Great episode, my son starts at Wolves pre-academy when he turns 5, I didn't realise there was so much depth and understanding required for his development 👍🏽
really good podcast. I have a son in the system and they do little SandC. I would love to get him into more outside but the pricing is very high. I have been quoted £50-£60 per session and they recommend 1 session a week. This is the same with 1-2-1 technical coaching, very high pricing. I see some dads in academy can send the kids to all of this stuff and you do see the improvement. Unfortunately not all of us can afford that when you mix in all other life commitments and the other costs already associated with football. I understand there is so much money in football now days and parents are willing to invest lots but some just simply cant and it makes things such as what this podcast is talking about slightly unattainable. But again really good podcast and eye opening.
As someone who works in the field - I recommend trying to find other parents who are in a similar boat and see if you can get the price down by sending say 3-5 kids at once. 9.9/10 your kid doesnt need anything special compared to his peers but having peers at the sessions will make him train harder. I have also offered to parents if they feel like the pricing is steep, which granted it is as its a reflection of my career and ability, to reduce the price of a session if they can get 2-3 friends to tag along. I make more in 1 hour and save some of my day while also making it more affordable for the client.
Do you have an episode about how scouting been done in professional clubs, what scouts look at for each age group, what’s the percentage been scouted after 12, thx 👊
The dude in the black shirt with the red wiriting, is so negative and thinks every kid or parent has some ulterior motive or filled with excuses and lies.

I wonder what this S&C coach and others in youth prem think of fascia training? Great episode.
Burpix on a 8 year old will create big size in the abdominals. I have 4 in tall abdominals at 34 thanks to that. (K1 sprint kayak) .
