That looks so tasty! I’ve only had pickled ginger but now this is going on my list for sure! MasonTops are my favorite by far, they’re so easy to use. Thank you for taking part in Fermented February!! 💜
I cook with ginger and garlic in almost all my food and I cant remember the last time I have been sick. I love both of these and I am going to try fermenting both.
Oh boy I'm going to go this for certain because I make huge batches of Firesider and I can use this as well as fresh. Yummmo!Yum!! Btw.... YES ABSOLUTELY PLEASE do more Fermenting videos. I'm learning and living everything about it right now. I have made a huge list of ferments to do in March!!
I’ve been so intimidated by fermenting. 👀 But I know it should be something I do. Love the ginger idea because I have some that I would normally dehydrate and powder. Here I go! Thanks Jen!
Yay! I'm so glad you participated in this collab (and that you're doing the next one 😉 ) Fermenting February is really pushing me to do more fermenting. I am a total novice about it. I've only done peppers and sauerkraut, but I am seeing a lot of things I want to try.
I’m actually sharing everything thing I am learning with my 87 year old MOM. She said she wishes she would have paid more attention to her mom because she was a fermenting queen. Thank you so much for sharing! Great video, definitely enjoyed it!
Ginger is on my fermenting to do list. This collaboration has been interesting and perked my interest of fermenting. My husband bought me a mason top set a few years ago, fermenting February encouraged me to use it finally. ~Jennifer
I love preserving by fermentation, honestly never thought to ferment ginger and I grow it and use it almost every day. I turn 60 this week so you younguns can still teach us oldsters things we don't think to try. Will be trying this tomorrow. Loved your honest response to trying it. The silicone fermentation lids are my #1 choice. Received your cookbook and am very pleased and dedicated to try a recipe a week until I've tried them all.
Looking forward to trying this. My first (and only) attempt at fermenting was a total fail but I’m definitely going to keep trying! Thanks for sharing.
Yes please do more fermenting. I know I am way behind in videos I am slowly getting caught up with everyone. This ginger looks really good! Thanks you! Be Blessed
We use a lot of ginger with cooking and I love fermenting cabbage. Now I can ferment ginger. This collaboration has been amazing. Y’all did great on this video. Thank you.
My family (mostly me) loves pickled ginger! I have really been diving in to fermented foods the last month. (funny because I had no idea that this was happening on RUclips - just a coincidence) I started my first sauerkraut this last weekend. I also started a sourdough starter the end of January and failed with my first attempted loaf of bread this weekend, however I *think* I know where that failure came from in my process and am going to try again this coming weekend. I just added ginger to my grocery order and will definitely be giving this a try.
I don't know why, but I had never thought about fermenting ginger by itself?? So glad you did this, and I agree, I best go watch the others for some awesome new ideas and probably some reminders as well. Y'all have a great week ahead and God bless.
I add ginger and turmeric root to my fermented cabbage when I make sour kraut, but this recipe for ginger sounds awesome. Can't wait to try it. Thanks for sharing
Sure looks yummy Jen, hubby just bought me that very same kit and I love it! So excited to pull my sleeves up and get into fermenting, thanks for the great video. Love watching you and your hubby, always puts me in a good mood. 😍
I have had my Masonstops for like 5 years or so. Since then mason tops have put a little handle on the glass weight. I love my wooden pounder too. Originally I had bought it as a graduation present for my daughter. I used the 10 percent off-link on Off-grid with Doug and Stacy's site. it may still be there. I was so impressed that I turned right around and bought myself a set too. I use them constantly.
Yum definitely adding this ferment to my recipe stash to try. I've been able to actually grow ginger as a house plant and harvested it in the fall. So this fall I'm hoping to get enough to do at least a ½pound. Thank you so much.
Hmm fermented ginger, I’ve never thought about that how silly of me. Thank you so much for being involved in the collaboration it’s one of my favorites.
Thanks for the reminder on fermenting ginger, I keep forgetting to do it! The pickle pipes are my most favorite thing to use when fermenting. Don't know if you've have tried doing red onions please do...soo good!😍
Thank you so much for sharing. I have yet to ferment but watching all of these videos on the collab definitely eases the scary part for me. Thank you for keeping it real. Well that didn’t work but we can do this. I love real channels and glad that I found you all and your real. 😊
Thank you for sharing this especially with ginger. We have never grown ginger in our garden but maybe this year we will add it. I know when we buy ginger from the grocery store for a recipe it seems to go bad before we use it all so being able to preserve it will be great.
