Best undertones concert. I recordet too. Stereo Radio Sound on cassette and Later on a hifi - Videorecorder with picture. Since more than 30 years i wait for DVD with remastered concert. Hear this music so many times and can't no stop. Every Song played so powerful, fast and beautyful. One of my lovelys rockpalast concert from City Essen, Grugahalle, Deutschland.
I saw it on TV in former communist Czechoslovakia, on Austrian TV certainly. I was living at the border in Bratislava. We were lucky to reach Austrian TV. This concert was far better than Christmas Day! The Undertones were and will be forever one of my favorite bands. Love it!!! Thanks for uploading!

Never discovered the Tones until much later like everyone at some point you find something old that is new to you. That is the beauty of music! Saw them live at Solfest festival in 2007 i think it was. They were a bit older but absolutely amazing to see,Fergal was wearing a cool t shirt with Patrick Magoohan as Prisoner. Will never forget it. Armed with a can of beer and a rolly,i was bopping thought the whole set as it was so energy fueled! Big up!!!
I was 15 here ! The undertones one of the greatest bands to come out of the punk/ new wave era ! So much energy & just as good today " minus feargal " but just as good ! It's no wonder the late great John peal loved these guys ! Teenage kicks in my opinion is one of the greatest songs ever written & performed by Derry's greatest ! 10/10 every time ! Ps my perfect cousin is one hell of a song named after me ! A undertones fan since 1978 !
Rediscovering this band. Hooked. What a singer! The musician's tightness is sharp as a blade, yet joyful and seductive. Intense, without a single dead moment. Wow. Btw: People comment the horns. But hey, the horns are here a bit like in the Stones in their heyday. A stroke of bluesy-funky class. Don't think the punk energy was lost.
one of the best rockpalast ever..................Undertones, Mink de Ville, Black Uhuru and Roger Chapman and the Shortlist if remeber correctly....................
About a year after their prime (horns? NOOOOO!!!!) but This band meant so much to me and my mates, saw them many times in Manchester, best night probably at the Russel (Factory) club in Hulme .. Mad dancing on broken glass to Teenage Kicks. Awesome. Thanks guys.
A great concert! Their cover of "Get It On" @ 58:17 is a powerful tribute to Marc Bolan and this is the only place I have seen it. ... Thanks for posting.
what a fucking concert! from one of the best bands ever.....and t rex at the end...wish I was at that concert...thank you for sharing it!!!! an old cat from Paris...
What ever happen to the Undertones? I remember the concert, SO much energy by Sharkey backed up by a great band. A great combination of eccentric front man, pushed by the band. I was shocked to hear the sh@t he played after The Undertones... wasted talent.love to watch it though, Rockpalast moments...

Really like these guys and Feargels solo stuff too.
they couldnt get any better
Undertones gone POP but still the best
Best pop punk band ever. Brass is bobbins tho.
I prefer fan punk band dude! It's not pop in my opinion just like another not pop etc band the one and only BLONDIE! 🗽🍏

They are still playing concerts with a different singer and are still brilliant
A labour intensive Staccato tenor...most of the time.
Fearful Sharkey must be Jack Palence's son .
Should have done Hard Luck to close instead of covering Get it On. Would have blown the roof off that joint.
37:02 you're welcome
You've Got My Number is ruined by those horns!
Yeah, I thought I was having a stereo war with the Chicago fan next door.
legibly trippin!
