    Had an opportunity to check both of these out at a local boat show. On paper the Cutwater seemed to be the pick but in person, the Ranger was the better boat, quality wise. Too bad neither has the option of Mercury power since in my area, that’s the dominant engine. They both should really make a push in the Great Lakes area where open bows and center consoles aren’t as practical as boats like these where you can enjoy them almost three seasons.

      Hello Cheap Me. How are you. We too really like the Ranger Tug, so I have to agree with you on that, but if we ever have the opportunity to get any of these boats, we will probably settle for the Cutwater Coupe. Living in the Florida Keys and the Possibilities of traveling on boat to the Bahamas or Bimini we believe the Coupe is better suited. Don't get me wrong, the Ranger Tug is more than capable in handling rough open water but it's more of a trawler style boat that does best on trawler speed. But I could be wrong. Now I did see my first Ranger Tug boat in Key Largo Florida cruising through. Man what a looker Gorgeous vessel. It looked like a 28ft boat. Just a stunning boat all the way around. Thank you so much for reaching out and taking the time to comment. We always appreciate the support to our channel. Many blessings my friend. Stay in touch.

      @@2BearsOutdoors No prob! Thanks for the good content. I also go back and forth with the Cutwater and the Ranger - fortunately I won't be in the market for a boat for a few years so I can take the time and hopefully ride on both of them in the meantime. Take care.

      @@2BearsOutdoors Believe it or not, the Ranger Tugs actually do plane pretty well despite their appearance. They have come up with some crafty solutions for the hull shape. Never ceases to amaze me.

      @@teeheeteeheeish hello and thank you for watching. You are soo spot on. We been looking, researching and really paying attention to both Ranger Tug and Cutwater hole shot and planning. Ranger Tug doesn't hesitate or lags. I guess really it fall down to hull and boat style. I love them both and really if we had an opportunity to get a Tug we will be super happy, but outboard Tugs only. Loll. Thanks again and have a blessed day.

    I love these boats. They are the luxury version of my Trophy 2359. Out of the Ranger and Cutwater, I prefer the Cutwater. It has a larger fuel tank.

      Thanks for the comment and support. Kyle, I have to agree with you on that. I too rather own the Cuter Water than the Ranger Tug. Both are beautiful boats but the Ranger Tug is designed to run a Trawler Speed, I know they could pick and go at over 20knots but most that own a Tug, they enjoy the fuel efficacy of cruising at slow. That's why I believe the fuel capacity is less on a Ranger Tug. Thanks again and have a blessed day.

    My Bayliner 23 was not even close to the spacious way they designed this boat. It's a beauty. Gus they are probably the same size as the Cutwater except the cutwater has the extended plank at the front and that's probably why they call it a 24.

    Is it really 23? I thought the spec said it was closer to 30.

      @2BearsOutdoors  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hello. You are correct. The boat is classified as a 24ft boat from bow to cockpit. The length is not add from the spacious swim platform and the motor. But if you measure from motor to bow it's longer than 24ft. 😊 Thank you for your comment.