Haven't thought about fermenting ginger. Will definitely try it because I love ginger. BTW you can tighten the lid and you don't have to burp it with the fermenting lid. There's a hole in the little nipple on top so it can release the air. Would love to hear about more fermenting.
We haven’t consumed much fresh ginger but like so many of the fermenting videos we are excited to give this a try too! Thanks for the honesty about the ginger not releasing the liquid and then providing a second option! Thank you for the video.
Wow thanks for showing us how to substitute the salt and water if you do not get the liquid out of the item you are trying to ferment. Looks amazing. Thanks for sharing.
I love fermenting ! We grow our own Ginger & Tumeric ~ nothing like having it fresh . I love my Pickle Pipes ! Fermented garlic is fantastic . Try using the back of a spoon to peel your Ginger . You don't waste as much of the Ginger that way .
This is right on time. I really need to incorporate more fermented foods into my diet instead of depending on OTC supplements. Plus, it is so easy to do. Thank you for sharing this.
Hello fellow Kentuckians! I've been following you guys on and off for a little bit now. I'm glad that you are part of this fermenting fun! I would consider myself still kinda new to the fermentation game, I've been doing some things for a year or two now. I've just started doing veggies recently. I just did some carrots with ginger, garlic and peppercorns, it was super tasty but I think they could have spent another day or two on the counter. I would not have thought to try just ginger, I might have to give this a go. Thanks for sharing!
I can't wait to try this. I was just given some ginger because she didn't know what to do with it. I told I her would use some for fire cider and now I know what to do with the rest of it. Thank you.
I have added ginger to my ferments for an extra layer of flavor, but it ever occurred to me to ferment the ginger as the main attraction. Thank you for this idea.
I am addicted to Ginger! (and Cinnamon; Allspice; Nutmeg; Cloves; Mace...) if I run out of these, my son says, “It’s a “National Guard Call”!” I am so looking forward to this one! Thank you for sharing
I use my ginger to make ginger ale, which is also fermented. No salt just a bit of ginger, a bit of sugar and water. Look up a ginger bug. It’s a wonderful fizzy drink, and it’s fermented. Win-win. 😀
The Mason Tops kit looks really nice. Before I start fermenting I will look into buying a kit. As a beginner I think I will feel safer with a kit. Stay Safe and have a Blessed day.
That was Fun 😊. I taught My Sister over the Phone how to ferment Dill Pickles after Her new Husband asked if She was growing Dill pickles lol. They came out great and they really enjoyed them🐦. Thanks Jenn. JO JO IN VT 💕😄☃
Loved the video and I just wanted to say I have been using your calendula salve for a few weeks now I have lupus and get a painful rash that as it dries it becomes painful your salve has helped it heal in half the time and helps it be less painful thanks for such a great product
Fermenting February is really making me want to do more fermenting. I am a total novice about it. I've only done sauerkraut but I am seeing a lot of things I want to try in the future.
That looks so tasty! I’ve only had pickled ginger but now this is going on my list for sure! MasonTops are my favorite by far, they’re so easy to use. Thank you for taking part in Fermented February!! 💜
Never thought of doing ginger. No need to burp the jar the colored airlock is self burping. Great video. Love yall
I eat sauerkraut and pickled radishes at least every day. I love anything pickled. Thanks for showing two different ways to ferment pickled ginger.
I recently fermented garlic, ginger and tumeric in raw honey 🍯. I can't hardly wait to taste it.
I have been fermenting Garlic & Honey sometimes adding Ginger for a few months now. Love it! Will do Garlic, Ginger , Turmeric & raw Honey next..
I cook with ginger and garlic in almost all my food and I cant remember the last time I have been sick. I love both of these and I am going to try fermenting both.

Man, sorry had no idea the possibilities with fermenting. I’m so excited to try this. Thanks for putting this together!

Yay! I'm so glad you participated in this collab (and that you're doing the next one 😉 ) Fermenting February is really pushing me to do more fermenting. I am a total novice about it. I've only done peppers and sauerkraut, but I am seeing a lot of things I want to try.
