They need to stop with TWD spin-offs and create different apocalypse show where zombies can evolve like in RE or TLOU so you don't know what protagonists will face next. But of course, that would be much harder and expansive than just having people with masks and make-up limping around while making lame zombie sounds.

While I will watch this show just because it's zombie themed, I'm not excited about kids being lead actors for one reason only - it will never be as dark and gritty as adult shows are. Until America is comfortable with showing kids being ripped apart and having kid zombies in hordes, show like this will never prosper. Now that I think about it, why are zombies always adults?

They look clean for people living in a zombie apocalypse.
Honestly this was my first thought. Not only are they clean but they look like they have a base makeup applied and seeing as we are 10 years into the apocalypse all these teens would be pastie af with serious acne due to the lack of acne washes, meds, and other general hygiene products. Like most teen shows they also only hire reasonably attractive people instead of the wide spectrum of looks people have.

I didn't know Disney was making their own spin-off of TWD .-.
The problem with TWD spin-offs and the current season is that Rick Grimes/Andrew Lincoln was the best character/actor they came up with and it's a tough act to follow. Now they struggle to find themselves without Lincoln's Rick. It was basically the end of the show when they wrote him off. They need to bring him back after his hiatus.

It’s last two seasons have been consecutively the two highest rated seasons of the entire series both at 97% so idk if that’s entirely accurate. Things really became fresh again when they changed directors after the season 7-8 slump.
Season 9 and 10 have been phenomenal!!!
The whisperers are the best villains the show ever had and storytelling has been on another level.
kind of have to agree. I love the walking dead and i think the new seasons are quite good but it feels like every time they make a stupid writing decision they reboot. Kill Carl? Time jump. Rick's gone? Time jump. They've created so many problems for themselves that they're running out of cool and unique ways to solve them.

When I first heard about this show, I was interested. But now seeing the trailer... I’m much less so. It definitely looks more like some dumb teen drama... just with zombies. There’s even the generic pop music in the trailer. So disappointed. I might still give it a shot if it happens to come to Netflix in a year or 2.
