Great video. Keep it up. My goggles 2 just arrived & my air unit o3. I bought an o3 to convert my Johnnyfpv QAV-S build to hd, Aswell i ordered a Speedybee master 5 v2 HD with the o3. I am SO excited to get home from my work trip to try this out. Im sure itll be a world of difference going from my analog set up(hdo2's w/ tbs fusion & iflight blitz 1.6w vtx). All I need to do is throw in the air unit to the o3 ( hopefully the 20x20/25.5x25.5/30x30 adapters work so i dont need to get a 3d print made up OR use some very tactile 2 sided tape which i dont want to do ) Thanks for this great review, It has added to the anticipation haha.
Excellent and helpful video. But it cost me an extra $300. I resigned myself to getting the V2's, but now, seeing this video, I'm sold on the Goggles 2. You didn't go over the comfort factor comparison. I keep seeing how 2's r not as comfortable as the V2's. But like u said, seeing where u are going more clearly is very important and the better u can see, the better the experience. Thx
Thank you for this. For the time being, I'm going to keep the old system, but change out the RX to crossfire. With my research into the new system, I learned that the RX of the big black DJI RC1 is 5.8GHZ, and linked to the TX, So, if you lose signal of one, you lose both. That has happened to me, but only once, and that once was sudden, unexpected, and a relatively long walk. Crossfire is 900mhz, so the range and penetration is superior to even the 2.4GHZ of the 03 AU; at least theoretically. I too prefer props in view, and if using an action camera for the keeper footage, the Goggles 2 will improve the user experience, but not suffice to replace an action camera, which is a shame because in camera stabilization would greatly reduce the work flow effort. However, as you noted having the exposure necessary for cinematic footage is not going to work for the visual necessary to fly. These are both great and difficult times for FPV pilots. So many choices, so much money.
@@kerrymillar4981 I believe your right on the overkill; however, I've read/watched the struggles people have with ELRS, so choose to go with the CRSF for ease. i like to fly, but I just want the equipment to work and not have to work so hard to get it to work.
Hey, great review! Currently rocking the V2, but seriously contemplating the switch to the Goggles 2. Like you pointed out, these goggles are basically our eyes in the sky, ensuring a safe flight. V2's got me feeling the struggle - super poor flight experience and not the safest bet. Risky business, you know? Quick question for you: Does the Goggles 2 handle image shaking any better than the V2? That's a deal-breaker for me. And onto my second concern: gearing up for some long-range missions, so I'm curious about how well it picks up video signals at a distance (thinking O3 Air Unit, iFlight Chimera Pro v2, Commando 8 ELRS 915 MHz). Hit me back, this info's crucial. Thanks a bunch in advance!
There’s no difference between the old airunit and new one when its updated to new firmware its still 50 megabits per second. Mads tech tear down of the 03 airunit confirmed its a vista with 4k recording and a upgraded camera for 4k and i found elrs half the price and more straight forward than crossfire
New pilots so spoiled. I flew analog 3 years before dji release the v1s I don't think bruh understand the revolution the v1s was. Most pilots that was round including Joshua Bardwell (fpv know it all) thought digital would never happen. We paid $500+ for analog fatshark HDOs without a receiver. The HDOs was the best of the best and it was garbage once the Dji goggles was released. Comparing V2s to Goggles 2 is like comparing the first 2 electric cars ever made... no frame of reference. Fpv and fpv pilots have been around a long time before dji.
The one reason i cant use g 2 instead v2 that with v2 i can use tiny whoops with analog signal after some upgrades. Am i correct that nowadays we cant do the same with goggles 2?
Thank for all that information. This helped me to decide to gets this units.
@1:00 the Tree Spot is insane! Looking forward to get my Goggles 2 soon.... Thanks for sharing!

just discovered your channel and already watched through a lot of your videos! Amazing! Please keep them coming, really enjoying your topics so far.

I use elrs 2.4 it holds it link over dji on 250mw crossfire is overkill

What’s your controller / radio set up?
Hi, let me ask you, how did you make to see voltage on goggles 2? I can see only 0,0V. Thanks 🙂
Are your props bent
Yeah a lil bit the air unit camera may have not been secured to the fullest extent,
I think the difference is so different because th o3 air unit is better. Pair the Google's V2 to the o3unit let's see if it's still that bad

I wish I could however I can’t update my v2 goggles to the latest firmware, I’m sure it’s way better than the og air unit
in fact 1920x1080 (2073600 pixels) in goggles 2 is more than double of pixels count compare to 1280x720 (921600 pixels) in goggles v2
Asterix Goggles
