I am much older. I started journaling Nov. 29, 1976. I have several boxes full of journals. I highly recommend it. Just remember, there are no Journal Police. No one is going to test you, correct your grammar, spelling, sentence structure or content. Journaling is highly personal & individualized. There is no right or wrong way to do it.
I highly recommend writing a journal by hand. Our emotions come thru & it's interesting to observe the changes in our handwriting as we age.

what journal are u on? id expect to be somewhere around triple digits by then i think and even then if it is then by jounal 100 youd only need to finish 1 every 5.4 months
@@tristantheoofer2 I have always used spiral notebooks. Most of them are 200 pages. All are 8 x 11". I think I'm on my 47th.
@@patwagner9308 oh ok noice. for me i use a5 notebooks bc they arent too small but they give u a good amount of room to write in so i based my number off of that. also i see u pretty much finish 1 notebook a year so thats pretty epic tbh

I just lost the two most important people in my life and I would like to note that if I didn't have my journal right now I'd probably be even more of a mess than I already am. You inspired me to start journaling every day and for that I'm incredibly grateful. Journaling through this hard time in my life has really put into perspective all of my thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and I can look back on those things and reflect.
I remember when I first started watching Carrie during quarantine I had just started my first journal and now I’m almost half way through my sixth! I love watching your journal collection grow!

Hey!! I don’t have the time to do daily RUclips videos in January, BUT I was thinking of doing the daily prompt challenge on my Instagram / TikTok ?? And then at the end of the month I could upload all 31 prompts in one big RUclips video for anyone else to use if they don’t have insta/tiktok. The only downside would be that the RUclips video would be after January is over

I remember I wrote about when the first Covid vaccine got released. I went to the park and sat on a bench to write about it.
I wrote about COVID first time when I got a notice from school about it. They mentioned the symptoms, do's and don'ts etc. And another time I wrote about our school being closed because of it. And when my parents got vaccination. etc
I loved this. I feel the same way looking back at my old journals. I cringe Everytime. The times I thought I was "in love", in toxic pointless situationships, my depressed stage.. just so much 😬 but like you said, at least we can see how much we have grown as a person 😍🖤 I'm going to check out more of your videos 😊😊

I always find it interesting that I started journaling in January of 2002, 3 months after 9/11. Like…depressing as it may have been it would have been fascinating to have recorded my reflections on that event.
But I do have COVID journals.
I didn't write a ton about the pandemic in all honesty. I was more into writing daily stuff, like what I watched, celebrity crushes, ect. Friday I wrote about a rock star I love that passed away. Wrote about the Army-Navy game, and tonight will write about NFL games. 🏈 oh and of course about classic music and movies, and tv shows too!!

Oh my gosh! I can’t believe it’s almost been a year already! It felt like just yesterday I was coming to the YT lives for the January journaling prompts.❤️😊 I’m so proud of you, Carrie. Thank you for working hard on videos even as you were tackling college. You should know that you inspire so many people including myself. I wish you the best of the Holidays this year!
I've tried to start a daily journaling habit. I hope I make it five years, right now I'm up to 35 days and some pretty special stuff has happened in that time that I'm glad I wrote down (2 birthdays for starters). I wanted to make a journaling for a year goal, but I have a really short attention span, so I gave myself the goal of writing every day for the summer starting June 21st and if I make it past that, I might set my goal of six months, but we'll see.
I’ve always did mini journal/diary entries from 2016 when I was 11 they would always be off and on but I’ve started to journal more recently in these past 3 months with my life changing and becoming a teenager and all to understand my emotions and my anxiety I don’t journal every day usually when I need to get stuff out but I’m starting to realise I should journal the good and not only the bad
i thought that it was bad that i was filling up my journals in months until i watched this ty carrie you help me so much keep makeing journaling videos you go girl!
I’m about to finish my first journal and am so excited to finish. I surprisingly am going to finish it in 2 and a half months. It’s been a great experience and I am %100 going to continue. If anyone is thinking about starting, I say do it! I am looking forward to looking back at my current entries in a few years

Thank you for sharing! I am journaling daily, and have several journals on the go. One for thoughts, another for a bullet journal, one for a sketchbook and one for a story notes I am working on :) I made a video on my current journals but could also make an updated one, thanks for the idea :D

I'm on my ninth journal and soon I'm about to finish the pages. It's pretty cool doing these things. Writing stories and thoughts. And who knows, maybe some random person might find one of my journals.
Come back a year later for this video. I just know that my journal was on yearly base and I also have thrown out extra pages when I finished the whole year. Sometime it might have a little damage to the journal itself but it’s okay. I am just ordered my next year journal. You give me a good idea to store my journals too. Love it with big thank you❤️

I’m curious what you use to print your photos to fit inside your journals. Do you print them on regular printer paper and resize the photo to make it smaller? Or do you use a special photo printer?
Hi! I’m not Carrie but I thought I would share how I print photos for my journal! I bought a pack of photo paper from an office supply store and I upload my photos into a word doc, resize them how I want, then print them on the photo paper! It takes some trial and error to make sure he print settings are right for the photo paper, but it’s the easiest way I’ve found the print pics for my journal!!
Hey Kassandra! I just put the pictures into a Google doc, resize them, and then print them out on regular printer paper. That’s what works easily for me!
