i saw jaroussky in los angeles oct 2011 , with apollo's fire baroque orchestra , wept through the whole concert. sublime . and yes in person an angel personified . what a gracious man
Philippe's musicianship is outstanding. I am amazed by his sensitivity to phrasing. And visiting historical sites, composer's graves and seeing original scores is cool too.

le souhait que je fais en début d'année et de voir et d'écouter ce magnifique talent lyrique qu'est Monsieur Philippe Jaroussky, ce chanteur qui à la voix d'un ange.. Si toutefois l'ange existe, de toute façon, monsieur Jaroussky est bien vivant.. Pour ma plus grande joie..

J'aime ce timbre de voix qui appartient au contre-alto, les techniques d''interprétation, que cet l'homme fait rayonner à travers le monde. Bonne année à lui et longue vie dans cet univers musical.
Pour certaines Femmes ce serait le Fils ou le Gendre Idéal...

This video is a true delight, and not only because of the singing. I am truly impressed by Jaroussky's knowledge and by how articulate he is on music history. Aside from a very accomplished singer, this young man has a bright future as a teacher and expert on baroque music.
I love this singer above all others amazing his hand movements and his ability to read music -his Dvd is really good and he's capable of having fun!

That "cara la dolce fiamma" at the beginning is indescribable. It's so simple it almost seems a mundane house scene, and yet it is so beautiful it makes you think that litte scene is more than enough for a good life.

I could only say, tht he is not only having the crystall clear voices, he also understands some features of the masterpiece of JC:Bach , one of the famous Mozart's teacher.
I agree: J.C. Bach's beautiful music deserves much more attention. I am pleased that these recordings are available. I wish J.C. had lived much longer than he did. Perhaps he would have made a much greater name for himself. Philippe Jaroussky is excellent as usual.
