- A @Disney fan or Fashion lover’s dream! Heroes and Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume Exhibition is a celebration of the artistic elements and fashion design that goes into creating the costumes for live action Disney movies.
With 70 costumes that span almost half a century, this exhibition takes you on a journey into the enchanting worlds of your favorite live action Disney movies, highlighting the designers behind the costumes, as well as their inspiration for their designs.
The exhibition features stunning pieces of concept art sketches, Cinderella’s glass slipper, Maleficent’s staff, Mary Poppin’s carpet bag, and wardrobe pieces from over 20 films including Princess ball gowns, majestic capes, intricate uniforms, dazzling tiaras, and more from some of Disney’s most beloved characters.
We visited the exhibit during its opening weekend at The Birmingham Museum of Art, and the exhibit will run through August 18, 2024.

Miss Ma'am........the best version of Cinderella was not even mentioned in this video and I am OFFENDED! 1965's "Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella" starring miss Lesley Ann Warren. I know this was Disney themed but that was iconic lol! Love your video!

I agree Emma Watson’s yellow dress is a beautiful costume, it just doesn’t give Belle, or really match the vibes of the rest of the movie. Beautiful dress in a different context but a real missed opportunity for this film, in my opinion.
Absolutely! So pretty, and gorgeous on her. But doesn’t fit into this film. Other costumes from the movie felt more grand than this dress, which like you said was a missed opportunity for something that should have been stunning!
