@@SavanKnits I just uploaded my 2024 recap video and I hope you have a chance to check it out! I was inspired by your infographics on the left side of the screen and made similar ones for my video using Canva 🙂
This is so impressive, especially for your 2nd year. 2024 was my 2nd year too and I am nowhere near your skill or volume level. Congrats!!! So inspiring ❤
what a beautiful and productive year of knitting!! 💗 I know you said the Ester was a slog but I want you to know when you pulled it out my jaw hit the floor. its one of the most beautiful pieces of knitwear I’ve ever seen!
I just found your podcast, I’m so impressed by all the beautiful and not the easiest things you knit. I love that you show how the garments are when worn and the pictures you show when you talk about them. Besides I love Utah, been there several times, travelled all the way from my country Norway. By your beautiful look and since you knit from scandinavian designers I would almost think you have scandinavian ancestors. Great podcast😊
@@monasjvold4686 aw thank you so much! That’s so kind of you to say. I love that you’ve been to Utah a lot! And yes, I have many ancestors from Sweden and Denmark!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this 😊 So many gorgeous garments, and very well presented with all the details of yarn, needles etc 👏 I especially like your Aosta Summer Top. Thanks for the tip, I have put it on my To Knit list for next summer 👍 Regarding weaving in cotton yarn ends, I see Cindy has advised changing yarns at the side of the top/sweater. I also do this, and I weave the ends vertically up & down the side stitch (instead of horisontally). This way, you don't notice the weaving so much, as it's in the side 'seam'. I look forward to new episodes in 2025 and wish you and your family a Happy New Year 🎉✨
@heldagsstrikk thank you so very much!! I appreciate it! And thank you for the tip of weaving in vertically. That sounds like it will work great!! Happy new year to you too!
I think your Ester looks Amazing on you!! Also, the all mohair sweater, I have one I struggled to get lots of wear out of so I now wear it in the winter with my pjs when we have any kind of people over. Totally worth it to look great lounging around! Get wear out of the soft garments, life's too short 💙
What a great recap of your year of knitting! Clearly you get it! The Sari Nordlund lacework top was a brave endeavor and you nailed it. This podcast gave me the perfect amount of information for each project and I learned quite a bit, particularly about designers who I have not yet tried. My favorite garment hat I knit this year was my mustard flower tee (and which I think I will get the most use out of)), while my most ambitious was my Artus shawl (which I realize now that I never put into a project page on Ravelry). All the best to you and your family in 2025!
So many inspiring knits. My favourite knit this year was Slip Me by Hinterm Stein. So wearable - I used Drops Lima and am so happy with the result. I get compliments each and every time I wear it.
I used Drops Belle with wooden needles. I did not find it that splitty. My favorite knit this year was my Lauder V neck cardigan by Rebecca Clow. Love this podcast! Just the right amount of info including yarns. Very helpful
Great work! My favourite Sweater of the year is my Tulip Loop Sweater by Otherloops. I worked it up in bright red Merino and finished it just in time for Christmas. A Fast and very enjoyable knit!
This was one of my favourite knitting year wrap-ups I've watched! Your joy of the craft is really showing here 🥰 My favourite thing I made this year was definitely the Porcelain sweater I finished last winter. I get so much wear out of it and it's super cozy! It was my first time knitting a drop shoulder and I definitely learned it's not my preferred construction, but I don't mind it in that sweater.
36 knits is Wow 😮 , guess you knit everyday ! I wanna knit more socks and a norwegian mitt. 😊 Well Done $ Happy New Year . I visited Yellowstone last summer , very noce 😊
Great podcast! You gave the perfect amount of info for each project. My favourite knit this year was the Sonderbar Sweater designed by Julia Wilkens. I knit it in the exact same yarn and colours she designed it in. Beautiful pattern.
Love your striped sweater - I've been thinking about making that pattern. I have the Port Jacket pattern & plan to make it soon, too! My favorites this year so far are my Salty Days sweater, Book Club Cardigan and Jacket No. 2 :)
It was so fun to see your 2024 knitting journey! I wasn't interested in the Port Jacket, but every time you talk about it, I want it more and more. Haha! Your hibernate pullover is gorgeous! 😍 My favorite knit this year is my Douglas Cardi. It was so fun and quick to knit and I wear it the most.
Great makes ! You learned so many skills in 2 years, it is amazing. I agree with you the Skyline tee should be frogged as loose knitting makes it see through, not good for summer and too short as well, so better reuse knitting for olive yarn !!! I like your ester, do not think it looks small. The colour combinaison also looks good I find.
I feel like the longer garments look very good on you I feel like shorter tees look funny but that’s just me thank you for detailing these garments loved this video
Brand new subscriber here. My favorite knit this year was Dixie Creek Cowl by Emily Clawson. I knit in Malabrigo Rios Camaleon color way and it’s such a wearable knit 🧶 ❤. I plan on doing a few more.
I have just finished the grey Port Jacket and I love it! Will be starting the Book Club Cardigan soon (I have bought a lot of extra yarn for it!) I can recommend the Cumulus Blouse be PetiteKnit, it is easy and fits really well. I did mine in Drops Flora and Drops Kid Silk and it looks really lovely.
This was such a fun video and you made so many beautiful garments this year! I’ve been knitting a few of the Hack it Jacket by Rillerut. It’s a great pattern to use where you can modify and design your own cardigans with different textures, edges, cables, models, fabrics. Can really recommend although the pattern is quite sparse så maybe not the best for beginners 😊 Looking forward to the new year and seeing all the beautiful knits you will make. Hedgehog sick yarn is hand dyed so variance in colour will happen.

Reusing the skyline tee yarn may be an issue if you need to use extra yarn because it won’t block the same since you shrunk the tee

It's been my experience that cotton gets shorter and wider when blocking--so that might be contributing to your fit issues. Sigh. It's a struggle.
