Mutoid Man are the type of rock group I consider truly uncategoriseable... they are really difficult to fit into the heavy metal, punk/hardcore or psychedelic/progressive boxes and all the better for it
Saw them last night at Casbah in San Diego. One of the absolute best live bands I've ever seen. I hope our modest audience showed enough love to redeem San Diego and bring them back again!

Some of the fast 12/8 stuff reminds me of Opeth/Rush in a way. I love the guitars on the upbeat juxtaposed with the ride. Fantastically creative and heavily driving music. 👍
