yeah, this bug" and "oh, yeah, that bug" and "oh, yeah, it took me years to understand why this happens even if you block" and "but in the costume creation we live and die by the parts clipping, otherwise it would just look like stacking clothes one on top of another" and "it is not really like that, but I can see how that impression can be formed" Given that, sadly, many of the game's shortcomings are left for the community to resolve them, have you found out the login issue? I'm quite curious about this tbh. has it had given you any feedback when unable to login?
@@80sgamer76 what is your excuse? the game really needs some issues fixed, we need as many voices to express that, but you are too glued to your rose tinted glasses to do that? It needs fixing, not changing, cause it has the merits to keep people, even without the DCUO constant influx of updates. Cause it only bleeds players now and any new braves will meet the same wall and turn away. YOU hate the game, and want no one new joining this community with this attitute
will repeat here as well. That vid, although just a first impression, did highlight many, way too familiar, issues. Game has indeed practically been in maintenance for a decade now, last time it got anything approximating new content was like 2 to 3 years ago? and it was a couple of quest chains. Before that, what was it? an instance that most of the playerbase hated? Player movement is not clunky just for today's standards, have been hearing that complaint for a decade now. Blocking has too many peculiarities and easy to miss parts, so it does seem nonsensical, took me a few years to find the method to that madness. Be honest here, not accounting sales and giveaways, to play the game as intended costs around 45$ for one character, with 30$ for each additional alt. There may be a point of two that were unfair to the game, but quitting it due to being unable to relogin was not one of them, any sane newcomer would just unistall after that, the starter zone would be all they would have witnessed.
I have 32 character slots didnt pay a dime for em i have 3 freeform slots didnt pay a dime for em I have almost all the archetypes unlocked only paid for two - people who only play the tutorial and give up on it are the ones with no patients or even try to remotely give it a shot the game has its problems like every old game out there even DC Universe online has its issues its costume creation is horrible among a lot of others things you dont have to pay a dime to play Champions Online it isnt required to enjoy the game and they just revamped the force power set a little while ago its the community that makes the game good but you wouldn't know that playing the tutorial would you get into the game find some people and have fun there is a Halloween event going on right now you can unlock mounts and power sets from doing quests .
@@80sgamer76 A new player will see a buggy mess of a game, with buggy movement, buggy combat, nonsensical mechanics, pay to win with most of the classes being microtransactions, pay for convenience with the bag space, boosters and even all these travel powers being microtransactions, pay for fashion(obviously) and lootboxes adding FOMO on top of this. And all of that will be witnessed before even the end of the starter zone, as you've seen. You say they should give it a chance. Tey do, that's why they are in the tutorial starter zone. You claim it is their fault they don't have the patience to stay. That is quite a backwards statement. Why should anyone stay if even the opening experience is bad? I'm not sure what kind of copium you taking, but I want some of that too. You got the classes mostly through events and giveaways, so they are irrelevant for a newcomer, but for the following critical point: You, allegedly, play the game since 2009, yet you barely have given it like 20$. So the game is that bad, even by your own standards.
