Peter Pauper Press and PaperBlanks are my favorite journals. Hard back, thick pages, they come in different sizes and designs. Very durable to break in the binding to lay flat for us lefties.

Has anyone ever taken your journal and started reading it? In elementary I took my journal with me everywhere, including school, and a boy behind me snatched it out of my backpack (it closed with a clasp, not a zipper, and we had to share lockers with one other person) and started reading it out loud. I snatched it back so fast! I couldn't trust to leave it at home, so I took it with me.

Maybe do a giveaway of all of the journals you don’t think you’ll use (if any after you try another one), and try some new brands, paperage, leuchttrum, etc.

Carrie, what brand of mild liners do you use? I've been Journaling since 2001. 🙂 My own little place to express thoughts, emotions and ideas without judgment.
It's all in cursive, which a lot of people can't read, so it's safe. 😆

That’s actually a great idea.. I can write in cursive but I decide not to because I’m kinda slow at it but that’s actually amazing lol
I admire your consistency and how honest you've been. Good point that journaling doesn't need to be awesome pretty and easy to understand. I'm wondering have you ever wrote a letter and then burned or thrown the letter away? I hear that helps to get over certain emotional deep feelings.

That’s a great idea! I personally love writing though. I’ve been liking to write since I was little (I’m talking first grade) but that’s a pretty good idea for ppl who don’t like writing

Hey Carrie!!!! I just wanted to know something. I started journalimg just because of you and I was on my 5 or 6 entry ( and I used to keep it in my desk draw) and one day I opened the draw and it's gone!!! And you might say I kept it somewhere and forgot, but I am 💯sure that I kept it right there! I literally searched everywhere and then just left it. After dinner again I just opened my draw and there it is!!!! It is just so weird. And now it happened again now. And I still didn't find it. Can u please tell me what to do as I am afraid that somebody might read it!!!

You shouldn't feel that way. 💜 Your journal belongs to you. It is YOUR own place to safely express yourself. Maybe write a promise near the begining of your journal that you give yourself permission to be honest in your journal no matter what. I did that and it really helped. 💜📖✍️
I am 13 too and when I was younger I felt that way too but now from Carrie I released that the journal belongs to you and you can write whatever you want without feeling embarrassed because nobody is gonne read it if you don't give them promission to. So don't fell that way just write whatever you want and one day you will look back on it with laugh or embarsment but you will feel better when you are writting it and that is the most important. ❤

Journaling is my first love - but I done-read them either. If I want to remember something specific I put it in my common place book.
