Same! If it wasn't for Loki I probably would have committed suicide ages ago and also I would have never have known about Marvel or be insterested in it but now I am a Marvel fan and I am here alive. Also Odin is a dick. I would slap him if I could because who the hell doesn't tell their son at a certain age that they are adopted and makes them think that what they are are a monster?!? And I feel bad for Bucky because he was literally kidnapped, taken away from his best friend and turned into some sort of freaking robot and then makes him fight his best friend, I can't wait for Captain America Civil War though because some people ship Bucky and Natasha and I wanna see if that ship sails or not but it probably won't like they usually do (Natasha x Clint sinked :'( )

I forget how much of a dick thor was in the beginning. Loki and Thor really are bound together by destiny. If Thor wasn't so belittling to Loki, Loki wouldn't have snapped. But Loki's evil causes Thor to step up and learn some lessons. The more good Thor becomes, the more mad Loki becomes and visa versa.

In reality, Loki was lead through the dark path by Thanos. Thanos half mind controlled Loki by persuading him in power. Young and naive Loki was twisted to the supervillian he is today, causing Thor ans Frigga to br sincerely heartbroken. His love story with Sigyn made him shape up and Thor and Loki will reconcile in the Infinity War when the truth was revealed. Thanos was the REAL villian behind all of the MCU movies all along.
Alongside Loki Thanos also wanted to lead the Maximoff Twins, Gamora and Black Bolt too. But they are smart enough to realize it.

I hate how Marvel sacrifices the chance for a clever, touching movie for a foolish children movie. Instead of annoying scenes not funny with the humans, they should have kept this scenes so full of actual character development

I thought the movie was pretty good until I saw these deleted scenes and realized the wasted potential...
I think that they should have added more scenes with loki doing little tricks like that to show his fun and mischief side more XD
After Infinity War, this deleted scene kills me more than anything else.
So the deleted scenes are far better than the actuall movie. We want to see a good written story with little bit action here and there and not a movie with no story and full with action. I mean seriously.

Because Loki isn't so bad, after all, and he truly cares for his brother Thor?
Because it doesn't really add anything. Sure it shows more of the brothers relationship, but in terms of context, it doesn't really add anything that isn't already in the movie. So this scene is just kind of filler. Besides, the transition of the boys as kids, and having Oden tell them that only one will ascend to the thrown, to Thor basking in the glory of being crowed king, works a lot better.
Probably because it would have had Loki's realisation of who he was, and his turning to the evil side more heartbreaking than anything else, stopping the audience from considering him to be a proper villain.
Why did you delete this? Why do you always delete the better scenes. Urgh.
Cece Cheung I imagine it was deleted because then the reveal that Loki tried to get him killed on that day wouldn’t make as much sense. It also humanises Loki so much more than they did in the first movie, I imagine they wanted to keep him more “evil” for a while.

This is why I hardly look at Loki as an ACTUAL villain blooded or not he and Thor are true brothers even though they fight each other their bond is unbreakable and seeing them in this deleted scene shows us that they still care for each other even though they try to kill each other and despite Loki's dark path his love for his family especially for Thor is still strong cause we saw him mourn when Frigga died and he was willing to join back with Thor to defeat Malikith even though he took the thrown of asgard again at the end of dark world but still Loki still has heart he's mischief and sinister I know but I think I BELIEVE there's good in him I just hope some good will come from him in ragnarok

Hardy Har Har. Loki is never considered good in Thor 3. He raped and proposed to Sigyn the Gold Digging Vanir Princess. Their sinful affair brought Ragnarok, and turned Theoric evil
But yes, Loki will return to the good side after the truth of Thanos half mind controlling him revealed.
Sigyn is the younger sister of Nanna Iwaldidottir and the youngest daughter of Queen Freya Of Vanir. Despite her youthful charm, her bubbly, enthralling spirit and her cash filled voice, in the end she is proved to be shallow, careless, thoughtless and hurtful. Flighty and melodramatic, she never considered the consequences of her actions and lets Theoric and Loki make decisions for her. She's no dormat- she is even more Cunning and clever than Loki. In the end, she killed her own mother and brought Ragnarok.
I hate Sigyn. So much. She should be one of the best written villains in movies.

Awwww Loki is adorable in that scene, he really is a thief because he steals the show.
Why this scene is important:
-From a purely visual POV, it's a PERFECT introduction to the characters: Thor is filmed right from the front, in front of a giant flame. Perfect entrance for the hero of the movie. Loki is filmed in a slightly low angle shot, and slightly from the side. Its foreshadows the danger he represents and his devious nature.
-The scene with the snakes: the servant is scared of Loki's trick, but Thor just laughs at it. It shows two things: one, Thor isn't scared of Loki, and it hints at his superiority to him in their subsequent fights. But it also shows that Thor accepts Loki for the trickster that he is: he doesn't JUDGE Loki. He's probably the only one with Frigga who doesn't judge Loki.
-Loki's speech: why this part was cut, I could never understand. It shows that, as Loki said at the end, he never wanted the throne. If you watch ALL the deleted scenes in this movie, you realize Loki isn't malicious at all: he just saw an opportunity and ran the hell with it. You can absolutely see (thanks to Hiddleston top notch acting) that he truly IS sincere when he says "Never doubt that I love you." That line makes their final confrontation even more painful, especially the "I never wanted the throne! All I ever wanted was to be like YOU!!" part.

