Isa is a fantastic coach, learnt so much in a short space of time. Unfortunately just too far away to go as regularly as needed. 👊🏼💙🛩

I am learning soooo much by listening to your podcasts - thank you! I'm a parent who is understanding football through my son's love of the game and desire to be a footballer. I come from a ballet dancer background - first we were assessed (aged 10 - 11yrs) by our physique/physical capability - hip rotation etc. (acknowledging that bodies develop at different times) - but we were sifted out if the physique didn't fit, as longer term, you were training to be an athlete (as harsh as that may be). Technique was then taught - even stripped back to the basics to get rid of bad habits - developed properly with repetition - daily repetition - it was absolutely like a science!! In football it seems to me that technique comes first and physicality is assessed much later. A lot of parallels, but not the same order of things. Sorry it's a long comment - but all very interesting.

Great discussion. Ball mastery needs to start from a young age so the boy has better decision making on the ball.

Years ago, i dont think we had all these coaching and facilities yet we still produced good footballers. Lots of poor Brazilians who had nothing but street football ended up being amongst the best in the world. It cant be taught but it certainly wont do any harm.
