      Thanks man... Last year was a pretty rough one and ended up letting YT slip. Aiming to get back on the horse here and do weekly YT uploads with daily clips on socials. Really glad to hear the guides helped ya get in the air! And the Evoque F5D is insanely good! I was torn between that and the F6.... but will likely go 7 instead of 6 next tbh.

      @@TheTomJon Dude, get yourself a 2.5" Cinewhoop, like the GepRC Cinelog25. Get it with a Vista or put this 03 on it and then try flying in those scraggly woods! OMG! It's incredible!
      I fly in a park with tons of oak trees. With DJI, since the image clarity is soooo damn good, I can fly up in the thick canopy of these oak trees, entering into a canopy through an 8" x 8" tiny opening, see every little ghost branch and slowly maneuver my way through and out the same size gap on the other side....then right back into the next trees canopy! It's like flying in a labyrinth of different mazes! Co0ol is an understatement!

      @@Jakke12 I own the v2 goggles and just bought this 03 air unit. The biggest difference is NOT going to be the difference in the 810P resolution we get out of the V2 goggles VS. the 1080P the Goggles 2 give. Bardwell showed close up stills of the difference. It can be seen, but let me tell you, barely! It's the Goggles 2 having OLED screens and being about half the size and weight. Bummer since there's no way to do analog at all with the goggles 2.
      I use my V2 goggles to fly with whoops and it gives an incredibly good image quality for flying analog. For that reason alone, I won't be getting the Goggles 2 yet. I cross my fingers and hope that DJI sees the only thing they are lacking is a very lightweight 1s and 2s capable single board that weighs around 6 - 8g with a tiny camera so we can put it in whoops and small micro drones. They get that, and I'm buying several of those ultralight 1s & 2s whoop boards and the Goggles 2 also!
      I won't need to fly analog EVER AGAIN! 💯
      I told myself about 2 years ago to NEVER BUY ANOTHER ANALOG piece of gear as long as I live, and have stuck to it. I do already own a ton of analog gear, so I just "use what I've got". Having that DJI ultralight whoop board would be my 2nd DREAM COME TRUE, after this 03!!!! 🤞😁

      Thank you for the effort! A small question if I may ask as an Xbox fps (first person shooter) veteran, why is it common to use expo? it seems to be same as stick acceleration setting on Xbox, which is the gamers broad community considered to be bad for muscle memory, I changed my rates to have constant speed ( Center and max speed are the same and expo is 0), which makes a lot of sense to me. Is there a reason to use expo!=0 on drones?

    • @TheTomJon
      @TheTomJon  2 года назад

      Helps with fine and smooth controls centre stick. Small movements. Also! When I fly 10 cam uptilt I set my roll expo to 60 and it keeps coordination way similar to how it is at 30 and 50 uptilt. I'm not sure if it's the same in gaming or not... Havnt used a gamepad for shooters since the first few COD games....

      Thanks for your answer, I’ll give it a shot at some point, for now I’ll keep the constant sensitivity and try to ramp it as I go, that’s the plan, and Xbox and drones for sure have a lot in common because I managed to full manual comfortably after 2 hours on the sim ☺️

    Quite incredible that we can now fly at 1mbps, still have a decent image to see with, and the penetration is unparalleled! Why people are interested in HDZero, when it can't punch itself out of a paper bag, is beyond me. Super competitive racers I can see, but for ANYTHING else, haahaa...it's laughable how it's analog with a sharper image. ANALOG2 is the perfect nickname for it. But their penetration is literally nonexistent! The "Technology" in that system is light year apart from this DJI system!!!
    I almost forgot...using USD, sorry Canadians 🤷‍♂, The V2 goggles cost $429 + 03 Air Unit at $229 = $658 total to outfit one of your quads with this fantastic FPV image clarity and penetration. HDZero goggles alone = $599 ... So, for $59 more than their goggles alone, a person can have this type of FPV performance...not to mention the unparalleled durability and reliability of the DJI FPV system to date.
    This 03 Air Unit is soooo damn good it's taken FPV to a level that most of us, including myself, never dreamed we'd get to! Then there's the 4K/60fps DVR recording, which to me, is just icing on the already amaZing cake! lol 😎🤘

    • @TheTomJon

      Yeah it's all pretty nuts. I'll be keeping my analog for racing (as that's my fav thing in FPV) and whoops. Am considering HDZero for next season as it's the only digital system allowed on MultiGP. The main reason HDZero is what it is and is designed how it is... You can have a flightline of 8 pilots side by side and fly together; DJI systems need to socially distance and without FW mods the current system only allows 3 pilots.