Tom plays Loki so so good. This character has lots of dimension and so deep. Loki just hates that Odin lied about the Asgardian thing so that drives him to be a villain and pushes his mind that he wants to destroy Thor but that is just an illusion from the consequences from being lied to, the pain that Loki believes it exists and hurts him, but one thing I can see through seven years of Loki on the screen, at the end of the day and very last breath of him, he still loves Odin and Frigga and never ever doubt that he loves his brother. Well, watch this and then watch him in IW. I'm so proud of him as Tom and Loki.

This. This right here is part of why I love Loki so much. The instant he sees that Thor is nervous, he throws out a running joke to take his mind off of things. And then, oh, that statement. "Sometimes I am envious, but never doubt that I love you." It just kills me every time I watch this. He means it, you can hear it on how he delivers the line. And then he makes Thor laugh again, and yep. Falling hard, head over heels. They should have kept it. Seriously.

You know what's actually really sad? It is one thing for Thor, his brother, a prince like he is one, to make fun of Loki's "tricks". It is a completely different thing for a servant to laugh at him for that. It just shows that Loki wasn't taken seriously at all. He probably had to justify his position as prince over and over again while everyone else just accepted Thor for the warrior/prince/future king that he was.
And for a servant to laugh at him so openly in front of another member of the royal family would have been a death sentence in other regal families. Some servants were killed for less.
Frigga told Loki that they have kept the truth from him so that he will never feel different, because he was their son. But the truth is: Loki always felt different. He fought differently. He looked different. He was treated differently. And he never knew why. They brought him up as one of them. Loki for sure at one point wondered if something was wrong with him when even servants belittled him for doing what he was good at.
I'm not sure where I was going with this but I felt like I needed to say this 😢

"Some do battle, others just do tricks". Thor didn't appreciate what Loki could do, no wonder their paths were different later on. Thor wasn't being mean or evil to his brother, he just never could see magic as a powerful thing that a true warrior uses. If they hadn't deleted this scene, Loki's words about always being overshadowed by Thor would make more sense, I think.
I think it's more that Thor is also jealous of Loki being able to do things he can't.

They needed this scene in the movie. It shows a brighter side to the relationship Loki and Thor have as brothers, this scene could have given us a more detailed look at the two, showing us that it is not all envy that Loki feels towards Thor.

I always find it interesting to remember when looking at this; according to their commentary on the DVD, they deleted this scene because it showed a more sympathetic Thor than they ended up going for.

I wish more people would appreciate the first Thor as much as Ragnarok. I always loved the Thor movies because they were unique and sincere.

That was so pure and utterly beautiful and just downright perfect, my heart cannot stop wrenching. This would've really been a great part of the movie, it shows how Loki does sincerely love his brother.

Watching all the deleted scenes, I understand why they cut these, (I feel the same when I have to curtail my essay) but they should've not. Some scenes like "Save the dog" is a nonsense, but most of them is critical to understand the relationship among Thor, Loki, Frigga and Odin. Although there may seem a dramatic change for Loki, He is very thoughtful person, and I can see what forced him to change so dramatically. Moreover, each deleted scene has good enough correlation. Even the movie becomes 2 or 3 hours long, some should be kept so that audience can make the decisions. I couldn't get the attitude of Odin and Loki initially. The final version was movie was messy, hasty and illogical. Still, I understand how it was hard decision to cut these scenes. -_-;;

I find it interesting how Loki said the correct word. He said 'envious' which means that he wants something someone else has. In the movie, Sif says that he 'has always been jealous of Thor'. Jealous means he doesn't want anyone taking what is his. Loki, silver tongue, gets it right.

Why did they delete this? it shows a bit more of Loki and thor's brotherly relationship, and it also shows more of what Loki can do with his magic. In the actual movie footage, it only shows Loki doing illusions, not turning wine into snakes and stuff.

They deleted it from the movie probably because it would undermine Loki's attempt to ruin Thor's big day by sending those frost giants to the armory...of course, they have to torment us fans by showing this deleted scene and literally begging from every pour in our body to have more banter between the two O_Oo
Finally a sensible comment! This scene would either make no sense when Loki already had plans to ruin the day by committing treason, or drive people to hate Loki for being so pretentious. Imagine telling his brother he loves him while knowing frost giants are on the way to the weapons vault.

You know, Loki can literally transfigure things into whatever he wanted. It seemed it to me he could have gone to earth and transfigure each one of the Avengers into fruit and he would have won. There is more to the story, and that deleted scene from Avengers, I suspect he was being mind controlled by Thanos.
